soo let me guess? once you add 1.6 compatibility, can i just flash a generic 1.6 firmware to my AT&T Xperia? and will i be able to downgrade from 2.1 to 1.6 as well?
can't download flashtool...
I just get flash my x10 today, the prograam in x10 is all work fine, but i can't get connetion to internet... maybe i doing wrong?

Hey, guys I am already debranded (x10a).. but if I use this flashtool to upgrade to 2.1, which I know converts it to X10i .. will I be able to get future updates from SEUS?

Hey guys! Well, I came from an Epic to this so I guess its both a phone change and a cdma to gsm change Im having a problem with. Can i flash an X10i baseband on my X10a, so that i can use some ROMs that require basebands that say theyre for X10i in the baseband Collection post? Thats my major question.

Guy! whatsup? i bought an x10 at japan and i plan to root it and flash things. However is the rooting process available not only in american versions of x10? pls answer i need it!
I think there will be no problem with rooting Your phone. Same for America , Europe etc.
What is your baseband and firmware? Please tell us so we can recommend some good ROMS for you.
Then I will give some links of how to root your phone.

my baseband is probbly the latest i cant see because im at work and i left phone at my house its firmware is 2.1update1 thanks for the help gusy! really appreciate it! is it okay to flash roms normally sing xrecovery beacaause the phone has a splashscreen of ntt docomo? maybe any system probs when i root or flash?

You need to use flashtool to debrand the phone by flashing the 2.1 generic firmware. Do you need links for help to how to use flashtool?

It should be in the flashtool link. When I get to a computer I will see.
It is there, which X10 model do you have, a or i? Pick the one according to the model you have. And the firmware should be the .435 firmware. I will edit the post if the firmware number is wrong.

heres more info about my x10
model is SO-01B
baseband is 2.0.52
build number:2.0.1.B.0.19
so which rom do you want? There is a few with the .52 baseband. If you want a rom with a .54 baseband, we must use flashtool to get that.
do you have any roms you are thinking of flashing?
Once we figure that out, you can root the phone with flashtool and I will help you out with the rom you want to flash

No need now using TW007 awesome arcish look and very fast but the DT is somewhat unstable. i did not flash the dt. using x10's normal dt. its a bit unstable like the desires dt

hey guys, ive got an xperia x10, its currently on android 2.1 update 1. i wanna put the best rom on it, and i wanna know if it is worth rooting it or sticking to the latest official android update on it.
some advice is appreciated, which is the best rom and why, im looking for speed, games, and i will probably be using live wallpapers. i like good looking roms too.

Try them and see if its stable for you.
I would advise anyone to unlock their bootloader, is as easy as rooting now...just have to make sure you can read instructions to be safe
most stable rom=stock 2.3.3
Check the stickies and try em.

No, i dont "think" (could be wrong) that you can flash offical SE firmware without pc..
Why not flash wolfs 7.0?
Using it for almost a month & didnt found any bugs

I'd say stock 2.3.3,but it lags as hell..
i have tried few roms here,they mostly excel in perfomance but lack in one or more other thing,
So, i suggest stock 2.3.3,uncapped fps and Bravia engine unlock by zdzihu and Stock SE Theme w/ notification widgets&reboot mod plus roboto fonts....looks good and it's gonna fly
Stock 2.3.3 ROM and Wolf Break's Stock based 2.3.3 ROM (WB7b6) were the most stables ones I found so far!
Agree with gregbradley, the best way to find out the stable ROM for you is by trying them out!
