A major problem has developed with my qtek. All the programs have disappeared. When I press start I am greeted with a completely blank page.
All the shortcuts on the mian screen are invalid and I can't run anything.
The phone is still funtional and I can access my contacts and calendar information but I can't sync it because it looks as though activesync is missing.
I have tried a soft reset (battery out) but the problem persists
I even tried a hard reset using the power on soft key method but this didn't actually go into the hard reset screen. It looks as though the rom is corrupt - has anyone had an experience of this?
I am now getting device low on memory messages all the time but can't even attempt to remove anything as I can't access any programs - please help!!
Please read the other thread where you asked what buttons the softkeys were.
Hardresetting will probably work, or installing the latest rom from your distributer might also work, but try the hardreset first.
That is what I thought - altough hard reset does not work and all the programs are missing including activesync so I can't put a new rom on it either!
Hi guys,
recently flashed a new rom onto my HTC HD2..
Obviously it wipes out numbers/contacts etc..
So now when Ive gone to sync my phone with Microsoft MyPhone I get a your phone time is wrong error so I can not complete the setup.
I have changed my phone time, changed the locale to UK etc..
nothing is working!!
Any suggestions?
you can try and re-install it, i have the latest version i think i'll upload it
Double check that the time and date is 100% accurate. Disable the 12 hour clock while setting it up if that helps. If you still have trouble then hard reset the device and start from scratch
Hi!
Device: HTC flyer
My market will stopped working, it has been a week now - I wrote all about clear cache etc. but does not work - so last solution seems to be a factory data reset.
But under the factory data reset - the screen says: "rebooting" they flyer freezes and I can't do anything. After several times trying to turn the device off; it finally says program not responding and I can close the factory reset down. But that does not solve my problem. It must be doing something under the initial rebooting as eg. my notes in "notes" are gone.
The purpose for buying the device was for downloading books and use some of the programmes from market etc. but can't download anything. Updates cannot be downloaded neither.
It stats to download but it's downloading while saying " download unsuccessfull"
Hope someone can help
Try manually going into the bootloader. Hold down and power. Then reset from there
make sure to post questions in General as this is very blatantly the wrong subforum
try the reset as described above you will need to disable fast boot though first...
Hi all,
Just had my new S3 for a few days and loving it so far apart from 1 thing.
I updated the firmware the other day via Kies but now the MTP driver fails to install.
I've uninstalled Kies, drivers, downloaded it again and reinstalled but nothing. Cable is fine and its only happened since the update 2 days ago.
Any ideas as i cant connect the damn thing to my PC now to take pics off, put music on
Cheers
Anyone?

have you tried some other pc ??
I've had the same problems, and seem to have narrowed it down. I originally had work email on my phone and it caused my phone to not connect to the PC due to security policies. I removed the email and it started working again. However at some point it stopped working again. I had rooted my phone and so I thought maybe that had something to do with it. After trying everything, I found a thread that mentioned factory reset may help. I tried this and sure enough it came back. Until the next day. It stopped working again. I did a factory reset once more, and it started working again. This time I skipped google login (restore). I installed an app at a time and reset the phone. All working still, After a while I got the confidence to restore everything and so far, all working.
My best guess, is the google backups was backing up and restoring something that was causing the MTP driver to fail. It's definitely something on the phone that causes this problem (in my case at least). Since I went through a clean backup / restore cycle now, it doesn't seem to be happening.
Hope this helps!
try on another usb port,off/on usb debugging again, reboot phone ,troubleshoot connection error on kies ,then connect to try , make sure to use original data cable

This workded for me!!!!! I had tried everything for 2 days but only this worked and I didnt loose root...
Hi! I unrooted my Optimus Chat (LG C555) with SuperOneClick then installed a few apps, one being (ROM Toolbox Lite) then I deleted 2-3 meaningless factory apps such as Blutooth, LG Market.. and rebooted doing a factory reset through the software because somehow it's what it did when I asked to backup my current ROM.. then when the unit rebooted I got greeted with a black screen, only the toolbar on top and I get the following message:
(The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly)
Once I close it there's nothing I can do to go in settings. I tryed a hard reset with the buttons but it keeps doing the same thing in a loop. I can't believe the unit looks to be bricked only because of 2-3 useless apps that I deleted. Is there anything I can do to make it work? I tryed (Android Commander) but it doesn't see the unit. SuperOneClick won't work anymore, I cannot hear a USB sound when I plug it in my computer and LG programs see it but when I click the (SOS Recovery) it try to download something but just fail everytime after 35 seconds with an unknown fatal error so there's no way at all to reset it and restore the factory apps on the internal memory. Hell I didn't even see a single custom rom that showed my cellphone in the compatibility list as if my cellphone didn't exist though it came out 2 years ago.
Is it good now for garbage or there's some special trick I could try to recover it? I wasted 9-10 houres already I'm gonna get crazy! Please help.
