Is anyone familiar with the applanet apk file. If so I was just wondering has anyone gotten it to work flawlessly because mines works about 20% of the time.

This app promotes piracy. I'd submit that it's probably even against the rules here. The permissions it requires to install are very suspect. You already get a 24-hour trial period. Most apps aren't that expensive, why not support the devs if you like the software?
The app indeed promotes piracy (warez) which is not allowed on XDA. Thread closed.

I know I check daily, I see threads created on here, and my twitter timeline is slammed with it... might as well have an official spot to check.
I am no longer going to keep updating the OP. Please just post the new apps like you have been doing, no need to duplicate efforts.
You can check this link also:
AMAZON FREE APP OF THE DAY
And, if you are on Twitter, around 4AM EST @AmazonAppStore will tweet the free app. THis is how I check now.

I will try and update the OP every morning, or people can check the last posts if I neglect it due to my schedule. I will start tomorrow since we have a thread already thanks to shreddintyres today.

this is a great idea, will save alot of clutter on the forums
Only thing keeping me do these apps from here is that even though its free, it requires you to create an Amazon account and that includes putting in your CC information. Could have problems with that.

OP updated, Weather Bug Elite today
Thoughts on Weather Bug Elite? has mixed reviews on Amazon.
I love Weatherbug elite. Its a great all around weather app with your basic weather info along with animated radar, live cams, I use it everyday

Yeah, I remember liking the free version... no clue why the comments are SO negative... doesn't make sense to me.
I've had the elite version for a long time now, maybe a year or so? I like the widgets and the additional features are nice. And if this is free I would download it just to try it if you haven't yet

04/04/11 App of the Day: Angry Birds Rio (Ad-Free)....again
now we get to see if all the apps will cycle through again.
I think it's only that app since angry birds is so popular. I'm sure tomorrow there will be a new app.

is it considered warez if you guys post the .apk of the free add of the day then just remove it when it's done.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I'm not sure if XDA rules cover this, but I think the best practice would be to NOT post the .apk of a paid app, regardless if it's free today.
It's not really free, it's like a discount. Also the apk needs your Amazon account to work. The app is connected to who ever bought it. So it won't work on anyother phone unless its cracked.

that place isnt discussed here. if you want apps, try to regular market and buy them. continued discussion may lead to you getting banned. just a fyi
So, you can afford to own a smartphone but not a couple of dollars to buy some apps legally and support the developers? Do you go to 7-11 and steal soda as well?

Ok, I may get banned for posting this, but anyway. If you go to market.android.com, you can find literally hundreds of thousands of free apps and games. Hurry before they get taken down.
4shared.com lets you download apps without a google account. Check it out OP.
Thanks guys
Mod. Pls delete this post. Thanks

Hello all,
Just wondering what some of you use to post replies or new posts via your android phone? Is there an app on the market that will allow me to log into forums that I visit and easily browse and post to threads? This forum is certainly one of them I would like easy access to from my phone. Any apps or suggestions instead of actually browsing the site via the web browser?
I see an app called tapatalk that appears to work but don't know much about it and is not free. Don't want to purchase it if it will not work.
I see xda has a market app for this but scared to install based on the comments I see from users.
Any suggestions are appreciated!
Thank you,
--mike
Just buy xda premium on the market, works perfect on my epic 4g, ignore the comments, should have no problems unless ur phone is new and not supported, you can always download the free xda to test it out

Thank you for the reply.
I have a new phone released but I think it will work. Will give it a try.
Do you or does anyone know of an app that allows you to connect to a number of different forums? For example, an app that supports vbulliten, phpbb, etc.
Thanks again,
--mike
Or you can get tapatalk which is an app that works on thousands of forums including xda. Its free on getjar.com but paid for on android market. I use it on a few forums and its great

Thank you all. I was about to buy tapatalk until you mentioned getjar. Surprised to find it free here. Awesome app!

I was wondering if anyone has a Pandora .apk file enables unlimited skips, disables advertises and supports AVRCP. Thanks in advance.
I thought Pandora was closed-source. Chances of finding this are slim. I, however, would definitely be interested in this... if it exists.

it exists. can not share it here though since its technically illegal. I don't think I can even share keywords for how to find it.
keep looking.

Why did you even post anything if you shared nothing. Last time I checked keywords have not been licensed.

We do not do "cracked" stuff like that here at XDA, "taking away" code that deprives developers of ad revenue, or revenue of any type that pays for their efforts in developing things is not what XDA is for.
Ok. This isn't something that happens to me and not being able to correct a mistake is also something that doesn't happen. So here I go...
There is a closed thread down there involving how to get a hotspot to work. In the thread there was a comment explaining how the link inserted was to a paid app and he didn't understand why it was there. In his vague post I assumed he didn't want to pay; hence my comment after. I was unaware that the link was indeed a link to an already paid for app: confirmed by Google play. I am not one that touts downloading or accepting pirated anything: songs, software, anything that takes money from developers, musicians, etc. When I realized my error of downloading and accepting that software...which by the way does work, so support that developer...I uninstalled it and went to play and bought it. I just felt I needed to post this because I felt bad after the other thread was closed. I buy everything I use. Whether it comes to books, magazines, games, apps...I pay because I feel whoever created what I'm using should be compensated. I don't support piracy...and never will. If you made it to the end of this thank you for holding out.

Apology accepted...please, do not use these threads for this though, really not anything to do with development. :highfive:
