ok out of no where my phone is force closing everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1. it was fine last night it died last night so i charged it this morning soon as i turn it on everything is force closing!
you've done absolutely nothing to it at all? it's bone stock?
Visit Android Central's forum section for the Fascinate and go to the roms/hacks section there is a sticky on "How to escape force close loop hell" I would post a link but being a new member it isn't allowed.
Have you booted into recovery then advanced then fix permissions? That might do the trick....

when i hit fix permissions in rom manager or cwm recovery it doesnt do anything on froyo.. is there a reason behind this?
Its a leak so most likely a bug that will be fixed soon or when official froyo comes out

My buddy runs it on his Droid running 2.2 all the time. I wonder what it would take to get it back on the Vibrant.
I emailed the Dev a month or longer and well never got a response.

I have been playing it on and off over the last day and have had no problems. i do not have chainfire installed as it was causing my phone to lock up randomly last week. and it still runs fine.

Uninstall it, and make sure you get it from the amazon appstore. It wont work from someone's 3rd party apk.
only problem is i can't use it from amazon because i have no credit card i have my paypal account but it doesn't accept it in no way do i support 3rd party distribution but i thought since i had no amazon account i would do it that way so i tried fakenamegenerator.com just for fake info for amazon but it says doesn't support the region even though i use a us account and fake credit card

Ever since my Captivate I've been using my phone to shoot video quite a bit.
When I flashed CM7 onto the Cappy when I would record video it would jump around, backwards, and just mess up entirely. I couldn't see it happen when I was recording. Only on playback. So I flashed stock 2.2 and left it.
I now have the SGSII, so again I try CM7. The camera is performing MUCH better. But still has a slight jump every now and then.
Is this normal?
Also, how would I go about installing a different camera app? I tried a few different ways. Adb and Root explorer to install a "modded camera" to no success. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Seemed to be the proper place as it has to do with CM7 and its development.

Hello XDA Forum community. I am having a major malfunction with my phone. Its a samsung Galaxy S Fascinate phone, And Im currently rooted and rom'd with

But its been acting up alot and I don't like it at all. So im going to be going back to stock with
DL09.tar
Can anyone suggest a new set-up for my phone So I can get this working properly?

Dl09 is OLD.
EH03 is what you want to go to stock
Superclean3 or Geewiz if you want to stay close to stock gingerbread.
But I'd recommend ics aokp glitched m5. Its pretty much the best that the fascinate can run and ever has run.

Already did And updated the gapps to 429 and used the latest build35. Build 35 has pink unicorn which so far has great performance. No big diff from milestone5 so far. Still no screen capture option, but im looking into it. Gonna test the GPS later on. That was still causing me some issues
Should be able to go into rom control, power menu, and add screenshot option to the power menu there.

Figured out the screenshot function like you said. Holding down thepower button makes it take 1. Now my only issue is the GPS. Won't connect.
Noticed something else. Build35 doesn't have a music player or YouTube.

Music player isn't included as most people have a specific preference, so it's bring your own. YouTube you can get easily enough from the market. Besides that's gapps and not rom related.

Gotcha Anywho still having connectivity issues with GPS? the icon is suppose to be flashing when searching for a signal inside the circle, but its not. I have everything enabled. So im unsure whats going on at this point :/
Go through the maps shortcut forbl navigation. Occasionally you may have to launch it a few times before it seeks a GPS signal. For the first lock try to do it outdoors and be patient. First lock may take a long time.

Well I left it plugged in for a few hours yesterday and it did start blinking in the signal icon at the top, but it didnt start the GPS at all. I left it on the charge so it wouldnt die and still nothing. I'll keep trying though

im guessing its a hardware issue...my gps locks instantly with 5ft accuracy indoors.

Anybody else having their phone restart randomly while using Maps after todays update to version 6.10??
I specifically get a hard restart about 10 seconds or so after trying to use Latitude, and occasionally (randomly) while using My Places or Local or the Location Settings menu.

So it wasn't just me? Yeah I haven't had a hard reset ever on a sense 3.x Rom but it happened to me today

Doesn't have any problems on my nexus.
I know this is the Rezound forum but I figured I'd throw that in
my wife's phone completely stock no root did that today. I am at a loss to help her she cant do much without root "wont let me root it she thinks its the devil". She was able to wipe data from maps and restart but it still continues to hard reset.

No problems whatsoever on EOS3 Jelly Bean (which is AOSP), nor on my Motoactv running Gingerbread with some motoblur bits (not AOSP).
update--Un installed the update reinstalled the update my wife's phone has stopped rebooting. It wasn't all bad she let me root, s-off now she is on venom and loves it plus she has a nandroid now ha who would have thought? google how you work in mysterious ways

I've had problems as well, running Adrenaline 2.0 on the latest RUU. Anytime I try to use Navigation, I have about 10 seconds before (based on the speed) a hot reboot occurs.

I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling on stock root rom and it still reboots :/
i asked this in a thread that is in general but ill ask it here.
can someone send me a logcat of reboot? i ran my map all day yesterday and no problems. even used navigation.
