Uninstall the update for the market, and see if it works.. When I updated market it stopped working for me as well. However, removing the update did the trick.

Same thing happened for me. Did a factory restore on the phone, got my APN's up again. And that fixed it.
This problem is there even for froyo , to solve all you have to do is to go to applications > Manage Applications > market > clear cache + data > Reboot

I really need help with this !!!!
Mine was rooted 026 firmware, which was working good and fine!!!!
but today i tried to change the font using type fresh !!
the phone rebooted ... thats where the problem starts!!!!
after rebooting, the first display which shows sony ericsson appears and then its the same screen for hours ( 2 - 3 hour approxx... ) ...
please help !!!! somebody help !!!!
You need to reflash using SEUS, and make sure you only use ttf fonts in future.
But how do i do it? is it thru Pc companion, the part where we select for update and then select the option for repair??

Yep, that or SEUS. I've screwed up before but don't know any other way to sort the phone after installing an incompatible font.

For me it worked up to the point of downloading apps but crashed out at installation phase.
If we can figure out where the download cache for the APK's are, we can still benefit from this! We could run the APK's manually to install.... If I can find this out I will share... if anybody knows, do share!
i installed codeRom nexus . now when i download any app from the market, it shows
downloading in the notifications . but when i click on it. the page opens and i see the app is not downloading.. iam not able to install any apps from the maret..

I think you have the same problem as me. Try installing the [new market] and check if they give you a message like "[insert_app_name] could not be downloaded due to an error".

I havent solved it myself yet, but a last resort it to reflash, 100% works.
Well today i tried to open Root Explorer, soon as i did so the app forced closed :O
Same for SetCPU and TitBackup :/
