Its not text.
You have to decompile framework-res.apk in system/framework
Then you need to go to "Res>Drawable-HDPI" and edit the network icons.
They are named like:
"stat_sys_data_connected_3g.png"
And what not
Then you need to recompile the APK

Anyone know how to change network (1X, 3G, 4G) and signal bars with UOT kitchen? I have changed everything regarding the top bar (battery, wifi, download icons, etc...) but the network and signal bars stay the same. What is the setting for it on UOT?
Thanks!!
Can't be done yet... They need to be changed manually. They are located in systemUI.apk.

you need to upload all three files in UOT to get all icons:
framework-res.apk
SystemUI.apk
com.htc.resources.apk

I did this the day that 2.1 came out. I must credit Gunthermic for further editing them, but these should work well for you.

Hi! I want to change my HDSPA icon on the status bar on my XT910. I try with Rom Toolbox and with NinjaMorph without any sucess. I can change the battery icon, bluetooth, wifi and signal icon but i cant change the H icon i want change it to 4g icon or 4g LTE.
Any help on this will be really apreciate.

If you want change the h icon to 4g or even 4g lte or any other icon that you want go to System/app/systemUI.apk with NinjaMorph free version for market is easy. If you want change battery icon, gps, wifi they are on System/framework-resapk
Thanks to RockoDev for your help.

First open your apk by 7-zip,winrar or whatever dicomplie apk.then go to res folder and look for the icon of this app in drawable-hdpi, drawable-ldpi, drawable-mdpi folders and replace the original icon by new icon then replace the modified apk with original apk in system folder.

More easier way
Use xplore me
Open ur desired apk as zip open res/drawable-ldpi and replace icon.png with your desired .png image
Keep resolution same as in apk
In some apps icon.png are in drawable-hdpi you hav to check that
After replacing use zip signer to sign apk and your good to go
And no need of computer

Could someone please tell me the easiest or best way to change the status bar icons, such as WiFi, mobile signal, etc. I'm currently using Xposed Icons, but there are a few it will not change on the Verizon N2. I have tried Ninjamorph, but it is saying it can't mount the system partition as RW. Thanks in advance for help on this.

The easiest thing to do is use Android MultiTool from right here on XDA. It makes no difference what ROM you are on. All of the statusbar icons are in the systemui.apk. simply copy the Systemui.apk and he frameworks.apk into the programs "files" folder and decompile it to your PC. Trade out the icons you want, recompile, then replace the old systemui on the phone with the new one. It takes no battery life like xposed does and is relatively easy. The OP for Android Multi Tool has plenty of explanations.
