There are many news and opinions going on there, in a centralized way. And if, as I see it, the x10 mini update will be available at the same time as the x10 one, then I think information gathered here should be valid for both models.

Yeah, well, on the product blog it has just been posted that the plan for October is still going on:
... As far as I know everything looks right on track so far so the plan still holds to start the roll-out before October ends ...

@matty323 wish we could be more specific - unfortunately all we can say is November for the 2.1 upgrade for the X10.

Why do you insist on posting links containing unsubstantiated claims. These sites are merely trying to gain free publicity (traffic if you like) from users on the internet.
It has already been stated by SE themselves there is unlikely to be further delays. All this rubbish about bootloaders and so forth is complete nonsense.

I posted a link to the official tweet of Sony Ericsson Canada. Don´t think that twitter is a site trying to get free publicity, and that Sony Ericsson Canada is a resource which can´t be trusted.

ohhh those trollsssss
we dont even have kitkat on sight and they are already teasing us with popsicles
hahaha. that is a funny picture. Hopefully they skip kitkat and release lollipop! That would make Huawei really the best phablet I had. but time will tell.
Saw it too , made me chuckle . Who knows , maybe they have something up their sleeve ha !

Skipping 4.4 would not be entirely unprecedented (Note II skipped an iteration of Android, either 4.2 or 4.3). However, I doubt a company that clearly does not have their US ducks in a row, so much so that they can't tell you if or when their new flagship will even be sold here, will be putting Lollipop on our AM2 anytime soon.
I don't know why you would say that? I have had nothing but a pleasant experience with Huawei and I'm running 3 Mate2s at my company and all unlocked and Rooted. Communication with [email protected] has always gave me prompt bootloader unlock codes and I would not be surprised to see this phone get L. It's the only phone they have out with LTE in America and will be forced to update to stay in the game. However right now the phone works and looks great and for $300 you can't get a better phone
Using Rooted Huawei Ascend Mate 2
Won't matter to me if it never gets an update. My last phone, a Note1, was stuck at 4.1.2 for almost 18 months, and it didn't bother me one bit. It was STABLE.
My Mate2, same setup. It's STABLE that is what I'm after, be it JB, KK or Lollipop.
I got excited and asked them about it, but they might know me by now haha.

You know I've actually been thinking about this ever since they posted that picture a month ago that showed the Android 'L' style navigation buttons.... I have been secretly wondering all this time if they were planning on skipping KitKat altogether in favor of one big upgrade to Android 5.0 (what we now know is called Lollipop). This pretty much tracks with that.... oooh how I'd love to be right on this one!

Confirmed that we'll possibly get some development progress on custom/aosp or even lollipop ports to our device. We currently gained official support for TWRP. That's a big step.

He's talking about the picture on Instagram of the HAM2 laying on lollipops. I believe Huawei was offering free lollipops. connect the dots.
My SGP612, Z3 Tablet Compact from Japan(I think, via eBay) 32GB Wifi, has said that it's up to date via the "About Tablet" settings and the Sony software on Windows and Mac ever since I've had it. Never got the 5.0 Lollipop and now the 5.1 is being released and nothing. Is there something easy that I was supposed to do here or does anyone know any little tips or tricks for this? Thanks very much.
Up to date, 5.1 release is only for: Italy and Benelux regions, speaking of model 612.
But you can flash it manually as I did. Works perfectly, though my region is Central Europe.

Agreed we shouldn't have to but things don't always work out that way.
It is great that we have options and contributors such as @sebarkh to step in with advice that I would never figure out on my own.
I am in the UK and likewise watching out for the update. If it fails to materialise OTA then I am reassured that there is a manual solution. But so far I am very impressed by what Sony is doing both in terms of hardware offerings and ongoing software support. Samsung needs to take heed.

You're definitely right. I'll eventually stop being lazy and just do it myself for sure, just hoping I won't have to. I do really like what Sony is doing too. Hoping for a Z4/5 Ultra this year! Thanks for your help guys!
Luckily the 5.1 update came today for me over wifi, which was nice cause I didn't feel like using the desktop software. Looks great!
Just wondering if I am alone in waiting on the UK OTA update to 5.1.1?
If, for some reason, I have missed the boat then I shall follow sebarkh's advice and use XperiFirm. Otherwise I am happy to wait a while longer for Sony to get round to us.
Hi, I am now able to answer my own question. Yesterday Sony OTA upgraded my UK OS to v5.1.1
So I can defer rolling up my sleeves and getting my hands dirty and possibly voiding my warranty for a while. The need for Root is becoming quite pressing though.
Just stay on 4.4 because the 5.1.1 update sucks! There is no change regarding the throttling issue when brightness is above 50% or when you have automatic brightness activated so, the intermitent lag is stiil present.
Sent from my SGP611 using XDA Free mobile app
It solved all of the bugs that effected me though. :/
No throttling for me anymore on 5.1.1

Oddly enough, I went to the site that the photos are watermarked with and couldn't find a trace of these photos, mention of lollipop, anything... Even though they were posted on that Vietnamese forum I stumbled on just a few days ago.
Notice the new baseband... I wonder if it has included VOLTE!
This is really nice, but why Vietnam? I thought VZW only sales Z3V here in the US… maybe there're some Vietnamese developers working on this phone just for us, and that will be sooo nice!
Fingers crossed

Well actually it says ROM in the link I'll show you... But having a new baseband and kernel version? No way anyone developed that but Sony.. Especially on these locked bootloaders...I'm guessing they mean ROM as in FTF... I wish there was a download link and not just screens... It's so mean to just tease it lol. Link

Looks like from the information he gave you, the build number will look something like 23.1.D.0.485. I've done mad searching around for any of the unique numbers or information he gave in screenshots and I could find absolutely NOTHING, so definitely not on the internet somewhere. Fact that he's connected to and HSPA network in Vietnam is curious, too. Didn't know the Z3v had that type of capability.
Yes, I have tried z3v with H+ connection in Taiwan last time I stopped for business

We have always rooted apps like Link2SD which take the place of adoptable storage. As long as it comes out within this month on my phone I will be extremly happy.
WOOW good newsssss
My phone's away for repair right now. Dunno how long that will take. Can't wait to finally have marshmallow! Hopefully adaptive storage will be a thing. Sure it's slower but of you use it for large apps such as Facebook that don't need to be that fast, could work well, also making much more worth while for owners, if they want to keep users, and they can obviously see the demand and questions about if it would be included, it would be stupid not to, especially if they want to keep customers
Ahhhhhhh...at last... yeah.. it'll take few days until update hits the devices.. may be one or two..or may be 1-2 weeks..:highfive::highfive:

Bro, are you really that stupid or you just pretend to be so?
Sammobile has all the official firmwares for each samsung phone. That is 100% guaranteed.
So, please be mature enough and search before posting. XDA is not a place where you order people impolitely since you do not "own" any of these people who are here.
XDA users/developers are doing the work 100% voluntarily and it is not nice to be rude to them.
Don't be spoonfed, search, search, search and if you think you have searched enough, search again.
Your 6 years of "experience" should be enough to know where to find official firmware.
Peace.

@SmallFri98 So here's the thing since you're not very experienced on this site, there are a couple things to keep in mind. First there's an old saying that it's better to use sugar than vinegar. Secondly you should take a peak at the Rules on XDA and become familiar with them. Rule 1. Search before posting and also rule 2.3 flaming/lack of respect. Even after you were given the link you kinda got a bit sassy with people which is not a good practice and I can assure you that you will not get very far or get much support that way. This site can be fantastic and very helpful but if you're just going to get abrasive with people that are helping you then you will not enjoy your time on here. Anyway since the answer to your question has been given this thread no longer serves a purpose.
Thread closed.
Thank you,
