Pc companion is a different program than it. It should of installed it on your computer when you plug in the usb cable.
If not you can download it from the sony ericsson website for free, very easy

It had said no SOFTWARE Update avaliablle.....
Then I clicked Re-install and the size of the reinstallation is 161mb...is it 2.1?

It's much faster now. Exiting games is also very fast and gaming performance is also improved. All of my apps are working perfectly

I am on .564, yesterday my phone showed me that I have new software update but it was .162
Today, I checked it once more time and it shows me .184 software update is available.

Edit: don´t see any major improvments. No prob with network. The sound is still the same crap.
I didn't notice any significant changes once I upgraded, but it seems this made the phone "compatible" with a lot more apps on Google Play, such as 9MM. It wouldn't let me purchase it before.

Not to sure because I had to factory reset to get mine to work. Then it came back as market, but easily upgraded to Play Store. Or you can use condi's AIO tool to install a 'black market' Play Store.

Are your drivers all installed properly? I had to go and install mine because Device Manager showed my tablet wasn't recognized properly. Not sure if it's related.

From reading many, many, many threads on vpnfaker and xperia, etc, I have tried the automatic and not manual, have not been able to get it work. However, it does appear from various forum threads others have. I am not sure what the missing key is for mine though. Going to wait a little longer and see if the automated way gets a few more updates and try again.
