Hi
I dont know if this topic exists, because I don't get the search function of this app .. Today we compared the same picture on three devices .. A x10 2.1 rooted and dualtouch enabled .. X10 1.6 and samsung wave .. Wave had the best resolution .. But the 1.6 has also got a way better resolution than my 2.1 .. its a picture with handwriting and it really sucks on my x10 ... Pdf zoom in stays high res ... Any idea how to change or what is the problem?

Resolution of an image is the amount of pixels in the x and y axis.
It is unlikely that the 2.1 photos would be lower res than the 1.6 photos.
If you mean blurry then try turning off image stabilization. Also if you are zooming it will actually scale the image. There is never a point in zooming on a camera without a zoom lens. Just crop the final image. That is what it is doing anyway.
Thanks for your answer !!
But i dont talk about a picture from a phone camera .. its exactly the same picture from a high res canon cam .. and we sent that to the phones via bluetooth... i hope you understand now...
I figured out ..that with large image viewer from market i get a better result.. but only as good as mediascape 1.6 .. really weird
And i think the wave just has more colours and so its sharper???

try using the Android Gallery app on all the phones.. then you'll be comparing apples with apples... (or failing that, download the same photo viewer off the market to all 3 phones and try that... ).. also - make sure that all the phones have the brightness set to max for the test.. that will make a big difference (Rachel 2.1 vs 1.6 handles brightness settings differently)
Hey iceman .. thx for your answer ..
This would be a great idea.. but its just interesting that mediascape and the stock android gallery in my 2.1 can not scale it up to the same sharpness as 1.6 mediascape regardless of the brightness setting? ??!!
I have installed cm 2.2 now and its a bit better....

I stumbled upon this thread by accident. Recently I found a gallery software that's fast and able to zoom in at full jpeg resolution. It's name is QuickPic.Very nice. In my opinion, though simple, better than Mediascape or Android standard gallery.
Just wanted to share.
I love NobodyAtall's ROMs and I wonder; which is the best of these ROMs? What
s the big differences between them? I know MiniCM7 has that Camera issue where you, with the current code, can only shoot in VGA. That won't actually bother me at all, seeing as I'll buy an iPod Touch tomorrow (yay ), so which one should I use? I currently use MiniCM6 though. I don't want to go back to 2.1 as I hate pretty much anything in it.
CM6 is based on Froyo while CM7 is based on Gingerbread
CM6 is more stable!
MiniCM 2 is LDPI > low density
MiniCM 1.0.2 is MDPI > medium density
A game that works on MiniCM 1 doesn't always works on MiniCM 2 for example: Pumpkins vs Monsters, cos it needs bigger screen density
To answer your question: Froyo = Android 2.2 without ANT+
Gingerbread = Android 2.3 without ANT+
What do you want, froyo or gingerbread???

Lol, that made my day
CM6 it's CyanogenMod6, that means OS based on android Froyo (2.2), brutally faster that stock eclair (2.1), improved and flash capable
CM7 it's CyanogenMod7, based on Gingerbread (2.3), slightly improved, and with cool themes, and smooth scrolling but IMHO, will never be so cool like froyo
ROM Manager

I'm going to try to install CM6 on my phone; but I tried installing D4rKn3sSyS's Mini ROM Manager and when I try to backup or do anything else I get an error saying not enough space on the sd card. I have 6gb free on a 16gb sd card. Any suggestions?
Have never used the flash on my legend before until last night. I was horrified by the bad bad overexposed white'ish photos appearing on my screen when using the flash to take a photo of a badly lit room.
Only when i go really close to something the photos are ok but otherwise using the flash is absolutely rubbish !
Is there an app or update or something to correct this ?
Running CM 7.0.3
AFAIK CM roms have the ability to make the light brighter than it should be.try another rom?
Have tried both 2.1 and 2.2 original rom for legend with the same bad overexposed result.
My friends legend running stock 2.2 also have completely unuseable pictures with flash.
Yes, I tend to rarely use flash and adjust my real-life background lighting and white balance to reduce that crap. I'm on CM7, but this problem persisted back with Blay0's 0.7, 0.8.4, and Stock 2.1 and 2.2, but that doesn't really matter.
The camera is great without the flash, the flash is only useful occasionally but then you experience shutter lag. I just use it for the flashlight
How come HTC hasn't tried to fix this since it seems to be a persistent design flaw ?!
I have the same problem with ogo2's ROM

Just wondering if it's just me, but since I upgraded to MIUI v4 on my Galaxy S2, every wallpaper I've set for the lockscreen end up pixelated and looks so bad. The dimensions of the pictures are fine for my device, I think.. so there should be no reason why they would be pixelated.
Is this a common problem or is there a way I can fix this please?
same problem occured during the 2.0 and 2.1 gallery? then it was fine on 2.3 gb and then it became blurry again once the ics update.
