I'm really sorry about opening a new thread, but i really need your help on this one. I don't know what it might be, I tried to search the forum for similar problems, but couldn't find nothing.
So the thing is the sound just disappears in mid call as for me and for the other end to, than it comes back, than it disappears again, and so on for the rest of the conversation. And, as you all would guess, that is very annoying.
My guess: Maybe something with the proximity sensor?
If someone experienced this and already found a fix for this, I would really appreciate the feedback.
Thanks in advance.
Not sure. Oh and this would be better off in wildfire general (pm the moderator for this forum)

Sometimes i get numbers of people by calling others. Something i believe everyone does. So what i have a habit of doing is that i type up the number which my friend is giving me. Now if i dont save that number at that moment and i disconnect the phone, then the number gets erased. This i dont want to happen. I want the number to still stay there so that i can add the number afterwards rather than that moment.
This feature was there is WM5, where i used to get numbers whilst talking and they stayed even after conversations ended. ANy solution for me? Please reply.
All feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

There are many versions of beta WM6 ROMs out there. There are also many flaws in each of WM6 ROMs. Many are more serious than what you described that needed or people would like to see them get fixed. If you let what your described flaw bothers you, it is better to stay in WM5 to avoid further surprise or disappointmnet from WM6.
why do you even bother replying to a post like this if you do not have ani thing meaningful to contribute? i thought this was quite bit of an issue for others too. not only for me.
n if i were u, i wouldnt call myself a computer junkie.. u r juss an idiot, who wants to put down on people who identify flaws rather than ani thing else.. no one is really interested in reading your rude replies. so really if u dont have ani thing to do, then go mess arnd with ur own phone.

Try Using the "Note" feature when in a call, the only downfall is you have to type the numbers on the regular keyboard, but you could install a different keyboard to solve this. Hope this helps.
And please mind your reply, utterly unneccesary and rude.
Cheers.

indeed. post your question in the rom thread, im sure natf will get back to you.
ps. even though you hear the sound, the party on the other end of the call does not. so no worries about someone knowing you're receiving messages.
For ROM specific issues, please post in the ROM thread.
Otherwise please search, then post, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=477235
The reason I bring this up is because I feel like I started getting these calls, which has nobody on the other end and you can't call them back (line is disconnected), when I started rooting my phone.
Just a shot in the dark...hoping by rooting my phone and installing these roms I haven't given my number to some entity.
Anyone else getting this?

Why post this in here? This belongs in General.
If anything this belongs on the general discussion, it is not develpoment related.
my fault. sorry guys.
can someone just kill this thread now before it catches the whole section on fire from the flaming that is likely to ensue?
this is a perfect example of what we were talking about yesterday. Starting threads that have nothing to with development. This needs to be in general, but even then it may be questionable as its not really Eris specific.
OP, please understand that this forum is about developing roms for rooted phones.
ummm so is this like an actual question or are you just wasting space on the board?
what in your right mind makes you think rooting and flashing your phone will send numbers to telemarketers? i mean someone please correct me if im wrong but i think its called PUT YOURSELF ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST?!
Instead of replying to posts like, people need to simply hit the "Report post" button.
Moved to General.

It was a timing thing...I wasn't getting called until after I decided to start mod'ing my phone.
Given that rooting/flashing the phone is because 3rd party developers get their fingers in the code, etc.. I didn't know if there was a possibility an app on the phone "phones home" per se my phone number to some call center.
just trying to connect dots...since it already seems like its a single case of just me, then its not the root / flash issue.
no need to be a **** about it...my original post wasn't flaming anyone nor was it written in poor taste, just trying to connect dots.

Well to answer your actual question OP, instead of posting just for the sake of getting my posts up, I haven't experienced anything of that nature. I doubt it would do with rooting though because then many of us would also be complaining about those calls. Maybe an app you installed? website you visited? Text you sent out? try tracing your steps
Edit: Also, if all else fails, just block the number
First I would like to say thank everyone from XDA. I'm new to posting, but I've been lurking them for a while. I have learned A LOT and can't believe I haven't posted earlier. If the answer to this is there then my apologies. I work in a factory and use my earbuds/mic to talk on the phone. I understand that some background noise will be heard but there is far too much. If it helps I have a HTC Desire CDMA running MIUI 2.3.7 and I can't even find the voice privacy option. I have searched and searched and either it's not exactly my problem or no one EVER answers this. I really thought this would be an easy answer but turns out its not :/ If anyone could PLEASE help me I would be sooooo appreciated. Thank anyone in advance!!
Maybe what I'm looking for could be a mic sensitivity modifier or something like that. Maybe a app that can do this? I just know with all the apps/mods there is for android, there HAS to be a solution for this. I have yet to find one.
i think i got it thanks anyways
sorry for posting so much as i created this thread long ago. can a moderator please delete this thread its useless. thanks
Hi All,
I'm sorry to re-post this again, but I haven't seen anyone here to say me it is possible or even completely impossible - just forget about it. I will leave this issue forever if someone comes up with the latter. But no one has commented on this so far.
Please find the link to my situation here -

Your input, assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Sam
Do not make more then one post about an issue.
As for the issue you are gonna end up factory resetting. No way around it.
