Here is the apk file for the tmobile tv app, i found it off the hd2 forum it came installed on THE LEAKED MYTOUCH HD/4G source code
To install put on the sd of your phone and open astro or root manager, fine the .apk and install it.

It works over wifi but i can only view on demand shows , no live tv. Looks alot like mobi tv app that came pre-installed on the vibrant right?
***DISCLAIMER***
When you open the app it has a 30 day free trial for the premium subscription, if you do not end it before 30 days you will be charged $9.99 a month for premium services. If you end your subscription before 30 days you will still be able to view all of the free programming/on demand.
Yeah, found it an hour or so ago and was excited but it appears to be a themed version of mobi tv, which kind of sucks.

When You Open The App It Says MobiTV -.-
Says t-mobile tv, but stays on the main screen.
If its mobi, screw that.
Its a reskined mobi and it works for me

I installed an older market apk I had from a few months ago. Then after about 5 minutes it auto updated.
If you clear Market data in your Application settings it should update the next time you open it (or at least mine did).

I woke up to the new market this morning.
I cleared market data this morning and the music tab was up yahooooo!!!! Kinda like this better than Amazon MP3 as this has a web player that is actually nice. I "bought" a whole bunch of free tracks yesterday.
Here is the Amazon Video APK:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352694
This is really the last piece that the Kindle has over the Nook Tablet... and now that is solved.
Notes
There is some preventative code in the Amazon Video Player that stops it from playing if you are rooted, but just get the "OTA RootKeeper" app from the Google Market (or search the apk) and install that. That lets you temporarily unroot with a single click. Then restore root with another. All right from your device! No need for PC connection. Now you can watch your prime shows without losing root!
There is no menu option to login to your prime account through the app. Some people claim that if you have Amazon MP3 installed and login there, then install the Amazon Video app, it will use the same login info. But if that doesn't work, you can simply click on a prime video, click the buy button, it will take you to a login screen, then login and it should recognize your prime access and let you watch.
Won't save login
Amazon Video apk installs and runs beautifully but I can't sign in. I selected a movie to purchase, was taken to the login screen, entered login info (I'm a Prime member.) but then it kicks me back to the movie screen and starts the cycle all over again. After re-entering my login several times it never gets past the loop. Is there a trick to having it remember the login?
Try and reboot the nook after logging in, worked for me.

Worked!
Worked like a charm and I'm embarrassed that I didn't try this first! Thanks for your reply.
Looks like it doesn't work if you are rooted.
Worked before rooting, no longer working after rooting. I am a sad panda.
The work around is to use OTA RootKeeper, a free app on the Market that will backup your "root files" (I'm guessing su) and restore when you need it.

Unfortunately, I can't test this since I don't yet have the Nook or any other Android tablet. Hope it helps you guys out though!

Thanks! Worked like a champ. Just install, then click 'Temporary Un-Root'. All of my launcher buttons and everything else work just fine.

If I'm already an Amazon Prime member and can access streaming video from the Browser, which I tested, then what does installing this apk do?

It's a better layout, and the video plays faster since it's all native.
Didn't work for me. I think because my NT is now rooted. Got a "cannot open file" when I tried to launch the apk.
about streaming videos...
Can anyone check how these stream on NT:
http://vimeo.com/hd
http://veetle.com/index.php/listing#all/quality/1 (highest playable bitrates?)
Revision3 apk (available at Market) when on "HD" ?
any other online HD streaming video content you know of and able to watch and report/demonstrate?
Thank you
Can NON Prime members at least rent movies? No free streaming right? I have the Amazon player on my NT but afraid to login to my Amazon account because I dont't want to be charged $80 lol

The Vimeo video link played perfectly on my Nook Tab
*Normal* Veetle channels work fine but not HD channels

Prime membership just gives you a subset available to stream for free. It is not a requirement for accessing the video service.

On the page for the video, it shows the different options available to watch (Streaming, Download to PC, Portable Device, etc...). Can you download the portable device version and transfer it to the NT to play in the app?

You shouldn't get that error if you are rooted. It should let you do everything but give you a warning when you try to watch. But see the first post again for notes on how to easily bypass this.
works perfect! Thanks!

I've gotta use this OTA app even if I'm rooted? (which I am)
I installed the ATVAndroidClient apk. In GOLauncher what is the name of the app? I can't seem to find it.

Hmm. I installed the package twice and it's nowhere to be found, even with ES File Explorer.
Is there an app or mod to allow Wifi downloads over 3g/4G? I want to get the amazon free app of the day but I'm nowhere near Wifi.
Any and all information is greatly appreciated!

Ummmm
Wat
Did you turn off wifi then try to download? Shouldn't need an app...
You mean the "wifi connection required" message in the amazon app store?
I don't know of a way to bypass that. You would probably need a hacked copy of the Amazon app store. I use my phone as a wifi hotspot for my wife's iPhone when she wants to download a 25MB app.
Or maybe its controlled by the app developer, the same title is free on the Play Store and is marked as wifi download only, and its only 26MB. I want to say I've downloaded bigger than that before on 3G.

Something like Cydia's app? I've been wondering the same.
yeah amazon app store is stupid and requires WIFI to download anything over 20mb's =(. I wish they didn't do this.
On Android market it only "recommends" WIFI but at least it doesn't enforce like amazon/iphone.
I'ved looked for solutions and have yet to find any =(. All in All, amazon appstore fails. Apps are so far out of date most of the time.
There was a 3D game pre-instslled on my Thrill. When you open it and go to play it you got a message that you need to download the rest of the game, about 400MB. They forced wifi as the only option, and the download would cancel (not pause, actually cancel and delete the partial amount you did get) if you turned off the screen. Just one of the many fails to throw at the Thrill.
It would be nice if the Amazon app store just gave you a warning, or an option to enable it. Like the notification options that just changed. It would also be cool if there was a widget you could use to trick the system into thinking your data connection was wifi.

Hi guys
So a while back in March I got a new phone from Virgin (Canada). It's a Motorola Razr V (XT885). And a few months later I found out that I can't simply download .apks from the net, and transfer them to my phone via microsd. Even Motorola themselves told me this via email.
I browsed around, and I found this site. And I rooted the phone, and I was able to get apps like Plants vs Zombies, Runtastic Pro, and Vector Pro running all without a hitch. Then I think I unrooted my phone, and now I can't figure out how to get apks to install properly anymore.
I plug my phone into the computer and all that shows is what's on my MicroSD, music, camera. Apps can't be run from the MicroSD. I've tried a bunch but for example, Plants VS Zombies 2 says "This download is paused because you may not have purchased this app".
So I'm just wondering what am I doing wrong? This is really bugging me.
Thanks:

Same account I've always used.
I had apps like Runtastic Pro and all that running no problem. But then for some reason I unrooted my phone, and now I can't figure out how to get any of the apps to work again.
Hello all
I bought the Xperia Z Ultra a few days ago, and it's a brilliant phone. I reset it earlier due to the screen not responding very well. I have re-installed my apps, but the Xperia Privilege app is having problems. I had an activation code that came with the phone, which I used when I first set it up. I downloaded the free movies that the code allowed me to have, but now that I have reset the phone, I cannot re-download the movies or play them. They appear in the account as purchased films, and they are listed in the movies app, but cannot be played. My phone is completely stock and has not been rooted or modded in any way.
I sorted it, and it was easier than it appeared to be. I simply had to uninstall/remove each movie in turn, then re-install them, one by one. It took a while to re-install them, as they can only be downloaded via wifi, and my wifi is a lot slower than my 3g (my wifi is 3mbps at best, and my 3g is between 10 and 20mbps). Still, they have been re-installed and they are all working well now.
Do you have a link to the Privilege Movies APK? I just got the redemption coupon but Play days that the app isn't available to download in my country

I haven't used any apk's as I have never rooted my phone. You may need to search for an ip spoofing app, such as hidemyass, to trick the Google servers into thinking your device is located elsewhere. It's not my area of expertise unfortunately.
