Hi, i'm wondering if it is possible to build android (2.2 when it's released) and somehow run it with the HTC Hero drivers. Or would i need HTC's sourcecode for that?
And another question. Nexus One will run a plain vanilla build, as it has no proprietary drivers, or am I wrong?
Thanks in advance

Well, I'm still an Android noob, but I know that you might be able to run the 2.2 SDK dump on the Hero. And when the source comes out, I'm sure the boys over at Hero Development will give you a good release. But if I'm wrong, sorry.
Think so, it should be a little while. The only reason ASOP wasn't good for the Hero was because the source for .29 kernel was never released by HTC. Now that the community has .29 source code, and with Cyanogen able to move to the newer kernel (his kernel is already Froyo compatible version wise), it's better than before.
Donut, Eclair need .29
Froyo needs .32
Check wikipedia
If its a CDMA Sprint Hero, you are in luck...

Can someone out there port HTC Legend ROM to Optimus One? I just want the flash lite that is working on the Legend. Apparently it can only work with the HTC sense ui and HTC browser. So can someone port the Legend rom altogether? Legend has the same processor type and speed. So I hope that there will be no problem. Please don't tell me to download Skyfire. I just hate it.
Cheers
people just should do it like on the iphone make flash as other plugin for the browser i am sure we can make 10.2 to work
if i would find anyway to extract adobes 10.1 maybe we can rewrite the code for the lgp500
Hello, Has anyone flashed the htc jetstream/puccini rom onto the touchpad? There are rom for the puccini available now. =)

and CM10, don't forget
but CM9&10 haven't full worked features, like videocam recorder, HW acceleration video...
I tried many HTC Legend ROM's in the last year, from CM6 to CM9 and few more stock ported.. but let me share my conclusion:
B 0.8.4 based on stock HTC FroYo is the best stable daily used perfect ROM!!!
BlaYo - i'm sure that ARM6 devices are so challenging at the moment but we love our Legend so much.
What are the chances to port HTC one C ICS with sense to HTC legend?
