What Android software works best with Quicken? I'm transitioning from a WinMo 6.5 phone and am really missing Pocket Quicken...
Thanks!

Hi there again,
I've been doing a lot of reading and searching through the forum and I now understand a lot more about my XDA - luvverly...
But I have a couple of questions - I have looked I promise but I can't find anything.. If I've missed something please forgive me !
This is all based on the fact that I still haven't upgraded the ROM to 1.1 or PPC 2003 (I'm kind of waiting for 1.2! - looks exciting!).. Yes I know I should, but are these problems common to standard PPC 2002 and will get fixed or are there other answers ?
1) Is PPC 2002 software that I install compatible with PPC 2003 ? I've got a shedload of freeware that states PPC 2002 only - is it a case of it's just untested ?
2) Program stopping - this is a major pain, when I cradle the unit and ActiveSync kicks in, it errors with "unresolved" if I have programs running.. so I have to go into memory etc and stop everything before I cradle it... I'm still not sure I understand the concept of keeping the progs open when I've exited them - can anyone help me here ? Is it like having a service in NT ?
Sorry for all of the questions, I know I should upgrade, but I like to understand why I'm upgrading first, so I'd really appreciate any help you can give.
Oh and my number port still hasn't happened..............
Well don't all rush at once
I've sorted the brightness thing - it's to do with the background picture still being selected when I added a new theme... fairly basic stuff I realise..!
For Q1)
Most PPC2003 APP compatible with PPC2002, however some of them will cause fatal error on the machine -- Such as BatteryPack 2003 5.05 (or any version earlier). The machine will never bootup after installed the 5.05 version, except a hard-reset.
Another other example that didn't work with PPC2003 is Call2Pic, but we can use PhoneExt 1.2, which is a freeware and more powerful (if only for ringtone). XDA Phone skin chooser, Double Launcher, VITO Voice Dialer PE 2.5 work too.
By the way, all games I tried are compatible with PPC2003. Almost all media player work perfectly with PPC 2003 too, except PocketMVP.
I think it is a very good percentage of compatible software for a new OS update.
Lotus EasySync Pro doesn't work.
Just a note to add to the list. EasySync Pro does NOT work under 2003. It's what forced me back to XDADev 1.1 since I have to be able to Sync with my Lotus Notes system at work.

excellent news - thanks chaps !!
I'm clearly in the presence of people that are far more knowledgable than I, and although I wouldn't claim to be a developer I do know my way round a unix box and also work with high-end music apps (unique wav files anyone?) so I'll be glad to offer any assistance I can, whilst learning the more intricate aspects of this wonderful machine...
cheers again...
Novosec Pocket Facelift works but has problems witht he skinned taskbar. sux cuz its a nice taskbar. other than that its fine.
Hello Forums first,
this is my first post here and i am very glad to see such a productive Community around one of my most important Devices! Very Cool
I would like to upgrade my o2 Neo cause i hope for more and better Functions. A better Bluetooth Stack ( Sync over Bluetooth with Vista ) and advanced Wireless Functionality ( WPA, maybe WPA2 ). I could use newer Programms, Tools and so on.
Have to say i am new to this scene, most of my time is spent on XBox Modding and Linux, so i have a few Questions before i start.
My Neo runs unmodified, like i bought it. It runs a pre-installed WM5 with o2 proprietary Software, called Homezone Control. My Questions about the Upgrade and about Worst Case Scenario:
Is it possible to download and Install all Tools ( Homezone Control and maybe Hidden Apps ) which are needed to use my Providers Funtions / Offer on WM6 without Problems?
Do i have to "unlock", "unbrand" whatever my Device to run WM6?
Which updates would you suggest? I would like to run the Neo with the newest Upates und Firmware - if this is possible and a good Idea
Is it possible to do all these Steps within a Virtual Machine? Any Experience in this Case?
Most important! Is there any chance of locking my SIM - Card or any other way of locking me out of my Mobile Functions? I donĀ“t know anything about Secure Systems and/or copy protection on Mobile Devices so i am a little bit scared
If you could answer the little Questions, it would help me alot! Thank you.

try google to search for the old version if u want it - don't have it anymore.
But it realy is old and e.g. novideocall can be made.

ist the biggest lag in windows mobile - missing apps - microsoft noticed this market much too late and now we nearly go no support (compared to other platforms)
hello, i was just wondering, i have flashed many roms based on WinMo 6.5.5 and on all of them i got the same problem. When running certain apps (like Garmin Mobile XT navigation software) they don't stretch all the way to the top leaving a wider space for the top bar(the one 6.5 used to have) than the thinner one on WinMo 6.5.5. As a result i can see part of the homescreen backround while i'm running the app. Is there a fix for that..?
you can give this a try
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4492692&postcount=3117
but id be surprised if it wasn't already included in one form or another in cooked 6.5.x roms, perhaps its a problem of garmin xts?
oh i just noticed the following in the link u gave me:
UNSUPPORTED WINDOWS CLASS (Know Bug)
* Don't Include Garmin Window into WindowClasses, It's not supported yet.
thanks anyway man, i am using the new energy rom it must have been coocked in, shame for the navigation software, its working perfectly little annoying though i will give navigon a try
Is there an initiative to port Android to the Motorola MC75? This is an 'EDA' (motorola's own name for these devices, Enteprise Digital Assistant) and runs on, like most 'EDA's' on Win mobile 6.5
So in theory, some ports should work I guess, but there is a difference- there is a physical laserscanner on this device. Any advice on ports?
Hi there
I am also attempting to get Android onto a Motorola MC75, did you manage it if so can you point me in the direction of a suitable port?
and i think getting the laserscanner or Pico imagine engine to directly input the data like the windows mobile application scanwedge or datawedge may be a big issue unless you can rebuild that application to run on android??
hmm and now?
Not sure if any one is still interested in this - but the HTC Athena does use the same processor and it did have an Android on the Athena project that did make progress -The barcode Scanner is an "SE950" is there linux support for an SE950?
