Hi..since my oem battery 's slowly dying, i'm looking for a replacement one, with the same size as the original, but with more mAH..which one has the highest capacity?
i just ordered one off ebay for £8.95 gbp 2400mah thats double the standard battery.
credo che senza cambiare la scocca sia da 1700/1800mha o se no le trovi anche da 3900mha ma a quel punto diventa troppo grande il dream
*i think that without change the back cover you should take a 1700/1800mha battery or if you want to change the back cover you can find also 3900mha battery
1400mAh, a must have for any HTC Dream/G1 user
The popular name brand 1400 mAh is the Seido: http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/basi14tmg1.htm
They list for $45 (I know...) ...the trick is that if you do not *have* to have the same size battery, you can get more capacity for the same money with a little bit more thickness - I'm thinking the 2600 mAh Seido, or cheaper for an off-brand one.
But if you need original size this means you're picky and you probably don't want to cheap out on a battery that's going to give worse life than the one it replaces.

Naaw, the g1 is already thick as-is, i already have a thick 1600 mah battery (unbranded)...with that it doesn't even fit in my pockets xD i only use it when i want to tether on wifi ;D
Are you saying that seidio batteries are worse than the original? if so, i'd go with these ones!
http://www.amazon.com/Battery-1400mAh-T-Mobile-Android-Phone/dp/B0030BLEPQ/ref=pd_bxgy_e_text_b
Still 1400mah each and..they're only $7!
Mind if they ship in italy? :/

Mmm...gia 1600mah è grossa il doppio, addirittura 3900 credo renderebbe il telefono un bel mattone XD
1600 mah is double-size already, think 3900mah would be a brick xD

No, I was saying that the Seidio batteries are what many people use. They just cost a lot.
Thanks for the pointer to the other ones; I will try those out too.

Hey guys, well I got a replacement 8525 today. The new 8525 (now branded AT&T) came with a 1300mAh made in China by Sanyo battery model HERM 160. My old 8525 has a 1350 mAh made in Taiwan by DynaPack Co battery. model HERM 161
I know that the 1350 mAh is supposed to last longer, but which one has quality cells? So which battery should I keep?
Sanyo has a pretty good reputation for batteries. I wouldn't worry about it much as you'll probably be looking for a jumbo battery soon if you use it much.
i would go for the dynapak, ive had that in my prophet and it was really good, however Sanyo is probably the best cell manufacture (if its not counterfit)
I have both, and get much better life out of the 1350 battery... The Sanyo has less battery life, for me...
Hi, is there a choice for more powerful battery (1500mAh or more, for ex.)?
I've had very good results with batteries from Seidio. The 8525 pack from them is labeled 1500mah "Japanese Cells assembeled in Taiwan". I have two and they are excellent.

I just bought this:

3000mAh battery It is the biggest available for the Hermes. Also cheaper than boxwave and others on ebay. Only about $27 including the shipping.
Holy Crap! The next choice will be one of those hats with a battery strapped to each side with a coil cord dropping down to the phone, now that's power on tap!

Yes!
I chose a single battery to charge up and simply keep on me for emergencies as my WM6 rom keeps my default battery topped up for well over 2 days.
I wanted a long life battery but decided to stay with a thin phone as it would mean messing about each time i sat it in the desk top charger or case.
Each to their own though.
The single battery charges remarkably quick and lasted ages so am using it instead of the 1 month old original. The seller is VERY quick and also sells other size hermes batteries too.

Charging once a day is good enough for me! So whats the strongest battery I could get for the 8525 without enlarging the back of the phone?

Looks like it's the 1500 mah battery. I saw the Seido one, but they were charging like $50 for the whole thing (including shipping to SF, CA). I saw this site, and it looks decent, so I ordered from there for much cheaper...

If I get forked on this, I'll be sure to rave loud and hard to everybody, but I'm not that concerned. I used PayPal so at least I didn't have to give out my CC number. Site doesn't look that high quality, but if they have the goods and deliver the goods, no worries.

Hey,
I used a CS 1500mAH in my TYTN, not better than the serial battery. Today I used the mugen 1500mAH, very better.
I think CS is cheaper but they have not the full capacity they sell.
Oliver
ive always used mugen powered batteries when it came to extended, they are the best quality out there. a little pricey but the best.
for the touch pro they have two out so far:
1800mah STANDARD SIZE battery. i am looking into getting this one because their is no need for a extended backpeice, its the original size.
http://www.mugenpowerbatteries.info.../es109514_es120302495377/Products/HLI-T7373SL
the second one is a 4500mah extended battery that comes with a new backpeice.
http://www.mugenpowerbatteries.info.../es109514_es120302495377/Products/HLI-T7373XL
one question i have is, will the backpeice fit the tmobile US touch pro 2 ? the tmo us touch pro is just a flat cover that dosent go around the edges, but looking at the unbranded tp2 and the backpeice goes around the edge. so are they a different size or the same ?
in opinion, which one is a better value ? taking into thought the size difference
I would get the 1800mAh for 2 reasons.
1. Better value for money.
2. No extra battery cover needed. OEM TP2 fits fine with 1800mAh
If you do buy the 1800mAh, please do post a review...
also if you look on the mugen website, they also have a 3000mAh for $80 which fits the TP2 but a extended battery cover is needed which is supplied...
I'll surely go for the 1800mAh. not that pricey after all, if it really gives that 20% more usage time with no need for weird battery covers and so on! I've been crossing my fingers for months hoping to see a standard size / increased capacity battery!
moreove mugen power batteries are well known all over the world as I can see, and much appreciated by many users, which is good!
wow I'm so happy! jayizzbakk you're the man!
UPDATE: all htc touch pro 2 t7373 batteries are currently out of stock. I wonder when they'll be back on stock again??
I purchased one of these on eBay without thinking. No it doesn't fit the Tmobile USA Touch Pro 2.
<http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370245860031&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT>
I'd think having a 4500ma battery for trips etc would be great.
I'm guessing the one you listed is not for the Tmobie Touch Pro 2 either.
I have one of the 1800 ma batteries on its way to me now I will let you know how it does on the Telus TP2

I was looking into getting one for my Telus TP2 as well. Please do post a review.
no problem, im also waiting for them to come into stock. im afraid that it wont be a big difference
I don't think there is is an extended battery with a rear cover made for the At&t fuze...\
I too went on ebay, bought a 2800mah and cover, not realizing what the descript meant by unlocked (unbranded)
blasted the seller with negative feedback, there in hong Kong, even if they where to credit mysale and shipping both ways, I wouldn't have been satisfied, for the time I waited and that was with me paying express.... they should have written Unbranded, not unlocked(unlocking is software, un branding is hardware) Period
i saw the exact same one, and was thinking that unlocked has nothing to do with it lol
im hoping they can make an extended with a rear door in mind of the tmo tp2 users.
im really looking into the standard size extended because this phone is already big and heavy, no need for a size boost
I was liking the idea of something like the HTC Battery bank but it's kinda expensive. What do you guys think about making something like this:
http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ele/1331980387.html
Would that even work, or worse yet, would it harm the device. Too bad I just sold my MDA or I'd have an old piecer to test it on.
I haven't seen any real high AAA Lipo, maybe 1,000 - 1,500 Mah not any improvement
Unbranded Extended Battery
I did the same... I bought the unbranded 2800. I just looked and seen that it wont fit. I bought it on the 22nd and they put a note saying it would only fit the unbranded on the 24th... So now I have to wait for it to get here, just to send it back...

probably after I gave them neutral feedback, Listen I waited over a week to get it and paid the express shipping, its not a total lose, cause the batter is still good, but there is nothing they can do to make me happy, short of refunding me the whole sale, and I wouldn't want or expect that, so.... "just changed unlocked to unbranded" sothis don't happen to anyone else
mugen batteries for touch pro 2 will be in stock by the end of next week. their customer service is superb, will surely buy the 1800mAh one, though I fear it won't be much of an improvement...

won't see much of an improvement till u move too the 2400 and beyond, I'll wait till they come out with an extened back cover
I wonder if this is correct: 1800mAh is 20% more than 1500, so is it correct to assume that it will increase my phone life of nearly 20% (likely less - but HOW MUCH less?)?
There are some 1800mAh batteries for the TP2 on ebay but I can't imagine a $1.50 battery is going to do much besides melt my phone.
and what about that:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/HTC-Touch-Pro-2-...3?hash=item20ad159355&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177
It's hard to tell how thick the back cover is
Got my Mugen 1800 ma battery today
It arrived in todays mail will let you know what my impressions are after I have used it for a few days.

I'm sure this has been asked but I couldn't find it by searching.
I need a solid answer from someone who tried using the TF201 dock with the TF300 tablet. This is very important due to a decision we're considering at work.
Thanks guys!
PS I prefer people who actually tried it. My dad is battling lymphoma and i want to make him a gift so we can always skype. Thanks.
no, you will end up cracking the screen or hinge. 300 is a good amount thicker so the fit would be too tight. only use matching docks. why risk it breaking and voiding warranty because you used the wrong dock. each tablet has its own particular dock, therefore, they have to match up. if Asus wanted people using different docks on different tabs, they would've just made a universal dock instead.
im sure you could shove or force the 300 in there but no guarantee everything would work and you will serious stress the glass of tablet and the hinge of dock. it wasn't made to accommodate a thicker tab.
more should chime in on it soon.
best wishes to your dad winning the battle.
p.s. now if it were vice versa, the prime would fit in 300 dock BUT it would very loose fit n be wobbly. possibly stressing the dock connector & more.
Yes, it works. The tablet gets in the dock a bit tight, but you can do it without too much force. But it's better to use proper dock, as demandarin said.
Here's a reputable source (Dutch tech website Tweakers.net): http://tweakers.net/reviews/2549/2/...fde-uiterlijk-en-indruk-een-broertje-van.html (includes pictures of the mixed/matched docks)
Click to collapse
And let me translate that for you because most of you can't read Dutch:
According to ASUS, it's not possible to swap out the docks of the different transformers, but in practice it appears to be possible. However, we don't recommend it because the tablets have a different thickness. The Prime tablet has too much slack space in the 300T dock, and the 300T really has to be forced into the prime dock. Henceforth, we don't recommend doing this.

If you are looking for an extended battery I can recommend this one but it will make you phone a lot thicker.
If you just want to replace the OEM battery it's pretty inexpensive on Amazon.

This eBay item has $2.50 shipping to Europe and is supposed to be the OEM battery, which it looks like based on the part number and the markings on the back. There's no way to guaranty that but the seller has an almost 99% positive rating.
Based on this post, I would stay away from the Andida battery.
