recommended android rom for general user? - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

ive tried a few android roms, but i never really found one i liked, so can anyone recommend me an android rom that has the following:
sense
fast and stable
fully working market palce (without having to play around with the SD card)
good and consistant signal for the UK (t-mobile)
good battery life
close to stock
other then that im not really that bothered what version the rom is (ive only seen 2.1 and 2.2 fod the HD2 anyway) or what handset it origionally came from. i know its still in developement stage so i might not be able to have everything i want. to be honest the most important stuff is sense and the market place! i plan to use it more as my main OS on my phone.
if it helps im running radio 2.15, with cleanex dse v6 rom, and plan to use a boot manager to select which os to run at startup

I would highly recommend this build.

I thought that build was fantastic...except that i had no luck getting the data to work consistently on TmoUS in Seattle.

I am using mattc froyo 1.8 over the shipped 3.15 versionn of windows and it is working awesome
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App

i would strongly recommend [BUILD](09.10.2010)New Customize (iphone, sense, galaxys) in one Build mccm SE 2.0/2.5 which is Base on MIUI Android build. Absolutely brilliant built... with:
Iphone.launcher-1 (Iphone iOS style)
LauncherPro (HTC Sense style)
Twlauncher-1 (Samsung Galaxy S style)
Camera and market place all functions are working well.... i have used it for 2 weeks. No bugs or freezes... just great to use it! This is the link, you will love it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=802194

You could also try the mattc 1.8 w/ sense. It's a little older but it works awesome.
Set it up with hastarins 7.4. You don't even have to use SetCPU to get a full day usage with your phone. In standby my phone lasts min. 1.5 days.
Cheers

I'm also a T-Mobile UK user and atm I'm using MdeeJay's HD 3.6 build with Hastarin 7.5 and aside from skipping music (which can be fixed with a simple edit with droid explorer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811248) and the fact that is it's a Desire HD build there's no working camera it's perfect in every way for me.
Market works 100%
Sense looks amazing on it
I never get worse than 2 bars and I barely even get that on WinMo in my town
As for close to stock, my gf has a desire and she can navigate my phone with ease. In fact she prefers my phone cos of the screen size (If a woman ever tells you size doesn't matter she's lying! )

thanks for that!! il have a look at each of the builds. having a camera is pretty essential, as i take a lot of pictures! ive seen some builds that have 2 camera apps, one at 3mp and one at 5mp. il just work my way down the list and let you know how i got on!

Try the build I'm using, I can honestly say its brilliant, haven't had a single issue with it yet and I've been using it for a while, give it a go, you will not regret it!

i was using the mattc froyo 1.8, but i still had issues with the market place. every item kept saying ither download unsucessful or install unsucessful. i tried unmounting and remounting the SD card and tried soft resets and turning the 3g off and on again and using the wifi but none of these made a difference. it sems in the last few days there has been a new version of the rom released (2.0) which has the htc 5mp camera app and some other bug fixes, so il try that, but this seems to be the most stable ive tried (although it takes a long time to boot!)
one thing i have always noticed in android is a very irratic signal. if i sit in the same place with my phone in the same position, it normally goes from 2 bars to full signal to 2 bars to no signal, then maybe 10 seconds later repeats this pattern. in winmo in the same place and position i get 4 bars (with the h symbol). ive tried a few different radio verisons (2.08, 2.11, 2.12) and im currently on 2.15. i cant see anything in the thread about a specific radio thats required but does anyone know if there is a radio that is better for android in terms of battery life and signal reliability?

[Q] Various questions after a week of using the HD2

Howdy!
A week ago I switched to this lovely device. I almost can't remember how I ever survived without it.. In any case, I'm very satisfied, as it's a huge upgrade from my previous SE X1.
Now, I've been heavily involved in the X1 modding community, so I know my way around WM. For the HD2 some things appear to be different, so I'd like some help!
FYI I'm using NRGZ's Energyroms; currently using the 18-08 build (winmo 6.5 with cookie hometab sense UI). Probably upgrading to 25-08 soon.
First of all, I'm trying to set one of the hardkeys to rotate the screen for me. For the X1 there was a specific app, doesn't work on the HD2. Thus, I tried the well-known AEB Plus. Alas, whenever I map a key with it, the app automatically maps every hardkey to that function (it got really funky when I tried to change my volume, my screen kept rotating like crazy).
So, which app/workaround best to use for the HD2?
Second, I'm noticing quite some battery drainage. I've flashed a different radio to ensure that Android would run properly as well (and it does, yaay!); but I'm not sure which ROM works best when it comes to battery life. I've been poking around the Radio ROM thread, but haven't yet found a conclusive answer. Did anyone do some testing? Any reliable results?
Finally, I'm noticing that movie files often still play a bit choppy. Now I know it's very much possible to run them completely smooth with the snapdragon's power. I've tried Projection's HD video encoder, but that came out even worse (or at least played worse, with both WM player and TCPMP). Which format works best for the HD2? Can you guys advise me a freeware converter?
I'm sorry for the long post, but thanks ever so much for taking the time to read this far. Cheers!
Hi there,
For the first question i have no clue havent tried that before
for Andriod i know tthat your ROM has to be 2.08.x or higher i used 2.10.50.26 wich worked pretty well. There are some new Android builds with less power drainage but still the consumption is a lil high
for the last part i havent found that out yet
Ok, in the energy rom press and hold the call key to rotate screen, as for battery drainage in android it a work in progress I use shubCRAFT latest build battery is quite good about 55 mins per hour in standby l. I use the 2.11 radio and energy cookie rom.
Don't know if it makes and difference but I put Wm in aeroplane mode and disable sencse before I boot android.
Get on the shubCRAFT forum and install his build its rapid and is almost perfect
Htc Hd2 vodafone UK
Can't remember what avi player I uses in Wm because I haven't been back for a week android is very very stable and puts Wm to shame. However rock player in android works perfectly for me. Get to shubCRAFT man also it has a busy and helpful forum
Htc Hd2 vodafone UK
Thanks for the answer, both of you.
I guess I'll try and upgrade to a later android build, see how it works. Could you give me a link to a good android build? The one you experience to be most solid?
As for the radio, I'll upgrade to the newest and give it a go, I guess the best way to find out is to simply try it.
The energy ROM thing doesn't work for me, I'll upgrade it to the latest. Thanks!

fastest droid eris rom that's most reliable?

currently on workshed --> gingerbread 2.9
wondering if going to ....
workshed --> froyoshed
tazzpatriot --> gingertaz
zach.xtr --> xtrom
zach.xtr --> xtrsense
Conap --> celeb
is 2.1 based roms or 2.2 or 2.3 the best? that would be the most reliable and fastest rom out there? about to flash root and flash a rom on a friends eris. i just got a droid 2 global from my buddy so i've been playing around with that and the eris on the side and trying to figure out what's best for my friend that would be fast and reliable. help please!
the xtr roms are very fast and very reliable
you could install a few roms and do backsup of them and show your friend how
to restore backs ups or show how to flash roms

the person is someone i work with and she is a girl. i'm looking to just flash it and forget about it honestly. she has like 10mb or less right now and isn't rooted and hates the phone cause it's slow. i know rooting the eris makes it like 5-10x faster since i played with my eris for months upon months but just trying to figure out what everyone else thinks is the fastest. at the end of the day if you move onto another phone that's the biggest fix but for now i'll just root her phone and hopefully she will be more satisfied.
yea id say one of the xtr roms would be good choice to flash and forget imo
I have xtrSENSE flashed on my girlfriend's Eris; she has seen every possible ROM on my Eris and still prefers the "simplicity and the Sense UI" of her ROM; as she calls it.
xtrSENSE is a stable, fast and reliable ROM; kind of like STOCK but with all the goodies... if you know what I mean.
I like to stick with any stock 2.2 ROM (iConap's CELB 4.4)
It has been stable for a long time and I get about a day and a half worth of battery (with 3G/GPS/Sync all on with moderate texting/few calls)
2.2 Froyo is better than 2.1 Eclair because..
-speed and performance optimizations
-USB thether and Wi-fi hotspot
Check the link for more info
http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.2-highlights.html
Don't get me wrong, I see a lot of love from xTrSense ROM and it is a fast/stable ROM all around
P.S.
Yes 2.3 Gingerbread is even better than 2.2 like better app and battery management & theme chooser BUT once CM7 Final is out and all ironed up I'll be moving onto that
Conap's CELB Froyo is amazingly stable and zippy as heck..
I have that running on my buddy's phone as well as my wife's.. absolutely a "flash and forget" ROM.
-Xith
FroShedYo's Final is my preferred daily rom, up-to-date, run as is with options for further customization/OC tuning, etc. and very good on battery. Nonsensikal's ROM coming in 2nd. on 2.2 OS for me - keep a Nand backup on the SD card while running FSY's ROM so it's a fairly bullet-proof setup - not the fastest, slickest or necessary best on battery run, but very close in all categories.
+1 as others said about various GB 2.3 ROMs floating here on XDA, several are close to perfection with more fine tuning & minor bugs resolved, would be great - none of them, I feel, are the "flash & forget, leave it" status yet for the non-geek users. The ASOP, plain/almost Vanila type GB ones like OMGB and Condemned V5 CM7 running fairly smooth overall. In general, 2.3 OS loaded on the Eris sometimes has issues with GPS, camera & MMS, etc. - known "bugs" noted by some users and being worked on & some felt it's hardware-built specific .... even for the Kaos/Tazz/Workshed ROMs.
Aside from rooting the phone, which I assumed most of us on here took as a given, is to flash the C2C as it will free up extra memory/storage space by moving it to the SD card - so proper preparation pre-flash (format/wipe, etc.) I use 3 different SD (16, 8 & a 4 GB) cards so that I can play with several ROMs while keeping my "working" primary ROM on the master and easily switch back & restore .... Running widgets & other settings also affect how smoothly a ROM run, as is battery calibration & conditioning, as I'm sure you know.
The Eris Froyo ROMs, as far as I know, all have issues with long-term GPS use, like navigation, where the GPS radio goes screwy after about 20 minutes or so. This was fixed in all of the GB ROMs, as far as I can tell (I have used Runkeeper to log a 3 hour run with GSB and it was perfect.)
That said, if you want fast, set and forget, no bugs, no "weirdness" (i.e., long-press menu to get the keyboard in order to press 1 or 2 when you dial *228 in the Froyo and GB ROMs; hold VolUp while you press Send to wake the screen when you are in a speakerphone or BT call and the display times out in the Froyo and GB ROMs) - IMHO you want xtrSENSE. I think that the GB and Froyo ROMs are worth a try, but I would also install, set up and Nandroid backup an xtrSENSE build just in case. The only thing that xtrSENSE is missing is the cool Google Voice Actions that comes with the Froyo and above Google search app.
I have never used xtrsense or rom, I did use kaos froyo and loved it. I am now on gingertazz and dont plan on changing to anything else. Its fast, stable, and has awesome battery life. Right now I am at 100% after 4 hrs granted I havent used it much but I am impressed. I say just keep trying different ones you will find the one that fits your phone best.
I've been using TaintedTenzo2.1 for a few weeks and I really like it. Its very stable, and fast I haven't had any issues with it. I've tried Gingerbread roms and they were great but just not for me.

If you are comparing to a D2, yes, it will always have lag. Try some other ROMs if you wish, but, in the end, you are running a phone with hardware that first came out two years ago - April 2009 for the Magic; June 2009 for the Hero. The only difference was Sense and more megapixels on the camera when the Hero was released; the Eris added the proximity sensor. Otherwise, it's the same phone.
i'm a big fan of xtr.sense myself, i love the sense ui and otherwise zippy overall. i've tried alot of roms and for a flash and forget i would highly recommend it
I agree... Flash and forget... xtrSense
Zachs work is stellar and super stable.
I tried GSB 2.8 on my wife's Eris but after adding Launcher Pro Plus so I could get the calendar widget and beautiful widgets to get the weather/clock back, it seemed quite a bit more sluggish than Zach's xtrSENSE 5.01. I'd like to see GSB as fast or faster, but it wasn't the case for me...
I also had some bugs in GSB but I'm sure there are fewer now. I'm going to try again after it moves to RLS2 and see...
Anyone experience different results in terms of performance?
Im running a 2.3 rom called GingerBreadShed 2.3.4 (CyanogenMod 7 Nightly) and love it so far, the customization is amazing. Theres so many options, i flashed it a couple hours ago and haven't even gotten my apps back yet because I'm so caught up in the features... but of course, i have a problem i should let you know of... Im trying to find a solution and if anyone knows let me know. I cannot use any widgets i download, only launcher pro widgets and a few default widgets. A lot of HTC widgets are even absent. I'm trying my best to figure out a way to use them and ill let you know it i do.

HTC widgets will only work with a ROM running the Sense launcher.
Agreed either zach's xtrSENSE5.0.1 or xtrROM5.0.1
Both excellent, fast, stable, and solid.

Coming from XTR Rom to a 2.2/2.3 rom?

Hi all,
I don't know if my eris is finicky or I just like XTR Rom/XTR Sense, but every 2.2 and up rom I've tried has been much slowed than any XTR rom I've used, BUT I want to use Google Music on my Eris (requiring 2.2 or higher).
So, if anyone can give me suggestions... I've been using GSB 3.4 with Launcher2 (after reading some threads), but it's much, much laggier, even with similar clock settings. I also used nonsensikal froyo awhile ago, but it loved lag and locking up.
tl,dr: looking for the fastest 2.2+ rom
Cheers
It might just be your phone. I also experience everything you have just said. I try other ROM's and do the same settings and everything and I fell that anything over 2.1 is laggier and I get terrible battery life. I always switch back to Xtr Senses. I know its probably not what you want to hear. I also love some of the newer features but it looks like we are the minority on this issue.

It's hard to say - I find that almost every ROM I run feels about the same speed as any other. That said, Launcher2 is not a fast launcher - you will be much better off with LauncherPro, LauncherPro Plus, ADW, or ADW EX.
If you read through the GSB thread you will see some recommendations for performance which may help. By default the max clock runs at 604 MHz, while xtrROM by deafault runs at 710, so you can try bumping up the max clock (settings->cyanogenmod settings->performance -> CPU settings). Also read up on the supercharger scripts; I suggest number 14 (for the bulletproof launcher).
Others, hopefully, will chime in with other suggestions.
Oh, and now that I think of it - AmazonMP3 seems to run very well on the xtr roms, if I am not mistaken. Buy a single album on Amazon's MP3 store and you get 20 GB of music storage for free. They have that new Lady Gaga album (not song) for 99 cents today; even if her music makes you gag, you get that 20 MB of storage for the next year for 99 cents. Not a terrible deal. Perhaps that will take you through until you can upgrade the Eris to a better phone later on, which will run Froyo/GB far better for you?
Yeah, except I will be running Google Music (2.2 and up only), so heading back to the 2.1 based XTR roms is not going to work... and my upgrade is in another year (cripes!).
What about Zeam launcher? Anyone have any luck with that?

Well, that's what I was getting at with Amazon. 20 GB of online storage and you can play music using the Amazon MP3 app from the online storage on the Eris. I know that Google music adds some not-very-good-yet pseudo-genius playlist feature, and 20,000 songs rather than 20 GB, but it's worth a try.

I have heard good things about it. It has to be better than Launcher2, and it's free to try.
Assuming you've fully reformat your SD card, wipe system data/cache/dalvik and delete the .android_secure folder while in Recovery mode with USB enabled before (re)flashing GSB V3.4 - mine is using LP 8.6 (upgraded from 8.5) using default 604/480 setting (or 710 max) but not running SuperCharger V6 scripts - only ATK - and everything is fine for me, including GPS, wifi, Android music player, and MMS, etc.
For equally fast GB rom, check out MacRoms and CM's varied GB ROMs (plus Tazz's) - if you do need/use GPS as they don't work on my hardware/configuration at the moment. All of the developers are busy trying to get it "right" with the latest CM release/patches & workaround - just a matter of time before we get to a "Final Release".
On Workshed's GSB V3.4 - I'm getting around 20 hours moderate usage on a full charge, wifi on mostly and sometimes with BT on for driving, and minimal widgets running - not the greatest but reasonable & to be expected with a 1500 mAH hour HTC battery. You might want to try Shed's FroShedYo 2.3.x ROM (it's a Final Release) as I was on that for a while, stable & reliable & quite speedy.
Good luck !
2.2 is and always has been a resource pig.
2.3 has promise, but still has bugs to work out.
The zepplinrox script has given my friend's Eris a new life, but so far GSB is the best thing I've worked with.
Tazz is working on Sense for GB, if I remember correctly. Still WAY early in the stages for that to be stable for daily use though.
good luck finding what you're looking for. Unfortunately, the Eris is only a v6 processor and there's only so far it can go.

Everybody is different, I guess. This has not been my experience, at all. Just as for example, I always get better battery life, all else being equal, compared with the xtr ROMs.
As far as I know, the only major issue with the Froyo ROMs is a bug in GPS/Navigation, where using an app that pulls GPS data for a long time gets confused data coordinates; the Navigation part of Google Maps stops working, for example. You can reset GPS if you do not do this all that often.

It would be helpful to list the bugs, rather than just say that there are bugs. I am running the latest version of GSB and everything seems to be working just fine for me (though I just installed it yesterday and have not tried Navigation yet.) I suppose that there are minor ones, but right now the xtr ROMs are being plagued with a major calendar bug. It has nothing to do with the xtr build, as far as I can tell - it is happening to people running stock as well - but most likely with the changes that Google made to the calendar to fix the data leak on public WiFi networks. But, basically your phone stops displaying events in your primary calendar. And I tend to have occasional issues with xtrSENSE/xtrROM (and stock) not sounding alarm events when they should, or automatically snoozing them (so they go off 5 minutes later) until the event starts.
Thanks everyone, I ended up flashing CELBFroyo (after flashing GSB, GTazz, OMGB, XTRrom/XTRsense, nonsensikal, and a few others) and sticking with it.

[Q] What is the best rom to put on a brand new 2.1 phone

Hi
I have a brand new Motorola Defy on T-Mobile UK still running 2.1. It is red lens. There is still no official update for it.
Whilst I am quite geeky, I prefer my phone to just work. So once I have upgraded it I don't plan to do so again for another 12-18 months unless there is a really good reason to update before hand.
So I am looking for a stable update, that will still be compatible with new apps in 12-18 months time. I want the updates for the following reasons: speed, battery life, as few bugs as possible, stability, any camera improvements and 720p video recording.
Yes it is a long list I figure an Android 2.3 is probably better than a 2.2 for future proofing. Last night I spent a few hour reading the wiki and information about lots of roms.
I am not looking for help in how to do anything as there are quite a lot of info on the threads about it. I would just like to know which is the best rom/s to install now, from experienced users.
Thanks Alex
The official update for T-Mobile UK android 2.2 (froyo) has been out for a couple of weeks now - it's on the Motorola Software Update site ready for download. There's also the retail version there that would have no operator logo etc.
I'm using CM7 on my UK Defy (green lens on mine as it's an early one) & find it be the best ROM I've used so far - much better than the stock eclair it came with & better than the froyo ROMS I flashed (used 2 leaked UK 2.2 & a Nordic 2.2).
I'd recommend CM7 as it's very stable for me - no random reboots or freezing like would happen from time to time on 2.1 & 2.2 when I had those.
CM7 is still in development but it's working fine for me but if started using it you may need to flash an upgrade every so often but this was quite easy for me & only took a few minutes.
MIUI is also out for the Defy - haven't used it myself so can't comment but it seems popular.
Thanks for the info.
Can anyone tell me how I can get this posted in the General section?
I have no idea how it got into the Themes and Apps section.
It might be on the motorola website but over an hour later I cannot get the installer to recognise an internet connection, so I will give up on this. CM7 doesn't yes support 720p recording so I will try something different.
if you want a customisable and pure speed ROM, it's CM7, but if you dont plan to tinker a lot, then MIUI is pretty good as it's already a pretty nice looking ROM, with a lot of iOS influence
Im so good at listening to advice I ignored it all and tried to install 2.3.4 from forum.xda-developers com/showthread.php?t=1135901.
Somehow I not get a flashing red moto logo, system restore and bootloader do nothing and the phone does not show up on my computer. At a bit of a loss what to do now!
Remove battery, and put it back.. While starting keep the vol up button pressed. It ll take u to moto bootloader state. Connect to pc with usb. Use rsdlite software to detect it.. Then flash with any full sbf of ur choice to give back life to ur defy...
Thanks for the info. It sounds so simple. Sadly after hours of trying this morning I still can't get the phone to turn on.
First of all: check if your phone has a green or red lens (the answer is here). If your phone has a green lens, sorry, but nothing can be done for it to record 720p videos (hardware limitation). But, if your Defy is brand-new, you'll probably get the red lensed one, because green lensed Defy are old and, AFAIK, not selling anymore.
If you want speed and stability, with 720p recording, I recommend you to install Barebones Froyo with Hancock's 720p mod (mod available here). For better compatibility, ROMs based on the leaked GBs are the best option, and there is also a patch for it to be able to record in 720p (even though I wasn't able to get this one working on my phone - but many people did and are satisfied with it).
For speed + stability + compatibility, CM7 is the one to go for. But it doesn't have 720p enabled yet (some nightlies do, but they're not stable, and even on these nightlies, 720p is not working for everyone).
MiUI is also stable - and beautiful - but not as fast as CM7. For CM7's speed with the looks of MiUI, check here for the Meizu theme.
First thing first... Flash back your phone with full sbf. I would recommend start flashing froyo 2.2.2 since you're from 2.1.
I assume your Defy is red lens as it is newly bought right.. Flash gingerbread 2.3.4 and patch it the 720p followed with installing lgcamera for video recorder. Lastly patch it multitouch to have more than 2 fingers touch. You can find these all in the developer section. Above poster already guided you how to go into bootloader, clean cache and installing rsdlite drivers. Take one step slowly...

Hmm... my Defy is a May 2011 model (taken from the serial number) brand new UK retail version from Amazon. Updated to 2.2.2 from the Moto site. Lens is clearly Green...
CM7, out of the question.
CM7... da best u can hav!
CM7 is really stable for defy!
Stock 2.2 GB rooted and overclocked is really nice.
Current custom roms break too much at the moment for me.
I need an infrastructure hot spot, stable wifi, gps that does not need agps to lock and working fm receiver.
I fancy a go with CM7 or miui, but I am going to wait a while for all the fixes to roll in. The devs need people to test and use these roms, but with over 2 million hits i think they have enough already
Ask yourself if you really need a custom rom yet?
I would recommend either a stock froyo rom or adlxmod froyo, as they are stable and won't require any real upkeep. Adlxmod can be updated directly from the phone itself and is hassle free.
CM7 is probably one of the best roms but has nightly updates almost everyday, which is great for people like me who want to be on the bleeding edge but not if you dont want to update.
Stock 2.2.2 GB retail via MSU has 1-2 random reboots/day marring its Kudos. Always when you really don't need it...
True, I forgot about that, I tried it for an hour and was amazed that the official was that bad. In that case nordic froyo is very stable and 2.3.4 motoginger is also very good too, just takes a bit longer to install though.

Really? Wow, mine has been rock solid with overclock to 1Ghz. My hero running MoDaCo and villain used to bork out all the time, but the defy has been up for 3 days now using gps, sms, email, wifi tether and web and not a single reboot or lock.
Running launcher pro with scale transition effect and it is very smooth and responsive - very pleased with it so far.
Sounds like I might be doing something wrong
I wonder if some folks hardware (mem and cpu) is a bit flaky? Might be interesting to see place and date of manufacturer of those units that are rebooting. Still does not explain why they can run CM7 well though.
Practically every rom has ran fine for me except 2.2.2 uk. I even used MSU and then re-did using rsdlite, both instances it was terrible. If I was a standard user and didn't experiment with different roms I probably would have been pissed you must be one of the lucky ones.

Best rom/s to date ?

In your experience what is the best rom to date?
Speed, battery life, data connection etc
i need a speedy rom with decent battery life and a good data connection for push notification and sync etc
Currently on Floyo 1.3.0
I have tried loads over the last few months and as an all round, fast, stable and fully operational rom I stuck with Bharat Goku's "DecKed up for life".
I keep reverting back to it and it has never let me down.
Its light to use, super fast and I've never yet had a Force Close for any reason.
Battery life is great.... easy 24 hours and nearly 48hrs if useage is moderate.
Thats running it overclocked as per my signature below.
It sync's no problem with my Win7 laptop and Wifi, Bluetooth and data are all fully functioning.
It is a Non Sense rom so if its Sense you want.... this is no good for you. If it must be Sense, try Rose V3.6 which I found to be the most stable and quick, even compared to the more recent v4 and v4.5.
All my opinion and no doubt others will swear that Floyo or Cronos Ginger or whatever is quicker...... but for me.... I want to run an up to date version at its best...... and Decked is the one for me.

Can i also ask what radio version you are using ?
Hi!. If you like Sense - I used the Rcmix 2.2b for over a year without a single reinstall. Now I've changed it for a newer version which is Aeonflux and I am more than happy with it. If you don't need Android higher than 2.1 and you are looking for something for everyday use this is the rom for you.
About radios.
Used both newest ones: radio-63.18.55.06PU_6.35.15.14 and radio-63.18.55.06SU_6.35.17.03. Didn't notice any difference.

Thanks but i need 2.2 and up since the applications i use on a daily basis wont work on 2.1 or lower such as facebook messenger and friend caster pro whoch dont seem to work on hardly any 2.2 roms because they always reopen and have to load all messages sometime so still looking for a stable rom atm.
the best rom I've ever used is undoubtedly the Floy VLC 1.3.0, it is fast and never crashes.
Version 2.3.6 of the market is very fluid, unlike many other rom! I am very happy!
