Hi,
First post for me, hope someone can help!
Been searching around for this info for a few days, and didnt get any definite answer yet.
Exactly which Windows or Android devices support Qualcomm diagnostics mode? i.e. can be used with QXDM, QPST etc. Ive seen posts saying the Sprint CDMA Hero does, but GSM Heros dont, is this correct? What about other models?
Im looking for newer phones which can also be used in this mode. Particularly any models which support HSUPA? Does anyone have a list?
Thanks!
Phil.

ok here is my question can a Sprint Touch Pro work on Metro PCS, if yes how?
i have read up but the info on this is very scetchy and no one seems to be able to help me or point me to the right direction, i have gathered a few files but it doesnt come with any step by step instructions so am at a stand still without instructions
ok well i found a guide but they dont provide much help so since this community is always willing to help i was wondering if we can all bump heads and get this working for the touch pro community CDMA
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1443845 <-- Here is the guide
my first question is does any one happen to know whats metro PCS OTASP code?
and the first part of the guide mention that you need the MSL well in this case my phone is a sprint phone so it uses SPC, will running hte Hard-SPL CDMA ver found here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=42503 have me by pass this MSL or is that 2 different unlocking we refering to?
well i discovered that i cant use the Touch Pro well any CDMA phones on the Metro PCS over here cuz they use AWS technology which is outta CDMA Legue

thats where i get my info from, they told me that metro pcs does not use CDMA technology in NYC aside from that i did a search for Metro Flash around my area and got nothing
Using one in Palm Beach Fl. Had it flashed at a Metro Corporate store. Disregard the MSL, the MetroFlash turns the lock for spc to 000000. Still trying to get MMS working, got internet working. The directions at Howardforums are 90% complete.
I just sent myself a picture message from a picture i took and when I recieved it the picture was kinda small and very very pixelated and choppy. Is there a way to adjust some settings to fix this?
Theres already a thread about the MMS issue somewhere in these forums. Seems to be the network scaling them down before sending/receiving.
K searched the forum but didn't find it so there's no solution then I guess

Nothing I'm aware of, but the issue didnt seem to be with T-Mobile, it was with o2 (UK), so your issue may be fixable
I'm on o2 and have this problem. Please post if you find a fix!
I found the thread in question here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=546024
Looks like we need to find a way of editing certain hidden settings in the Hero to make network's servers think it's a recognised phone.
Just maybe this issue will fix itself for O2 customers seeing as they now offer the Samsung Galaxy i7500 running on Android...
just read that thread and it seems to be an O2 problem but im with T-mobile in the US would it be because they dont sell this phone for t-mobile in the us either?
It's not just an O2 problem, it should be the case on most/all networks who don't supply the Hero, including T-Mobile USA. The server defaults to the minimum resolution to ensure greatest compatibility.
We just need a way of either getting them to add the Hero to their mms server device list (unlikely!), or find a way to hack Android to report as an N95 or similar. The Windows Mobile people seem to have suceeded using this method.

Yup, and there will be a way, it just needs some clever **** to work it out.
Hey everyone, rare poster frequent lurker...
I seen a few people posting about reviews of the us models so I'm hopeing this is a question that maybe able to answered now?
Does anyone know if at&t and tmobile versions of the phone are one in the same? I mean i know they both use different frequencies for there 4G/LTE / + network but is Samsung installing radios/modems to cover both in the gsm model?
Here is my question in use.. I am interested in the tmobile s3, I have a work phone that is on at&t. I would like to run dual sim so I can just carry one phone or worst case swap sims as needed. Is this possible or would carrier specific models prevent me from accessing high speed internet?
I know its early yet but like I said I know there have been some hands on reports and a lot of talented people here that might know just from knowing the hardware Samsung used? If anyone can shed some light it would really help me out as I am doing my research now on which version suites me best. Thanks in advance!
Hello all,
I just got a Verizon HTC One Max and having a hard time flashing it to my CDMA network here. Is this possible at all? I've tried the methods I know of, with the tools I know of yet it doesn't seem to take anything written to the phone; it also always reverts back to RUIM_Only when it should stay at NV_ONLY which I set it to in order to accept writes to phone. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks all.
I am sure we all know about the lack of support for CDMA on the OnePlus X. I was wondering if it is possible to create a sort of relay that uses a CDMA sim and broadcasts to a GSM phone and vice versa. I don't know if this is an existing thing, or possible, but I thought it would be an interesting idea to research. Does anyone know anything about this? Is it possible?
Thanks,
Lev
Also, sorry about my ignorance on this topic- I only received my OnePlus X today, and it is my first phone.
In fact you want to operate a GSM BTS (for your OPX), that will communicate with another BTS using CDMA frequencies.
So like 2 BTS, a laptop, and batteries in a backpack, just for using your OPX in CDMA regions.
Why not, you could do it with Osmocom I guess.
But, being more serious, OPX supports some WCDMA bands. If not sufficent, just buy another phone. Nobody will ever bother to work on that.
I was reading that two of the missing bands were software locked. Is this the case?
I just decided to attempt this as a school project, I was just wondering if anyone had any knowledge or advice they could impart. Other than the common, "You can't do it" advice.
