I have a NTT DOCOMO SO-01B and i can't wait update OTA.=.=.Website japan don't have any information for update. Can i flash the fw bi4n or try something for update 2.1?Thx for help!!!
I have an NTT Docomo SO-01B
I used Binary's method "X10Flash 2.1 final & 2.1 Firmware." You can find it on the X10 Development board.
Everything worked fine. It also includes the Japanese keyboard (which I prefer so much more over Simeji)!
You will lose access to the Mixi-supporting Timescape (no problem if you have no Mixi account). You also will lose access to the Docomo shop (in my opinion, again no problem).
After you finish, you can run Titanium Backup to remove the stuff you probably won't need (Chinese keyboard, Danish keyboard, a few localized apps, etc.).
Good luck..

now, both NTT Docomo and SonyEricsson announced SO-01B will update to 2.1 @ Nov 10

I used the nordic one - (same as benjn)
imo it's worth getting the update for the battery life alone.

Thanks for the info. I gave up checking Docomo & Sony Ericsson's sites and figured someone would post the dates here. I'm just going to wait a few more days then myself.

I am currently using NTT Docmo Xperia x10 on android 1.6. Its model is SO-01b and i want to upgarde to android 2.1 and unlock the phone as well. But i am not clear which version to use , nordic or global. I am not sure but on according to wikipedia nTT docomo so-01b is based on x10a.
Please someone help me if anyone could give me suggestion.
My Docomo X10 is flashed to global generic 2.1 and running just fine.
Just don't forget to write down your APNs so you can put them back.
You want the "bizho" one, since that's the network where your internet fees are capped.
Thanks for the response gtkashi.I am now in Nepal and want to make the phone work here in Nepal by upgrading to android 2.1. Could u please clarify me whether flashing would make the phone sim free.
it won't. You're just updating the software, not unlocking the phone.
Get in contact with nttdocomo to see what their policies/costs for unlocking your phone are or try to see whether there's some shady services for unlock codes by now.
Global to Docomo firmware 2.1
With this upcoming update for Docomo, if you currently have global 2.1, how would we "instruct" SEUS to flash the Docomo firmware? Would we need to edit some *.prop ?
Personally I'm hoping someone would extract the firmware itself so that the flasher tool can be used to overwrite the existing one.
Either way, 30 min til Nov 10!

[edit] Working now for Generic UK over SEUS - If you're still not seeing an update, try uninstalling SEUS and downloading the latest version
no update for my mini yet (uk generic)
maybe today but later?
for xperia x10i the updates are already out
No luck here using UK generic f/w but not in the UK. Mini Pro.
i just got my x10 mini on three branded today first thing i did was debrand it to uk generic with the build.prop all worked well gonna try this update now hope its there now is this for uk generic?
just tried it now uk generic 2.1 firmware update yet. @ 1450pm
Oh well
Maybe it'll really be live by the time I get home this evening
I can confirm that my mate got the update for his generic X10 today. However as of yet nothing on my Mrs X10 mini pro.
on a facebook answer se confirms that today(in a few hours) tha mini update will be ready for download
I wasn't able to wait this long knowing that a flashable 2.1 version was available
Seem like it's just for the X10, but not the mini yet...
From SE UK twitter page:
@TrueSaiyan Your X10 mini should be ready to update in the next few hours, let us know if it doesn't so we can look into it. 13 minutes ago via CoTweet in reply to TrueSaiyan
its out for me!!
pity i left my USB cable at my girlfriends lol, when i check for update via wifi it says an update is available but needs to be done from a PC, it MUST be 2.1!
Not available for me OTA, SEUS or PCC.
Checking for updates doesn't show anything new yet.
I'm guessing it's not coming today at all.
When the Nordic one came out a week ago, I think it was about 8:30pm...
Are there any benefits whatsoever to use uk generic instead of nordic?

Any uk users got the update is it officially out now?
I think it will be available this weekend at some point, but who knows when!

We have two debranded UK Orange x10 mini using the generic build.prop that's kicking about.
We're waiting - tried update on phone and PC companion.
side note : can someone confirm 1237-0392 is the correct code for x10 mini e10i uk generic please.
How do you check what generic firmware you have and which one is the proper uk generic firmware?
Hey.
I´m new at this forum and maybe its not in the right place, that I post this (I could not post i develope).
I´m looking for nordic (DK) official software for my SK17i Xperia mini pro.
A couple of months ago I rooted the phone, but now I have new phone and I gave my wife the Mini pro. But there is a lot of problems with it.
Yesterday I flashed it with 4.0.A.2.368 but now the slide down keyboard does not work with the danish letters "Æ", "Ø" and "Å".
And furthermore when I rooted the phone, I was not able to update it through SEUS or PC Companion to an official firmware, because it says that the phone have modified software.
So I found a generic nordic firmware in this thread, but Megaupload is shutted down by the departement of justice.
What to do ?
You should use Wotanserver to flash your Xperia Mini Pro, just follow the instructions.
You can select which version and language you want to flash.
My phone is rooted and I can reflash it with PC companion or SEUS whith no problem.Just wondering why you cant do sR you maybe unlockt bootloader, this may be a reason.
Have you tried SEUS in repair mode? That should definitely work (as in, get you a clean firmware). Depending on your current firmware (your /system/build.prop ) that may not be helpful because you might still get a normal qwerty firmware; in that case, just root your firmware and edit /system/build.prop as described in a thread by me about forcing SEUS to flash a firmware of your choice; HERE.

Any Luck with finding the stock SO-02c Docomo firmware Kidzius?? I'm having the same problem... I've looked all over the place, maybe I need to move to Japan and learn Japanese, might be easier!
I would like to get the stock firmware before I start messing around with flashtool .ftf files, anyone?
