Anyone else having this problem? When i try i get a force close. I tried on 3g and 4g, same thing.
That's the error message you would get running the pirated app. If you buy it you should not get that error.

Did you pay for it? If it's not a legit copy, you can't download any skins.

I bought it for my Droid as well. I'm afraid if I had an HTC phone I wouldn't have spent the money on a widget I already had since the HTC weather widget looks the same but I'm glad I did. The Beautiful Widgets widget is much better.
the htc weather widget definitely has better animation than Beautiful Widgets, but i prefer the variety of skins of Beautiful Widgets.

Don't fancy it up. They sell it outside of the market through a link on their website. Pay for it and support a good product instead of stealing.

Can't call it stealing when you pay for the other site that has all the pirated apps, lol. Just my 2 cents. Figured I would actually be able to use all the apps from the site since I'm paying to use all the paid apps. I guess I learned a valuable lesson though.

How exactly would that work with updates and skins since i cant get to paid apps through my market , don't get me wrong i allready bought most pf the apps i liled that i could like launcher pro for example , paid apps in market i cannot even see so how would i update it.
Oh and i just checked the site funny enough widget is buyable outside of the maket through 3rd party seller for allmost double the price, now i payed for my device same price as ppl that have full market functionality why should i then pay more for apps ....even if its only 2 dollar more i simply refuse out of principle. Since i am android user and im not given full acess to features i payed for when i bought my mobile phone i have bsolutely no moral issues with "stealing" that software. And instead of preaching me stuff more ppl could complain about market not beeing available to all so google would move their ass and deliver . It would be beneficial for everyone afterall , both programers that put the effort and endconsumer that buys it.
Coming to Amazon in the next two weeks. Will be a "free app of the day" on the day it is released:

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks for the heads up, bud! I've been waiting for PvZ to hit Android for ages. Quite frankly, I'm surprised it took them this long to get it out, considering how much money the title has made across all of the platforms (I know I have it on PC and iPod). Can't wait...plus it's free, you can't beat that!

I tend to skip a lot of the offerings, but I've gotten some great stuff because of FAOTD... stuff like Beautiful Widgets Pro, Business Calendar, and tons of awesome games I wouldn't otherwise have gotten (Grisly Manor, Pool Break Pro, Air Control...).
this is really awesome!

I used to get apps through appbrain market/fast web installer. You may want to try to get the region changing app through it.
What app should this be?
It's an american nook, with an american rom. So it should be Region America.
I have read that Amazon is checking the ip adress.
The only solution wold be a working orbot.
Happy happy joy joy
I'm a free app junkie as well... plus a plants vs zombies junkie. I put it away after I earned all of the achievements on the Steam version. Looks like I have to earn them all on the Android version now.
Happy happy joy joy!
This is sweet, I've been waiting for PvZ for Android system. Can't wait to get it
There's been a chinese version bouncing around but it has a tendency to crash, not to mention not looking particularly spectacular.
Gotta love Amazon's free app a day. I've been looking for a replacement for stock's Aces Bubble Popper app and today it's free on Amazon
Is there a list somewhere of what's coming up as a free app, or is it a surprise every day? (was hoping it was like their previewable goldbox Today's Deals for regular merch)

I think it's a suprise, to keep you checking in. This morning I literally launched the Amazon App Store as soon as I woke up, LOL!
How can I download from Amazon's store ?
I've downloaded and installed store.apk of Amazon , but when I click on "get app" , It annouced "...not for your region" .
May 30th and still no PvZ. It would have been nice if it came out today. Could have spent Memorial day playing. Man am I gonna be tickednif its not out tomorrow.
Well, it's out. It is tablet optimized. Runs great under CM7 (Phiremod).
(edit: according to the official description, PvZ is not tablet optimized. Still, you'd never guess that from playing it. Looks and plays great on a Nook Color. Like it was written for the platform)
ooh yeah, PvZ on my nook is nice, it being free makes it so much better!
Read this on the Portal guys.
It does not give you free access to Hulu Plus. You still need a Hulu Plus subscription. Obviously you also need either wifi or a data plan.

how good is the quality of hulu+ and whats their content like, I've been thinking of subscribing for sometime now, but I still have on demand on my TV which is HD, most network shows for free, but it would be nice to get some showtime and HBO shows. Do they include a good selection of movies?

Unless you're in USA and you got to get the 4G LTE version with Snapdragon S4.
Or order it online and get international version with Exynos.
I'd say both are equally useless.

I'm skeptical:
If I want to make fun of my friends with their i**** I say "ask siri what the weather is like in fuerteventura"
If the iSheep does, siri answers after an eternity "I don't know"
an eternity later it she says "Shall I look for you on the internet?"
if you say "yes", you end up with a picture of the island.
Then I take my SGS2, say "weather fuerteventura" in google voice search and seconds later the brower opens with the usual weather graphic.
The iSheeps say it's because it's the german version of siri. But I say BS!
We'll see....
Watching someone trying to get siri to work in a noisy cafe or street is very amusing, they look like such idiots.
They would rather spend 5 minutes trying to get the stupid phone to understand them than actually do it themselves in 5 seconds by tapping the screen a few times.

S-voice does much worse in that video "The joker are taking a fat?" although, of course, this is only the english version.
Thing is, though, as others have pointed out, both do pretty badly in real life. Voice commands are little more than a marketing gimmick right now, good only for performing basic tasks or showing off. Indeed, there's a class action lawsuit on Siri for being portrayed as more effective than she really is.
S-voice and Siri both works exactly same kind. But S3 has more advance features than iPhone 4S. So for now S3 is better, but iPhone 5 will come that can change the whole phone market.
Iphone 5 will come out and disenfranchise all the fanboys because the apple snake no longer has its spiritual head ruling the design process with an iron fist.
We will see i guess, totally not expecting magic though.

So S-voice requires a data connection as well? It'd be bad
I read somewhere that you can take a shot with S-voice: it could be fun and useful. It replaces a remote control if it properly works!

I actually look forward to this too, but I'm going to make the snooze function react to the word "poopypants", because wouldn't that just be great? With the SGS3, "poopypants" can be the first word you say every day, setting the tone for the rest of your day AND annoying the hell out of the wife after a while as an added bonus!
On another thread someone has already confirmed it does nothing without a connection even when its a local request like opening an app.
As to voice control I like it when it can go directly to something that would otherwise take multiple clicks or drilling into menus. Like in my car I can push one button and say "play the Rolling Stones" and it gets it every time. Nice and easy, no drilling into menus, no muss, no fuss. I could also say "temperature, 72 degrees" and it will turn the temp up to 72 but I never do. Its easier to just reach over and spin the knob. The same would be true of the phone. Rather than open the player, scroll to the music, select it, it would be a saving to just name that band and have it playing. On the other hand I'm not sure why I would ask for the weather when I can just tap the screen once and I got it.
there both crap
Like 75% of people who will own this phone, I will never use the voice features, they have always been bad, and I have never been able to find a use for it.
Your voice recognition is bad, and you should feel bad.
I would use it casual, but not professional. ONly to impress friends ;p
Just ran across this, looks promising. We'll see what happens.

Hate to slam this, but there are like 100 Siri clones in the market.
Some are pretty good.
And didn't google hire the Siri developer from Apple last year?
Moving this to the right section......themes and APPS....

Sorry about that Slaughter, it was late. Check it out . We currently have nothing even close. This guy seem to be on the right track for sure. Did you take the time to fully read the guys credentials & watch the demo. Seem like this thing is a lot more sophisticated than anything out there now, i like it. Maybe Google will buy him out. One can only hope. Would love to see Apple get blown out of the water. This post wont get any coverage back here any chance of moving it back ?

i skimmed it...still there are a few apps in the market that do a ton if not all of what siri can do right now...
as for moving it back, im going to have to deny that as it doesn't make sense to put it up in general when its app related and doesn't really warrant the need to get huge coverage at this point anyway...If this thing starts to gain traction or become some kind of big huge event then maybe...
but for now app/theme talk is what belongs in this forum, so itll stay here in the mean time...

Judging from the video, this software is way more intuitive than any of the current voice apps. I'm using Speaktoit Assistant and Vlingo right now and they work pretty good, but you have to learn what to say to get it to do what you want.
In this video, the software seems to actually "know" what you mean and what you might mean and convey it back to you in a true conversational tone. In addition, it can differentiate between your "message" and "command" words intutitively.
Looks pretty impressive to me compared to what's currently out there. This seems to be actual AI instead of pattern or keyword recognition used in Vlingo or Speaktoit.
I'm in.

Yeah, I prefer Assistant by speaktoit for Jeanine type functionality. It works pretty well conversationally.
I can't remember why Jeanine didn't work that well for me. Not sure if you watched the SILVIA video or not but it appears to be much more intelligent with seemingly highly advanced memory and cognition.

I donated $20. Figured why not, I like the fact that it let him build on the outgoing SMS. Wish it would have shown up the message it sent, to see how good it was at putting his words down. Whenever I use a assistant app it always gets a extra work in their -_-
So when you make the $20.00 donation, you'll receive the app when est. release? Or do you get it now, then updates?
