Return to ver. 1.85; get the task asst., the editor and the CHT cab. It is stable, sleek, and works exactly the way he designed.
Kitchen time will see this stable and refined. These guys dazzle

tyy, very new to the hd2 fam, so learning new things about it all the time is lovely

what this the best rom for the moment

hi
i have 2 question please
1-what is the best rom for the moment and how i can choise one
2- why prophet did not have a radio FM like some other phone and can i install it on my prophet (S200)
thanks very much
I'm no expert - I just did my first rom upgrade yesterday, but the prophet touch VII ROM is the most recent release on here, and it worked great for me. Just follow the installation guide linked to at the top of the page, then at step 5 or so, grab the 'step 2' file (only) from the app page to get the upgrade.bat file. It's really quite easy! The instructions are easy to follow if you look at the read me files and read the instructions on the DOS prompts.
The Prophet doesn't have an FM radio chip built in and there's no way to add it in, but you may be able to find an accessory with FM radio.
As concerning most recent, I think Transformer 1.0 actually came 2 hours later, so that wins out.
And I think it is the Transformer.

Heh. I think that's considered a parallel release - actually, according to the iiiox on the transformer thread "VO8en (18508), Prophet Touch V7 (18125), Crystal V1 (18125) and PDAViet Transformer V1(17944) are all released on the same day!"
So chances are any of those ROMS would be good - guess it comes down to personal preference
edit: actually Transformer does look very good - I'm going to give it a shot.
I would say , Crystal V2 5.2.1908 Build: 18508.0.7.0

Hi there,
I think for WM6, there is no best ROM since each ROM has own advantages and bugs.
For the best ROM is the original ROM from the provider, of course it is WM5 ROM.
From my Experiences :
1. THe best ROM for Battery life : PDAVIET 4.0.0.0.5b
2. The fastes ROM : Evo8en
3. The stable ROM : Crystal V1
4. THe great application ROM : Gullum Prophet VII
5. The Lite ROM : TNT5
you can choose one of them as your requirement.
Thanks
Best rom?
I did tried at the beginning:-
Fantastic B4,
then EVO6,
then PDAviet 4006,
then EVO7,
then prophet VI,
then EVO7.1,
then Transformer 1,
then EVO8test,
then Crystal V1,
then EVO8en,
then Prophet VII,
then EVO8en.....
NOW testing TNT5 with Omap-264 MHz....... not bad so far.... (20070920)
well, all nice, with spectacular numbers of outstanding, but, personally I love Youzii ( EVO series) more.. ^_^, I did measure on performance in efficiency, stability, battery drainage status, ram counts, appearance and chef's heart! ^_^
I tried Transformer and Prophet Touch VII, and both are good ROMs, i use gullums VII, because i found it a little more stable and faster. But this question can´t really get one answer...all newer ROMs are good and have options, which can be attractive for one user, and another won´t like them.
Some like the cube and touch flo, others want to have more free space.
Very good are the integrated prophet drivers in the newer roms of pdaviet and gullum, because some bugs of the earlier versions were solved.
I am not the opinion that the original files are the best ones. The wm6-ROMs runs faster, with gullum functioned the automatic configuration for my net outstanding.
The O2 Rome on my XDA Neo was ponderous and had also errors...and wm5 from MS is buggy as wm6, not all is a problem of gullum or pdaviet.
hahaaah...
good luck finding the answer! try them all and make your choice. personally, I like cloudyfa's roms. good mix of built in apps and stability without many bugs.
I'm running transformer now.
I liked TNT5 professional so much, it contains a lot of stuffs that realy will not let you search for more add on applications, it is stable also, and the most important for me is the smart dialler one that is showing the last dialled numbers on top of search results, it is so productive and let me reach my wanted persond so quickly rather than any other diallers. This dialler that pushed me to upgrade from Gullum touch flo VII to TNT.
tahnks for all reply but what about Radio FM and can any body integreted it in some rom
Prophet doesn't have the hardware for FM Radio. go buy a walkman if you need to listen to radio.
good idea
thanks for remember me

when will it be released?
I'm testing the TNT5 at the moment after GULLUM VII and TRANSFORMER and CRISTAL V1.
TNT5 is the best at the moment, because of the speed, the applications, the car charging, the internet navigation. Maybe the battery drain is a little bit more than the other, but I'm not sure yet.
My personal opinion goes to the Transformer 1.0 rom.. it has everything i need .. It is actually the only rom i know where the danish T9 library is included ! And danish is also in the network wizard.. I only had two bugs.. The clock not showing in tittle bar, and wlm didn't show contacts after first logon, but those are both fixed.. For me this is THE rom.. And i don't think i would change anymore..

Vote for Collaboration between our great chefs

Would be really interesting if:
1.Bikertibi to provide us with his latest wm6.5.1 build with his personal black themes..
2.Wapvirus to apply his latest touchflo 3d (new look with the weather on today) features..
3.Gullum to fix the HTC Album to play video..
4.Babak to apply his amazing performance tweaks..
I noticed from Bikertibi's screenshots of his upcoming 23071 SP2 that he including Finger keyboard (my personal fave because of its amazing editing features and customization abilities).. looking forward to his 23075 release.. Thats great!
Wapvirus prefers wm6.1 at this moment in time though and its understandable because it does run better on our Prophets.. I noticed he posted a fix to his Touchflo 3d clock issue.. The new manila is breathtaking! That's Awesome!!
I know gullum doesnt cook for htc prophet anymore.. but he once made a rom with HTC Album that played video.. I haven't seen anyone else fix it although wapvirus is working on it.. good luck wapvirus..
But what is really interesting in Babak's 23064 OC2 is the automatic loading and unloading of the large camera drivers which will really boost ram.. plus his full utilisation of the extended rom by windows files to boost storage space for programs to be installed in main storage.. amongst other optimizations.. That's amazing!!!
If anyone else likes this idea please vote.. maybe our genius chefs might consider collaborating if enough people like the idea.
What do our chefs think? To our other great chefs out there please forgive me if i have not included you.. I respect all your work
I may be mistaken but I think Dioxda2 brought us the camera driver unloader..
And Varanusvincent always makes very nice stable roms with outstanding graphics..
Please forgive me if i've not mentioned anyone else..
To all our rom cookers out there.. lets make something amazing.. so please if you have further ideas please feel free to post.. I know everyone has different tastes in their roms but lets take a chance and bring together the best we have to offer!
my dream team is:
Dioxda2
Wapvirus
VaranusVincent
Bikertibi
Babak0000000
...
I'm looking for wm 6.5 20755 supermarket edition optimized with the incredible Bulk artwork DDD
Paolone
My dream Team would be as follows in alphabetical order
Cloudyfa
Dioxda2
Gullem
l3v5y
Maxniper
Varanusvincent
In Reserve If Building 6.5
Bikertibi
babak00000
And the company that I have ordered my refurbished prophet from make a big mistake and send me a refurbished Kaiser instead

..are you still getting a prophet or have we lost you dear friend?
Also.. you mentioned who you'd like to team up with.. so what idea would you put forward and what would each chef bring to the table? I dont think my idea of manila and wm6.5 is taking with the community.. lets hear other options.. and other chefs please say something also.. thnx

Ok this is going well
All my working Manila and htc packages
I think 6.5 will not work that well with manila. it would probably lag like hell.
What we need right now is a 6.5 rom that can work as fast and as stable as a 6.1 rom. But that seems so hard to achieved, considering the aged hardware of prophet. :V

The lasts WM6.5 are much faster than 6.1 and have optimized memory. HTC seal already devices with wm6.5 and manilla. The only problem is the memory size of our prophet. WM6.5 ROMs have 2-3Mb less compared with WM6.1. The WM6.5 sealed by HTC look like COM2 - 21870..., the WM6.1 look....

bikertibi is quit right.
See the Benchmarks:
Benchmarks in wikii
(Add more information if you can, to help others. Use this light SKTool to make benchmarks on your device.)
There is just RAM size, which could be nearly resolved by some tricks Pagepool, camera drivers, etc.).
Anyway the speed and the new look in today and menues is great in WM6.5, and I don't think ever to return to WM<6.5.

Problem is between 6.5 and new Manila there would be very little RAM to spare so i think no one is interested, 6.1 last official build is 21054 so that's at an end sadly but 6.5 has many features and is starting to work well on our devices so prophet is not dead yet

I hear you wapvirus.. I know manila takes up ALOT of RAM.. but how much exactly? Im not sure.. please enlighten?
Im not aware of how much RAM wm6.5 takes exactly.. but I've seen and tried some 6.1 roms with manila that ran well with only 20MB RAM on a fresh boot..
If Babak00000 can achieve a 6.5 rom with as much as 29MB free RAM.. will manila take up more than 9MB RAM? is there no way to slim down manila by using less detailed graphics or by reducing amount of tabs?

Yes Manila can be optimized and i am working on that now also some tabs could be left out to save RAM just need a device then i can work on this optimizing Manila graphics won't save RAM but it improves performance, New Manila needs around 7mb with all Tabs this would end up with around 22mb free ram with Manila running on 6.5 similar to what i have achieved with 6.1
If no one else is interested i will still try to give this a go on my own but no promises as my kitchen needs work to work with the latest 6.5 versions

ok but wapvirus isnt this supposed to beca teamwork..
if all chefs agree on rhe idea then you should spread the work equally acording to your skills.
for now you are the best concidering manila
bikertibi is gonna give the newest rom and provide the themes amd keyboard.
babak00000 is gonna have to work with bikertibi on the rom
and about gullum.. im not sure if anyone has talked to him so we'll have to see

Hi SpooXter..
I started this thread with a simple idea.. I did not speak to any of the chefs before starting this thread and in hindsight perhaps I should of.. So if any of them choose to participate or not is their choice entirely.. So Gullum is most likely unaware of this thread but Wapvirus is working on a solution to the video problem in HTC Album.. Wapvirus is very good with manila and Bikertibi is brilliant with 6.5.. However Wapvirus has currently got a problem with his device and Bikertibi may be leaving xda for a while.. but whoever the chef(s) may be I think its the concept that should stand out..
And the concept is essentially a Well-Running 6.5 ROM with Manila that works even with video..
So even if these chefs are not available lets continue to vote in the poll above so as to see if there is enough people who would like to see such a ROM.. maybe someday some kind chef(s) will provide us with such a ROM.. If I had the skill I would gladly try and produce such a ROM myself but i dont so we'll havta just wait and see

What ROM do you use. With POLL!

So, what ROM do you use? Vote and discuss!
Finally...

EnergyROM Phoenix 2 ftw.
Energy ROM, its the best way to go. I used the Leo version for a bit but had to many stability issues with it. Phoenix 2 is great and the 23xx versions make the phone so much more finger friendly!

same reason here
There is not my rom
ROM I use not in list
I use the NATF Fuze v5.7S ROM.
can anyone offer their opinion to whether or not the Teal Sense is faster than Phoenix 2?
or should i wait until the Leo is complete? I've been running EnergyROMs since the 1.X days. i've tried a few others, but i really like the looks vs speed compromise of the EnergyROMs. I'm just looking for something a bit faster now, and i'm willing to have some of the aesthetics stripped away.
it seems that u are comparing the tael sense 2.5 version with sense 2.1 for phoenix
if that is the case, phoenix should be much more faster and better in stability
Tael ROM Sense Edition, I've tried EnergyROM Leo and have had nothing but stability issues, Tael ROM Sense Edition is amazing =)
Churning ROM as socks.
Now:EnergyRom Phoenix 2
1 day ago: EnergyRom Leo
3 days ago: Gen.Y TP2
5 days ago: TAEL ROM Sense
8 days ago: My own ROM
But now Im realy like Phoenix 2
Currently I'm using the EnergyROM LEO Sense 2.5 from February 7th. Up until that release I was using TAEL 3.23518 Sense Edition but it had too many display issues that required frequent reboots to fix. Before that, EnergyROM back to the 1.x series.

Nah, but it isn't so easy editing the poll when there is no poll editing option! D:
This sort of thread (with poll) will naturally get outdated and a new one can pop up regularly. So, with respect to the future I suggest you date the thread title with maybe 02/2010?
I might, or the mods/admins at XDA could make it possible to edit a poll..

[Q] What are the best GTX Rom for HD2, and android Friendly ?

all in the title !! thanks
honestly, this is hard to answer bcuz this is a matter of taste and preference.
only a handful of chefs who make gtx roms - so best advice is try them all out.
some use more programs, so you less. every chef has their own flavor and imprint in their rom.
everyone will vouch for their favorite gtx or rom in general, so just try them all. i guess just give 1-2 days per gtx rom to get a good feel. most chefs have screen shots of their rom.
I would recommend ChuckyROM & Bangsters [Android]

[Q] New ROM?

I currently have...
HTC HD2 using..
OS version 5.2.21916
Manila version 2.5.20191914.0
ROM version Dutty's HD2 family ROM (V7) WWE
ROM date 15/11/2010
Radio version 15.42.50.11U
and I'm reasonably happy - everything works.
Thing is - I keep thinking I should install one of the latest ROMs.
Question is - what have I got to gain??
Should I or shouldn't I?
What do you experts think?
Thanks in advance
Ian
PS I know this is a "how long is a piece of string question" but I think your responses may help me decide.

Use this one. It will fulfill your wildest dreams on your HTC-HD2. It's the best in my opinion
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
Stick with it if it all works fine for you.
I am sticking with WM6.5.3 NRG 23699 as works flawless for me & Android is not the best platform for everything & the UI is an ugly muddle compared to the customised perfection you can have with WM6.5
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Chasing latest ROMs & OS's can be fun but usually has issues that may not be acceptable pending on user device function requirements.
Although not been using my HD2 for the last two months after getting the Galaxy Note, however on my HD2 I have been using the very light ROM called CLEANEX RV for the last one year or so,and should say was very satisfied, very stable and fast never hung on me even foronce, one advantage is that it starts with over 280 Mb of free internal space, the only thing that I have done is to install couple of missing apps like the Market.
Its interesting that after using my GNote for two months now I can say that the only advantage it has over the HD2 are the applications graphical quality their abundance and screen size, believe me or not but I had applications on my HD2 which are more efficient than Android or IOS.!!
Sorry for straying away from the subject but I think that its pity that Microsoft has abandoned such a great and mature OS dumping millions of loyal WM users in the result.
Jack.
