angry birds only can only be seen on android 2.2 markets,but angry birds does work on 2.1 devices. you can download it from other sources other than the market,but of coarse i cannot link it.
EDIT: my bad i didnt check my market. im running stock with root access and i see angry birds in my 2.1 market. when angry birds beta was first released,it was only in the 2.2 market. found it on my hd2
I saw it in the Market after the OTA. And I don't have the silent/new Market yet.

Thanks as well, but has anyone noticed a difference? According to Titanium, my backed up version is 1.3.5 beta, the new one is 1.3.5 beta..
I guess all it's supposed to be is a bug fix anyway, but I'm not sure I'm getting any thing different than what I had already.

Cheers for the link. Its still not showing in the Market for me and the link that Rovio sent to my email, only contains the V1.3.5 beta and not the Beta 2 like they advertised.

I downloaded the apk from the email Rovio sent and I didn't notice much difference. There isn't any additional gameplay like the 'Full Version' unlocked for more levels or anything, and yes it does still show up as 1.3.5 but the new apk removed the Rovio screen in the beginning that was causing FC issues and loads straight into the Angry Birds splash screen. I haven't gotten too far into it because I just got off work but the only things I've noticed are minor bug fixes
I downloaded beta 2 from the email rovio sent me as well, version 1.3.5 I still get the rovio splash screen although. Played all levels, noticed a few bug fixes along the way with game play, no additional levels. Can't wait for the full version!

Please don't tell me how to use the forums, I've been here longer than you have. I searched for "Angry Birds beta 2" and nothing in this forum showed up or I would have used it.
So every time a 1.1 or 1.2 of a theme comes out you start a new one? No I didn't think so the op gets updated but What ever clog up the forums please.

i cant get it to work on any rom on eris.
Beta2 just closes. Beta1 worked fine.
I could not find angry birds in the market either but my friend who had an eris was able to download it. I had him email it to me. I tried to install it but I kept getting an error message saying the app did not install... I finally got it to work by downloading a program called "android central sideload wonder machine" on my laptop. All you need to do is connect your phone to the pc make sure usb debugging is enabled and then browse for the .apk and then click go. I was also able to find the app at: talkdroid.com or just google angry birds apk

i was able to find the angry birds apk that works with eris i believe its beta1
Just look up android angry birds and its like one of the first links on the page.
I really hope the full version works, supposed to be out this week. I've been through beta1 too many times.

I'm running beta2 just fine. Just used app brain with fast web installer to install it. KFC and Nonsensikal.
I had it working on KF v36, but it won't launch on Tainted Tenzo.

Installed fine on TazzFroyo and plays fine except some of the graphics doesn't show up.
How did you install it?
Installed fine through adb on xtrROM 4.6. There is a little whiteout effect with the graphics that i dont think can be fixed. However, after I flashed Conaps new CFS update, tweekt some shiz and ran it straight from the system/app folder, I was dive bombin' pigs with no bog no lag no FC in no time. Even the later levels.
According to my favourite tech news site, Engadget, it said that we are getting a new Market. I want to know if it will be going to our beloved Eris. I have Tazz Vanilla v23.

tried to update it manually, but said there was a problem parsing the object.
Search for unofficial market android and i think you will find a link to download the new market.

Here is a link to the one I am messing with. I got it here on XDA, but couldn't find the thread again. I think it was in the Desire forums, so there might be resolution conflicts. I pushed and replaced the Vending.apk in /system/app and rebooted. The first time I launched the new market it seemed to be running fine, then it forced closed when I tried installing an app. Now it force closes as soon as I try to open the Market. I tried clearing data/cache for the market and that doesn't seem to help.

It seemed to be quite snappy until it suddenly force-closed. Once it force-closes, it will not run again until you reboot.

Missing Apps from Market 2.2.6. Is it because of my Rom? Using rooted odex froyo rom. With OCLF. Apps like TMZ, Homerun Battle 3D Full Version and E! Online are not showing up at all in the market place. Any ideas? Thanks a million!

Yep, it's the Froyo ROM. You can run one of the Market fixes and that should clear it up, or in my case, I usually just give it a couple days and the apps appear on their own.

Anyone that's running MIUI notice that many apps aren't compatible? I'm trying to download a few today but none are showing up in my market. If I switch back to unNamed, they all show up...
Since I still have my Captivate connected to my Google account, I can just buy it to that and it'll be on my account whenever I switch roms correct?

yes you can buy with your captivate and you can put it on any device you own that is connected to the same account, out of curiosity what app are you not able to see using miui? i would like to see if i am having the same issue

I'm on Galnet too.
I can't see Backstab and Simcity today. Earlier this week I couldn't see Asphalt 6. Basically, EA and Gameloft games. Guess I'll get them on the website to my Captivate.
With unNamed I could see them fine.

Did you edit your build.prop? Check the dpi setting, manufacturer, and product settings and match them up to what it's in Unnamed.
I think it's just that our phones aren't compatible and won't work well with the games. I got backbreaker on the amazon app store and there were graphical glitches. but then again, if I remember correctly, asphalt 6 was available for free on the samsung appstore which means it should work...

Our phones can play games fine.
Anytime you use a custom ROM or even the (un)official leaked ROM, your market access will be restricted, mostly on paid apps but sometime even the free apps. Google maintains a list of officially sanctioned phones and their build numbers.

I had a few games that weren't quite perfect, like backstab HD (super laggy) and backbreaker (the stadium was a blob of grey)

I'm on task650 rom. I got need for speed shift the other day. It won't let me open or play. Says device is not supported. Which is weird, I thought or device can play anything.

Fyi sim city is a tablet app, hence why you don't see it in the market

I have no problems with unNamed but with miui I can't see any gameloft games.
Works fine for me. Only thing that I cant run on miui is betterbatterystats
