HTC HD2 ROM 1.48 SMS Problem
I have the HTC HD2 ROM Version 1.48.720.2
I can't send out SMS messages. Can anyone give me the link to the software update to fix this problem? I need the patch for the 1.48 - the fix for the later ROM version does not work and I can't find the fix for the earlier ROM version.
install the latest Rom update 3.14.x.x
im too having a similar problem.my rom is 1.66 but the problem with sending txts is that i can send and recieve sms in only my area but when i move to another location im unable to send sms and i can only recieve them :s sim card is ok as it works well on another fone..tried another sim card to but didnt help hotfixes and hard resets already done

Have you ever been able to send SMSs?
If not, then you probably need to get the Text Message Centre Number from your operatior's website. Phone->Services->Voice Mail and Text Message-> Text messages service centre:
Your ROM could do with updating. If you just want to stay with your operator's ROM, then go to their site and download it. Make sure you back up all your contacts and whatever, as they will be overwritten with the flashing of the ROM.

I was able to send SMS then after a while they stopped and just sat in the outbox, piling up, then after a couple of days or something, once they were all outdated, they'd all be sent.
This has been a known issue and there was a fix for ROM 1.48... then with the updating of the ROM they removed it and replaced with another fix. Looks like I'll have to update my ROM, yes? No other solutions?
tried installing the hotfix for sms from official htc website?

when installing the latest ROM you are sure to have all known bugs fixed

Hi, this is a strange problem:
1) Sometimes people call me but my mobile does not receive the incoming call. People say to me that they heard that my mobile is not busy, and the signal of the beats is correct.
I noted that it happens from time to time, when my mobile is looking for the provider but the LIGHT GREEN is blinking.
2) Also, I do not received some SMS. The problem is not due to my provider (ORANGE) because I talked to them. I also had this problem when the previous version of the rom but now I receive more SMS.
I think the problem is due to the radio version. Is there a modern one? Can I download it?
My radio version is 02.69.21

no, 2.69.21 is the latest radio-rom right now.
i had the same problems sometimes, but i think, that a problem of my provider not of prophet(o2). i never used the ProphetTouch versions only PDAViet, PDAMobiz and Crystal

Same problem here.
The problem occurs with serveral providers; Vodafone and T-Mobile.
Downgraded my Radio Rom to 02.20.21 and now it's fine.

I didn´t find any comment about different radio versions.
However, i downgraded my radio version and I realized that my battery get empty faster. So, it seems you have to setup again the rom version. I fix my problem in that way.

Anyone having problems like me?? i can receive mms and send them but people cant /dont receive the mms i sent them.. tried upgrading and downgrading the Radio and the MCR ROM, still doesnt work... help
Edit:
It worked before actually before i upgraded to the latest Radio and MCR Rom
finally managed to get the mms working.... most probably it was the Radio..... downgraded it to the FU version
Hi everyone,
I have a stock HD2, bought it from eastern EU.
I do sms alot amongst other things but the problem is that sometimes the sms i send never reach the destination.
I did check if the other person i not out of signal and so and anything regarding signal issues and network coverage.
I activated the delivery reports and as stated sometimes the sms never gets in the air.
If anyone had the same problem or knows a fix for this issue i would be much obliged.

P.S. sometimes if i don't get a delivery report with delivered or any at all, i restart the phone (turn off, back on) and i do recieve the reports and the sms are sent.
Sometimes not, like at the moment...

The only updates i made to the software were the ones on the oficial htc web page.
No updates to the ROM because for my serial number none could be applied.
I am very new to the WM world so i didnt want to make any changes to the phone that would result in an expensive brick

there should be an official update for the sms prob om the htc forum. also i strongly suggest updating your ROM to atleast 1.66 stock (or a custom one)

Also i did try to update my ROM from the official site but when asked to enter my serial number it prompted me that the update is not suitable for my phone.
Kind of scared to update the ROM as my noobish self could brick the phone by doing something idiotic.
Also i wouldnt know wich of the milions of ROMS out there is recomended for my type of phone.

The reason is because all the mobile operators add their own personalisation to the ROM (ie T-Mobile will have Web'n'Walk in the ROM). So not to step on the mobile companies modifications, HTC will only give their ROM updates to unbranded phones (this is done through the serial number). To get the ROM update from the operator you need to go to their website.
Personally I would go to the ROM section on here and follow the instructions in install the 1.66 standard ROM. Please read the instructions and just not go straight to the download area. The 1.72 ROMs are the 1.66 ROM with mobile company branding.

I have had the MIUI rom for a couple weeks now and ever since then I cannot send pictures, but I can receive them. I'm not sure if I could before but before I had the rom, I put the 4.0.4 Brazillian firmware on it and I don't recall being able to send it then either. Is it the rom? Or is it the Brazil firmware that I had before that is causing me issues? And if so, is there a fix that I can do? My phone is originally supposed to be on Rogers if that helps anything.

The rom was the EU stock retail rom for GB 2.3.6. So, trying to solve this, i updated to ICS 672.180.33.xt910.Retail.en.EU. The problem persists, but now, i got a new problem : I cant even send sms! Everytime i try to send an sms there's an error. I called the costume service of motorola here in my country (Brazil) , they said that i need to disable the "Cell Broadcasting" but i couldn't find this on settings. So, there's another way i can disable this?

Many people are suffering with it.
Man, I have finally fixed this issue!
I am currently using ICS 4.0.4 (Vivo carrier). Claro carrier does not have this SMS issue, only Vivo and Tim (I have never tested with Oi carrier).
Just follow the steps below:
1. Open the message settings (default stock message).
2. Enable "Delivery Reports"
3. Disable "Auto-retrieve"
Boom! You're done!
Please tell me if that works!
