(Q) Situational call blocking app? - Vibrant Themes and Apps

Is there an app that can block certain numbers/contacts based on given scenarios of time or event?
Example---block jon doe at 12am - 6am

Yes there is an app called tasker which can do exactly what you said. It also has tons of possibilities, allowing you to do anything based on situation.

[Q] Block "Call Rejected" Pop-ups?

Is there a way that I can get rid of the pop-up that shows every time that someone on my Auto Reject list calls me? Its really bothersome, and if they keep calling it wakes your phone each time and can drain the battery PDQ. BTW, I'm talking about the built in auto reject in settings. Thanks in advance to any and everyone that may have some advice or insight.

Is there anything that does this?

I need an app that will let me block Wifi for certain apps.
Lets say I have Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter, I want my Wifi to be on, but I only want to let Whatsapp use the Wifi connection. Is this possible?
Thanks!

I think "tasker" can let you do that but its quite a learning curve if you haven't used it before.

I think droidwall will do this.
Doesn't the phone switch off data connection when Wi-Fi is active though?

I do similar stuff using "Tasker".
Thanks. That was a good questions and really helpful answers.
I was wondering the same and Ill try out your suggestions...
Hopefully Ill figure out how to use them correctly
Does anyone have any tasker profiles for this? I use messengers like whatsapp and kik and while on the go I'd like to disable my data for everything else but only allow these apps to work. If I could do that, I feel like my battery life would more than double. If anyone could come up with a profile I would be so grateful! I'm no good at making tasker profiles on my own or I would do it myself.

texting.problems

when i text someone, there response is above the messige i sent them. How do i fix this?
Are you using the pre-installed messaging app?
What version android are you on? I've never seen that before.
Also you might want to change your posted photo because it's showing someone's phone number.
Is your phone clock correct? If yours is a few minutes slow you will be under someone with correct network time.
Also you might want to block out your contacts number in the picture. I doubt they want random phone calls

I have the same error also. I ended up reflashing my rom. If you find a fix, let me know.
Its your clock. I have this issue sometimes lol. Set the clock to the right time.

Tasker Profiles

Anyone know of a website or app that allows uploading and downloading of tasker profiles created by other users? Preferrably somthen with a large selection. I need it badly cuz I have no idea what the hell I'm doin when it comes to creating different profiles. As of now every time I fart my phone performs a Google search on the great wall of china. I was trying to set up a toggle that will turn WiFi on/off depending on if I'm home or not so I clearly screwed up somewhere. Can anyone help?

This is a must see thread it's not only a tutorial of everything (even how to fart and search for girls gone wild GREAT WALL special edition), but also kind of a roll up sticky thread.

[Q] not sure if poss. stop android from killing an app?

every 2-3 hours it kills network speed. an app that shows my current bandwidth use in the pull down menu and i then have to restart the app. i always run the app so this means it's wasting battery right? stopping and starting the app all the time.
anyways, is there a way to add this to an exclusion list to stop android killing it?
or maybe a way for tasker to check every 5 minutes and run the app if it's not already running?
This is probably the devs fault. He should set the app priority or something higher so Android doesn't kill it when it thinks the app hasn't been used in awhile.

You just said it yourself. It's an old app that hasn't been updated in ages. I don't know if you can "sticky" an app, but I would rather just find a different app that does the same.

but surely there must be a way to get android to up the priority.
i tried network speed but that didn't work well for me (showed wrong speed). in the short term i'm using an xposed mod for it and keeping this app open manually.
