Email Alerts - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've doing various updates and changes to my HD2 recently and I think I might have a problem with email alerts or I could be confused.
Could someone confirm whether their HD2 shows a preview of a new email message when the phone is locked and the screen is blank (sleep mode). It does when the screen is unlocked or on the lock screen
I have hard reset the phone to remove any gremlins and am only running the stock sense / stock O2 ROM (waiting for CHT 2.0 final ).
Any hints or help to get this functionality back (if Im correct) would be most welcomed.
EDIT - I get the on screen alert for text messages but not email... I have all the settings correct under Sounds & Notifications (Display Message on Screen)
Thanks

[Q] Unread SMS bubble not going away

Before I ask my question, I'd like to say that I spent the past 4 hours searching the hell out of the forums to find an answer to no avail. So please don't scream at me if a similar problem was resolved before and I failed to find that thread.
On to the question: I used Zenyee's "Disable HTC messaging 1.2" cab to restore the original tmail.exe sms interface as the main text app instead of HTC's laggy messaging interface. I have Cookie's home tab so I edited the registry and linked the notification icon to /windows/tmail.exe -service "SMS" . Everything is fine and dandy, but when I get a new text and I open it and read it etc... The notification icon still shows 1 message unread. This is true for both Cookie's notification icon and the messaging tab (green bubble with 1 on it). This doesn't go away until I reply to the particular SMS, or restart sense.
I'm sure my problem could be fixed with a simple Reg Edit. Anyone nice enough to help me out?
Thanks in Advance.
PS: I have stock TMOUS rom 2.10 etc.. I don't want to try 2.13 in fear of screen sensitivity issues.

[Q] SMS/Email Wake Up

My HD2 "wakes up" when a new SMS is recieved and displays the message in a box on screen.
This dosn't seem to work for Emails (unless the phone is on).... is that correct??
If this is by design, any hints to achieve this would be welcomed.
Thanks

i think that's by design. find out the registry edit to make the SMS wake up when it does & see if you can replicate that for emails.

[Q] Calendar Notifications not working on my HD2

Hi all, i just noticed that i no longer get calendar notifications, no sound and no message on screen. It's been a while since i changed any settings or installed cabs and i don't know how long this has been going on so i don't know what caused it.
i checked Settings - menu - all settings - sounds and notifications - notifications tab
event - reminders, and made sure display message on screen, sounds, vibrate etc is checked, but none of those options actually happen when an appointment is due.
using Energy ROM dutch cookie2.0 beta 1 oct
can someone please help me out or point me in a direction to search for myself?
Same bug to my leo with the latest official rom...
Same issue on my HD2 too...., stock ROM
It was working fine earlier....
i fixed this a while ago, not by changing any settings but because i flashed a new version of energy rom. Whatever setting was causing this was put back at default i guess.

[Q] Email count on LockScreen

Hello
Having just got my lovely blue S3, I have been going though setting things up.
I have noticed that when the phone is locked and I get a text message when I go to unlock I see a lovely icon saying SMS and the number of messages in it.
Is there a way of getting the same type of notification with emails? Is there a setting I need to turn on?
Thanks. eon

SMS lock screen notification issue

It doesn't happen all the time but when I get a text & use the notification for that text on lock screen it goes to the oldest message from that person & not the new one.
I have it set on SORT to go to newest but like I said it doesn't do it all the time.
I have reset my phone back to factory 3 times & still have it.
Anyone else having this or have any input
