Here's the Mobile AP Thread link:

I installed the version for JFD when I was running JFD and it worked flawlessly. I've since updated to JI6 via the official ROM and ODIN and updated the Mobile AP to the JI6 version. The software runs and I can see the wireless network, can connect but cannot obtain an IP address.
Has anyone else had and fixed this problem?
Thanks!
*edit* Never mind, reinstalling seems to have fixed the issue...

I had a JI6 Vibrant and needed to network unlock it, I did the nv_data.bin modification and put my own network unlock code.
I went back from JI6 to stock JFD and was running the phone on AT&T network. I Have been using Macnut since version 5 and have been using v12 since the day it came out. Yesterday I upgraded to V13 and all was great, I went in to market and downloaded all of my apps, set up my contacts ..... I then enabled the 850 band and rebooted the phone and that is when I lost network connectivity.
with Macnut V13 I have been unable to get on the network, I go into about phone and it is unable to determine the baseband. I try flashing one of the modem files with odin and it does not work.
Used clockwork to revert back to R12 (clean install and also tried restore backup) and no dice.
I then flashed stock JFD using odin and I had network connectivity again, so I tried Macnut V12 again but once I did that baseband not identified and no network connectivity.
I reflash JFD using odin and my phone worked again, so I tried the JK2 odin rom from Eugene but that did not work, no network connectivity and cannot identify baseband
I reflashed the new JK6 release and again same issue, no network connectivity.
I am currently running stock JFD, can anybody help please? after about a month on Froyo JFD is slow as ....
I searched and most of the unknown baseband threads do not have solutions, and the ones that suggested removing the sim card/sd card/ usb and rebooting multiple times has not worked for me.
I really hate being stuck at JFD
Thread moved to Q&A.
Anybody?? It seems a few people have the problem but nobody has a solution
I have a similar problem. I deleted my nv_data.bin stuff on accident and one thing led to another. Now I can't connect to any service at all and my baseband says unknown. I've been trying to flash it with all different kinds of roms and finally got my baseband to say something but I still can't connect to anything.
No luck Still got Unknown Of Everything
Hi if somebody can help i have a similar problem got UNK baseband, phone, Network, service, try the nv_data.bin fix, no luck, try odin back to stock, no luck, the phone works on wifi perfectly and every thing else works exep cell functions, on mobile says "no simcard found" any help would be greatly appreciated..
I went back from Cm7 to JFD stock rom and flash Simply Honey now my mobile can't recorgnize my Sim card. I checked and saw a problem "Baseband version : unknown". *#06# show NULL/NULL.
Anyone know how to fix it, please help me ??
Thanks
I had the same problem with Simply Honey -- simply didn't recognize the sim card. No other rom I installed ever did that.
I was running Eugene's R13 with stock kernel and JK6 modem and all was working fine for the past couple days. Tonight I turned on my wifi at home to download a program off gameloft and when i turned off WiFi to switch back to data, the data signal never came back. I checked the settings and data was enabled. I tried everything to get it back and nothing works. I restored my nandroid back to Samsung out of the box stock and did a factory reset and no data still. I then installed a bionix rom that worked well in the past, nothing. I installed the new Onyx 4.2 and flashed the new JK6 modem and that didnt work. I reflashed Euegene's R13 and that still no go.
Any ideas??
You sound like you are having the same issue as me, I was runing macnut r12, worked great. I upgraded to r13 and it was runing well until I rebooted the phone, then I had no cell network connectivity. I odined stock JFD and phone worked, I reflashed r12 and no dice, I went back to jfd it worked again. I flasged a cw jk6 and an odin jk6 and several modem fles and no dice. I am currently stuck at jfd. If you go in to about phone does it have unknown baseband? I have that now unless I am runing stock jfd
In the same boat here. Please help!
It's actually worse for me. I can't even make phone calls.
Use Odin to go back to JFD, you will be able to make calls / data. Unfortunatley I am stuck at JFD at the moment because no mater what I flash other than JFD, I have the unknown baseband issue. I tried Odin JK2 and JK6 also clockwork Macnut 12,13,JK6 roms, JK2 roms. I also tried using Odin to flash JK2,JK6,JFD baseband and no luck
I have searched all over for an answer to this problem but have not been able to find a solution that works...
I am currently on MIUI 1.7.29 on Verizon Fascinate and whenever I try to connect to my home WiFi, it gets stuck at "Obtaining IP address..." I have tried to odin back to ED05 4 times with a full dalvik/cache wipe and then MIUI flash in CWM 4 and I always get the same problem. The WiFi works fine after an odin back to ED05 and also DL09 stock. But as soon as I try to flash a MIUI rom over top (have tried 1.7.22 and 1.7.29), the WiFi becomes broken.
I also had the same issue when I previously tried out CM7. Also, I have tried FXR WiFi fix and rescue but it has never been able to fix it.
Any suggestions? Greatly appreciated!
It could be an issue with the iptable in the kernel. Try a different kernel and see.

I had this same issue & changing the kernel fixed it.
I just loaded the IP info(static) manually and it works.
They're both rooted and kerneled using the 415.
The kernel from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010102
Second from the bottom of his list.
Then the Frankenclean build 2.8.
Both phones are running that kernel and that rom, but only one can use barnacle wifi tether, the one running ED05 cannot tether.
Barnacle keeps error on (Wifi: Couldn ot set ad-hoc mode of eth0: invalid argument)
How can I flash ED05 to EA28 or is that the issue with barnacle at all? I've gone over all the settings and re-flashed Frankenclean AND the rom using CWM and no dice. The only software difference between the phones is the baseband version.
I've been searching for almost an hour now and haven't come up with a way to Odin from ED05 to EA28, nor have I found a solution to barnacle.
I've tried the 'old' tether app and it doesn't work either, it encounters the same error "cannot set ad-hoc network".
So why is it that both phones are running the same software one can tether and the other cannot? What could cause this?
I really need some help!
*update*
Ok, tried installing a backup\restore from the phone that CAN tether on the phone that can't. Same issue :can't set ad-hoc argument invalid:. So I've narrowed the issue down to the baseband version.
I need a way to go from ED05 to EA28, or can I use the ED09 to EA28 files without bricking the phone?
Yes This has all you need...
Basically you Odin your modem to DL09
Then using CWM flash from DL09 to your desired endpoint
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1097355&highlight=stoclk+modem
I have used this a number of times
This will get you to EA28
^ Thank you, I just wanted to reassurance that I COULD jump from ED05 to ED09 then to EA28 without having an issue from 05 to 09.
Hi guys, I just flashed my p7500 to cm10.1 and everything went pretty smoothly. But now I can't get an internet connection via 3G or wifi, and my tab's bluetooth doesn't seem to be able to pick up anything either. I've tried wiping data, cache and dalvik cache, fixing permission, flashing my bootloader and modem, etc. but nothing seems to be working.
It says Mobile Network State "disconnected" and MDN "unknown". I think I have to flash my modem with the correct file as the one provided by droidbasement isn't working properly on mine.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thank you.

Did you flash the nightly? What build are you running? Bluetooth was fixed. Check out the nightly discussion thread, I posted that you should be using the modem on droidbasement for best results. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2074202
Hi, thanks for the response.
I was running the 01012013 nightly but as of now I'm running the 02012013 one with the modem.bin file from pershoot's website.
I just can't get an internet connection for some reason. I even flashed it with the 4.0.4 stock ROM and still can't get my internet back. I think it's because I accidentally flashed my modem with a modem.tar file in Odin under the PDA tab instead of the modem.bin file under the phone tab. Is there a way I can fix this?
Thanks again.

So when you flashed the stock ROM, did you ODIN flash or use a CWM zip? Did the modem.tar contain the modem.bin? As far as I know, the tar should have worked but I have a wifi only so I have not flashed modems. Try using Mobile ODIN and see if that helps.
Hi NakedNinja42,
I used odin to flash back to the stock rom, was I supposed to use CWM?
After I flashed it back to the stock rom, I then flashed to the 02/01/2013 nightly, now my bluetooth and wifi are working again, but my 3G is still not connecting. I'm also having trouble getting my PC to recognize my tab as a storage device, but strangely Odin still works.
Again, thanks for helping, I really appreciate it.
Problem solved. Flashed it back to Honeycomb 3.2 and now 3G is back.
