It seems to work just fine for me, just like it did in 1.8.3.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
mine does not.. I just tested using Go SMS Pro and it fails to show up.. that's a slight inconvenience
It has been working normal for me, so definitely not something affecting everyone.
I haven't tested it with any third party apps, maybe that's the problem.

2.3.4 Everything seems to work Except moto blur which i have no problem with it
not working didn't like it.
GPS - Works
WIFI- Works
LED notification - Works
netflix VIA on 2.3 Works No more Green line and hazzy screen
my led works, but when you turn on the phone the led doesn't turn green like it used to do.
by the way, this started to appear just after unlock, the hktw build has got nothing to do with it!

same here.. the phone doesn't start with a green notification; however, i just sent myself a text message and it is blinking green.
not sure what is going on with others' phones.
The notification light doesn't work for me as well ._.
I sent a text message to my phone and got it but the notification light isn't working.
Probably a long shot but worth trying I guess
For all those people for whom LED lights are not working, do you have it enabled in Settings?
works for me!

May I ask where that setting is? I looked in Display and it was not there.
Didn't see any lights on my 2.3.4!
the same hope update
Yes. I noticed mine doesn't light up as like it used to back in Froyo. In fact, the only time it would light up is during power on from cold. All the light up when charged to 90%, blinking when there's an sms, all not working anymore.
I just updated my atrix to 2.3.4 since yesterday and the notification light is not working anymore.
Mine didn't work after upgrade to 2.3.4 Was going to backup and do the factory reset, but when I use myBackup to backup the Data (contacts, settings, etc.) the LED for the notification came back, except the full charge notification light.
(googled and found that some people has the same problem with Droid when upgraded to GB, some of them suggested to clean application cache to get it working)
I don't want to do the factory reset, so will keep looking for the solution.
it works
ATT4.5.91
I just updated my Atrix to 2.3.4 yesterday and it works the same as it always did.
Mine works as before too with only one exception. The LED does not come and stay on when the phone is plugged in and fully charged. This is actually a welcome change to me.
Does anyone know what the flashing blue LED means? And is there a way to disable it, at night it can be very bright!
Paul
Probably some useful info in the user guide http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/GT-I9300MBASWC-downloads?isManualDownload=true
Sent from my CM9 TouchPad
Nope, nothing in the manual that refers to the Blue Flashing LED.
Paul
Do you have anything enabled in the LED light settings that would explain why it's flashing?

Please read again.
Settings -> LED Settings
Red is low battery and/or charging
Green is fully charged
Flashing blue means there is a notification of some sort.
Thanks Lenny,
The manual does not help:
●● Missed event: Set to turn on the service light when you have missed calls, messages, or notifications.
Doesnt say "Blue" anywhere so not exactly easy to find!
Paul
It's blue for every app notification unless you have light flow installed so you'll have to work out which app is notifying you
Usually I've forgotten to read an email or text message though - annoying though when you can't track it down
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
Trying light flow as that does exactly what I require.
Thanks very much.
Paul
I use calendar snooze for my appointment reminders, and I set it to flash red for them.
I have been looking in Tasker if there is a setting there to turn reminders off while my 'night' setting is active. I also find them annoying during the night, but haven't been able to find a setting there yet. Anyone got any ideas?
what has to be done or there's an app that's already out, the led has to flash for a certain time and it turns off. constant flashing will piss people off and may possibly kill the battery

If you really think about it though, that flashing light probably consumes less battery then you having to turn on the screen to see if you have a new notification that you might have missed. Even if your screen is on for 5 seconds it is still waking up the phone and causing it time for it to fall back into sleep.
Hi, every one.
My ray has update to 4.0.4, but I have a problem in 4.0.4.
When my phone's screen turn off, and the phone receive a new message, the phone's notification LED can not turn on. If I change my phone back to 4.0.3 or lower, the notification LED is OK.
One thing which is worthy to mention is that if my phone's screen is turn on, although its screen is locked, when the phone receive a new message, the phone's notification LED will turn on and become green. If I ignore it untill the screen turn off, the notification LED will keep the green light.
When the phone have a Missed calls, the notification LED is OK although when the screen is turn off.
So, could you help me to solve this problem
Thanks very much.
It's a known issue. Haven't read of any fix for that on the forum.

Thanks a lot ,I got it ,it works fine...
I am using RayOnium v.6.2 with Sirkay and my LED is working well, maybe CyberNeo fixed this in his ROM.
Okay, new to this forum, but not new to using Androids. Flashed JellyBeans B11, turned on AOSP Lockscreen (Ripple & Ink Effect unchecked) and it froze. I have figured out the problem, it is the app Light Flow causing it to freeze. The only thing I use Light Flow for is SMS, MMS, and Email. I cannot figure out how to fix this problem, so..
Has anybody else had this problem and fixed it? Thanks!

I switched to light manager for awhile and it worked good. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=light+manager
Now I just use the LED control that's built in.
Light Manager is a decent alternative for now. Prefer Light Flow due to way more notification options, so I will continue to try to get it to work, thanks though!
Hello
Ive seen a Huawei Ascend G630 that a friend has and he told me that the notification light when receiving WhatsApp messages does not work. The light is green by WhatsApp configuration.
How can I test the notification light is working correctly? When charging, it does light up.

I have Huawei Acend G630,and I have issue with LED indicator, its only on when charging or when the battery is low..its off for notification,I tried many apps to test it and its not blinking.
My friend have a same phone (just white edition, mine is black) and his LED indicator is blinking on notification.
HELP me,what to do,I had a BlackBerry, and i get used to led indicator,i want it to work on my g630
I'm not sure if this is the same as your problem, but my old phone only had blue and red LEDs, so setting the light color to green would result in nothing. If changing the color doesn't fix it, then I don't really know what the issue is, but you could try using an app such as Light Manager to test out the light.
Tried
Tried with that app and no light works when testing..... maybe a update???
SOLVED!
Install "Notification light widget" from google play store.
Add widget on homescreen and just tap on it.

Its said for motorola but for me its worked on Huawei.
Try to make a new google account, its possible that notifications are turned off on google settings from your smartphone that you had before G630.
First what I've did is creating new google acc and installed NLWidget and LED its work!

OK, on usual devices, just drag your application to the app info icon and when it opens, on the top left corner just below the app name you can toggle on/off notifications. Please let me know if this works.

Well making a new Google Account for this doesn't make sense. Also, the person before had the same Google Account on another phone and the notifications were lit up perfectly on the person's previous phone. Anyways, I DOUBT this has ANYTHING to do with, for example, WhatsApp, notifications.

It sounds odd because by defect it IS activated so why would it be deactivated? Also, with the widget and the light manager app it does not light up either.
There was to be some strange software bug in MIUI playing up here.

The glitch is a side effect of restoring from your Google account to the phone, which is part of the setup process for the phone. The feature downloads apps and settings from the cloud, which is usually a good thing. But in some instances it can tell the phone to restore the notification LED setting from another phone, leaving the light disabled with no way to re-enable it.
Fortunately there's a simple fix for this issue, and it's one that apparently applies to Motorola and some other phones too...
Motorola has released a widget that lets you toggle the notification light on and off, so if you're affected by this bug simply download it, place it on a home screen and toggle it on. After that you can remove the widget and your notification light will continue to work.
I dont know why but this bug comes with old google acc.
My LED was dead(it was on only on charging and batery low,not for notification),and I did factory reset, create new google acc. installed Notification light widget, and LED started to work, then I installed a Light manager for editing colours for notification.
Strange but black G630 have this bug, white G630 LED works perfectly.

Is the widget for activating it when you receive a notification? I might have been doing something stupid as in just toggleing on and off without doinging something.
Im going to turn it on using the widget and then send a WhatsApp to that person and see if it works.

Creating a new Google Account is a overkill and completely out of the question. At most, in the Google account, there has to be a setting to receive notifications. But even then, notifications are received perfectly; It just the light that doesn't turn on!
