i need a uk generic firmware rom if anyone can help?
i dont think its out yet. but i could b wrong. Use seus to see if u can upgreade or just wait till they release it or upgrade using nordic 2.1 rom

It's not yet out - best you can do for now is put the WORLD Generic on and then switch to UK when it comes out..

I got SGA with S5830BUKA7 Vodafone provider firmware. I went to samfirmware to get Gingerbread FW to update it and got confused with the following:
First check your firmware via our SamFIT and make sure you always use firmware files from your own region to prevent problems.
Does that means that I can only use S5830BUKC2 which is the latest FW from Vodafone?? Can i flash this phone with S5830XXKPH??
I am sorry if there is already an answer to this question in the forums, but i couldn't find it.

same here, i m frm india and flashed with kph which is european version, and everything is wrking fine..

but you have to register to download(sorry dont have time to do it)(also dont know if it is 2.3.3 or not)
Why do you need it?
you can also flash other 2.3.3 firmwares. They will work

Hi, my friend wants to update his sgs2 gingerbread 2.3 to the latest ICS version. The problem is that his phone is branded to the carrie PERSONAL, and i was thinking if he could update to a unbranded ics rom or i have to update to the branded version

flashing stock ics firmware ( branded or unbranded) does not require root ma8
root is required only when u want to run some Root access apps or if u want to install a Custom Rom or kernel to ur phone

we don't have a generic fw yet....so we have to wait...
also sony doesn't provide any gaurantee of releasing this firmware....coz its long tym after the fw got certified..on ptcrb

i think they won't relase generic version..
but u can try Team italy here or here
and i think no big diff u just remove a bloatware ..

i'm using tim's fw but a there is a lot of waste programs :/
Im looking for a generic fw too, but for now you can try the debranded 89clean.zip that i made..
Its .89 just without the "tim's" branding, i tried to make is as generic as i can..
edit: its a ZIP for flashing with CWM
I use the tim italy removed programs with root and titanium and now this very good
can anyone please get me links to Xperia Mini {St15i} Latest ICS firmware for Asia . and i do have downloaded the firmware which says the Branding as Central Europe .. will that be a problem for me in India. ?

You should flash kernel by flashtool, try searching on Google to get more details.
And Flash Rom using cwm
