I was on a stock vibrant that was rooted with one click lag fix (I unrooted before updating) and after the update finished and the phone rebooted it was stuck at the vibrant screen. I've done everything in recover from wiping to reinstalling packages. Nothing works. I'm on a mac so I don't have ODIN but if I absolutely need it I can use a PC for it. I really just need someone to walk me through using ODIN to get it working.
Hopefully this a lesson well learned. Whenever you flash something new, always make a nandroid backup.
Anyway,to ODIN back to stock you need to first download ODIN and the stock firmware.
This can be downloaded @ : http://tinyurl.com/2bc5b6r
Then put your phone into download mode by:
1.pull the battery out of the phone.
2.plug usb into computer
3.put the battery back in the phone
4.hold in the volume up and down
5.plug usb in to phone
then open up ODIN on your computer and follow the following steps:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
And you should be good to go.
I pulled all of this from this thread, and made it a bit more concise: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799105
But yeah, make sure to make those backups!
thanks man! I'll do this tomorrow after school.
I have always made nandroids on my nexus but on here I was stock so I couldn't. Anyway, thanks a ton. I'll let you know if I run into any problems.
It worked and I'm back to the original 2.1 update 1. Do you think I can use the official JI6 ODIN update from this point and update it to that?
Don't even... Just go with the bionix ROM. It is a JI6 build... Much better than stock.
roponsup two
Same thing happened to me but my phone is not being recognized by odin.

Hello, all.
Well .. I don´t know where to start, but I know that I am very sad. Last Saturday, I went first use ODIN to return the original version of Android on my gadget. Apparently, everything went according to the tutorials forum and XDA initially ODIN began updating.
I don´t know why, at the first stage of the upgrade, the Vibrant display stayed with color pink and stopped updating. I waited for about 30 minutes and nothing changed Vibrant and not restarted.
I decided to restart it manually and got the screen below.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
From that moment on my computer (Windows 7) did not recognize the more Vibrant via USB. Likewise, I can not leave it in download mode (I've tried everything). It is as if the USB does not recognize anything...
I ask the more experienced here: You can still retrieve it? I'm in Brazil and apparently they will not support this case, even though I pay for it.
Please can you help me?
Sure.
I got the same problem with U. The same screen, can't enter the download mode. Is there anybody know how to solve this problem>? One more question, can T-mobile repair that?
Same Here
I got the same screen when I tried to flash back to stock from eugene373's froyo rom. Any help for us noobs would be really appreciated.
Any one have this problem pm me im sure I can walk u thru this
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Yeah so I had some terrible luck today. I was flashing a stock rom with odin, and then my USB cable attached to my player got caught on something, thus causing my phone to fly in the air and the battery to fall out. Basically, bottom line is that my battery was removed while flashing something in Odin.
Now every time I turn my player on I get a picture of a cell phone on the left, attached to a computer on the right with a giant caution sign in between them. I can't seem to boot into recovery or download mode. Odin doesn't seem to recognize my player either. I'm worried my player is bricked for good, but if anyone could help me prove otherwise, that would be amazing. Thank you.
Edit: The symbol looks like this:

Thanks for the response. It turns out Odin wasn't recognizing my device because my USB cable wasn't plugged in all the way (genius, I know).
I flashed the stock tar though, and now I'm getting a bootloop. And yes, I made sure not to re-partition.
This is the stock package I used: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=41424020&postcount=384
Never mind. I got it! Thanks for the help, simple as it was.
Hey guys, how are you?
I will try to explain what suceed to me yesterday...
My wifey Blu Dash 5.0 was on KitKat original rom, and since she doesn't liked it I tried to restore to a 4.2.2 backup. First thing I did was root it using VRoot. Using Mtk Droid Tools I did a rom and IMEI backup. So far so good...
Next thing I did was trying to install a custom recovery to be able to flash 4.2.2 rom. And here started the cause of all of my problems! At first I noticed every recovery I flashed wasn't compatible with KK. After flashing, when I tried to boot in recovery I always ended with a black screen and the phone booting normally after a few seconds. At this point I was becoming a little concerned about this, but it's ok... I had my phone backup. What could go wrong? My mistake. When I tried to download my backup back to the phone using SP Flash Tool v5.13 I received an error message like the one in the picture above and the phone didn't powered on anymore. When connected to the charger battery indicator didn't showed anymore...

I've tried every button sequence I heard about while powering on the phone but nothing actually works. Already tried to remove all the MTK drivers using usddeview and reinstalling again but at this point I'm not sure drivers are being installed correctly.
There is any way to unbrick this? Anything I should try? USB jig maybe?
Any good soul could help me, please?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english
Try my thread to see if that helps if not I will see what I can do to help.

The pics are too small to see, but the last post I read about this type of problem was internal memory failing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-verizon/help/sudden-death-syndrome-t3282788
So was it a standard boot, or did you do some modding first?
Full size pic, btw I was on root66 initially but one day i was
-->trying Adam Outler Jailbreak to unlock my bootloader and my phone was --> dead,after few months I tried to wake it,it started in download mode and also went in to recovery,I immediately Odin to stock out of happiness but alas nothing happened but this.
I tried to
-->ODIN Root66 stock VRALJB 4.1.1 12/2/12- ,voila,it
-->FAILED and I switched on the phone it was stuck in boot,
-->then I ODIN Official VRALJB 4.1.1 but it
-->failed at sboot.bin
and then Finally I tried to
-->ODIN Official VRAMC3 4.1.2 5/5/1 and it
-->PASS but when I switched on nothing happened,it's stuck in this situation. Bootlooped.
Then I went to recovery to factory reset but saw this.No such file exists etc etc.
(
Please help.

I am thinking of trying this. Is that a good idea?
Good Idea, I would try and odin back to life as a last resort too.
Looks like the download links are all dead?
Might be able to find some files here. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=developers&did=77

Try to repeat the procedure, sometimes it might happen that odin get stuk, restart odin and get back to the download screen on your phone, you should be able to try again. If it keeps happening it might be that is the wrong version for your phone, I would suggest searching the original firmware on SamMobile and use odin to install that back.
Hopefully this helps, I'm no expert, just run into similar problems recently
