Some suggestions:
1) update to the newest version (kaosFroyo is at v38, I believe)
2) look through the kaosFroyo thread to see if others are having similar issues
3) try a different ROM
It's good to try different ROMs anyway. They are all a little different and you won't really know which one you like the best until you try several.

Also... before you flash the new rom make sure you dalvik and factory wipe.

I've tried a bunch of these ROMs and most of them have so much junk packed into them. So far the cleanest smoothest ROM is:
[ROM][GPL] CELB Froyo 3.5(Trackball and Led notifications working )10-26-10
Conap keeps all the junk out for you to install yourself. All these ROMs have a little camera issue. If you leave the camera app open and walk from your phone it'll reboot the phone. I can live with that one.
Try that CELB Froyo 3.5 it's really smooth.

For the camera issue, try using Vignette (awesome 3rd party cam) or camera magic.
Btw, my rom is pretty much modeled after conap's, so you can included FroShedYo in that list too ... less junk... more phone

Totally agree... worth every penny fo sho! Camera magic is damn nice for being free, too. And it's the quickest to activate ... but picture quality isn't as good as Vignette's.

I noticed that the HTC sense gallery does not have Picassa integration like the stock gallery does. I got the stock Froyo Gallery3D.apk and installed it and it works fine so I decided to attach here for everyone!
Just download put on sd card, click with astro or the like, choose install with package installer, enjoy Picassa goodness.

As far as I can tell the version in the market is not the official one. It is the gallery from eclair.
I don't know if it really matters or not. I suppose you could pull the apk from any 2.2 rom and it would work fine.

works great... yeah this feature suxed balls on the 1st gen mytouch 3g... I remember CM including it on one of his update and a few days later he updated his rom again with taking it off cuz it wan't stable... But man does this work great on the MT4G

I just set the 3D gallery to default and I used LP to hide the icon for the other gallery. So its still there but you wouldn't know it.

Pull down the iced glacier ROM posted in the development section. You can get the stock one out of there.

If you are interested, to solve this issue, you can simply replace the MMS app you have with the one from AOSP Android 2.2. You can find it in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=846113
I changed it to the new one, and it integrates flawlessly with the 3D Gallery as well as everything else on the phone. And, I happen to like it better than the MMS app that came with the ROM.
And then you can actually delete the stock gallery app, and there won't be any adverse effects (for me at least, individual results may vary).

Good find then, thanks for it. I wasn't sure if you posted it because you can't stand the gallery app (like me) or as a fix for this issue. Either way, now people have a link from this thread to fix the issue in case they run into it.
Just wanted to say thank you for this =)
btw, I installed it (it works nicely on the mytouch4g) but I am not sure I want to delete the original gallery (just in case; also cause I haven't set up a nandroid backup simply cause I'm not sure how to) so I just 'freeze'd it with Titanium Backup Pro...that shouldn't mess up anything right? In addition it allows you to take pictures even if the phone has a low battery %....

PS im not responsible for broken phones... tested using Axura 2.0.6 and it works..
As fas as i can tell this will work on Froyo roms NOT Eclair..i have tested on Nero roms aswell as Axura roms and all is good, pinch to zoom works and so does the HD recording... enjoy...

I don't know about anyone else but I would like to see this implemented on OUR stock camera.apk. Anyone with more intelligence than me able to possibley do this?

It causes the phone to completely freeze when it starts to record (little circle spinning). I have to do a battery pull. This is only when I change the settings to 1280 x 720 on the camcorder

what the title says i just switched to this ROM and really like it very smooth i know he is banded from xda 2 times but thought i would start a discussion thread on the ROM any tips tricks or bugs ?
i am personally wandering what other CM7 themes for the theme chooser will support the transparent status bar
this rom is based on miks 6.6.1 so the discussion thread for that rom is also meant for this rom. remember that this is a themed rom, not a new custom rom

Uninstall the MIUI gallery. The old android gallery would be still present in the ROM.
Regarding the camera, what is the issue you're facing?

I've removed the MIUI gallery, and I have no gallery... I am able to see images, but the gallery is missing.

Did you upgrade from a previous CM7 ROM or did you do a fresh install of the MIUI ROM? If it is the later, you may not have the old gallery. Search the forums for the apk. Somebody would have posted it surely.
Regarding the camera, reduce your OC level to 600/480 before using it. Should work.

Yea I actually have the same problem but I have not tried to fix it I will try to put the original CM7 camera see if that works, yea no it didn't work but if you replace the miui camera app with the original CM7 camera app and reflash it, should fix the camera problem problem......if you want the gallery back then just to the market and download gallery 3D , I think it's called that ,just type gallery in search it should be one of the first apps, it is the stock gallery app

1. using Camera Zoom FX as default camera.
2. using QuickPic as default gallery.
They both work great.

3. Why you want MIUI rom and upcoming updates ? Its based on Mik sources, flash mik's rom, franco kernel and MIUI theme of zdunex (search xda) which will be same like the MIUI theme rom. If you need MIUI apps, search the apps section you will find gallery, camera or god knows what else.

I think he was not using multiple accounts. The moderators thought that an inactive account of dr.notor was still active and assumed that he was using two accounts. The irony was it was dok himself who asked for the previous account to be disabled.

It isn't the same, the clock isn't getting centered too.
Do you have any idea what this guy is using?
After you update qqlauncher from market do you get force close error for the first boot of the phone? Error is from launcher, and after i press force close, the launcher restarts and everything is working fine.

first thing i did after flashing the rom, i benchmarked it using neocore and compared it with the results that i got on miks 6.5.8. the results: the oxygen rom consistently scored 2 fps more than miks 6.5.8 on 245/600 smartass
looking good so far! only cons:
no fm radio (maybe because of the bluetooth problem?) and stock video application (ah well i can just download a third party app)
scrolling is not so smooth

i am just as confused. ive followed each direction carefully...flash rom, then gapps.
perhaps it wasnt included?
and as i have read, oxygen was also built for battery life. that doesnt seem to be the case so far. i have wiped battery stats but it is going down pretty fast. must be that battery drain issue in franco.kernel v18 (im already at 93% after only 52 minutes)

ahh alright. well spirit fm seems to be an excellent alternative for now
is anyone else having issues with video recording? it seems to not respond for several seconds after you hit the record button, then the screen turns white (i am on the original kernel that came with it, franco.kernel v18)

For me stock keyboard with suggestions turned on works perfectly from beginning. I'm not sure that this is a bug, maybe something is wrong with your setup.

I also installed lg stock keyboard because this is for me best keyboard, i dont now did word suggestions worked before that, but it is easy to try. There is flashable zip with lg stock keyboard somwhere here.

I'm talking too about stock oxygen (standard Gingerbread) keyboard as you can see in attachment. I tried it after I saw your post and before that I installed lg stock, probably it is not connected, but you can try, here is the link:

is the phone hanging on anyone using this rom? right when it boots up, when i give it several "commands" it seems to temporarily freeze and act sluggishly. also when i am playing a cpu-intense game, the phone sometimes reboots starting from the oxygen bootanimation
after looking at the development thread, it looks like the keyboard suggestion is no longer an issue and you can now flash another kernel without getting the blackscreen bug. is this true?

Right now, for Vibrant's case.

Passion/Euphoria are both outdated by any ROMS released these days.
Passion and Euphoria both have bugs that have been fixed, but the ROM was not updated.
I HIGHLY recommend you move on to a different ROM if you are still on Passion or Euphoria.
Agree with x. Passion was good but never updated. I haven't tried Chimera. I'm currently on Gummy 1.2/Devil 3.0.75!

Chimera is a nice rom . It has great battery life as well . The installer is crazy it is a touch installer . You could also use the installer to modify your install of chimera later. There are options for different kernels , fonts , themes , inverted gapps and so on . I was on utopia but it didn't have tv out so I switched to Chimera and I'm very happy with it .

I moved to Chimera as well, I am trying it and so far its great.
the installer is awesome, it has less lagging than euphoria, and GPS is working well.
anyone mind linking me to Chimera?
A quite of people have said they like it, i'll test it out later this week.

I have been running chimera for about a week now and i am loving it. Its stable fast and tons of customizable options. I would recommend switching over to chimera if you havent already, definitely the best ROM offered by Team Passion at the moment. O yea, the custom installer is SICK!
I just downloaded Chimera and I'm going to flash it tomorrow and let you know... currently running Euphoria and while I loved it at first, it has had a lot of slow down and some issues recently with force closing.
There is a new kernel for Chimera . Chimera 1.3 . Better GPS and fixed voltages .

Go to their website and click on forum at the top. You will see a thread named chimera kernel 1.3 or something similar and the download is in there.

I've used it for a little over a day now, and I can say it's much faster than ics passion v13 was running for me. Passion was getting really slow, call quality was awful, and everything would crash. Now it's running very smooth, call quality is what it's supposed to be. My only complaint is I can't add widgets to my home screen without the launcher crashing. Not sure what's going on here, anyone have this issue. It's particularly with beautiful widgets?
Edit: I followed this post and got it working:
There is a way but it's little complex...
1. You need to download a root explorer (I use ES File explorer).
2. You need to use the explorer and locate the "Launcher2.apk" in data/app/ folder
3. You then need to move the apk from data/app/ folder and put it into system/app/ folder
4. Make sure the launcher your currently using doesn't have default on (if using different launcher)
5. Reboot your phone, choose CNDlauncher, and BAM! you can now use CNDlauncher to add widgets from the app/widget drawer.

For me, Chimera is flawless. I came from ICS Passion 13.1 and suffered from poor call quality and lagging. With Chimera and the Heart V2 kernel, everything is working great and my phone is the fastest its ever been. Also, my battery life is awesome too. I am going to try the new kernel that fixes the GPS after DS issue and see how that works.

Yea you can do it that way or you can go through the modify install and choose a different launcher, apex works fine. The launcher problem will be fixed with the next update according to team passion.

hopefully they also fix this other issue I'm having.. Can't set a wallpaper from the picture "gallery"
