Hi folks,
Searched for this, but found topics for Android only...
Is there a way/app/setting/hack to change the default screen resolution/density?
On Android, you can change screen density (by app and mod) and I like the feel of a 'higher resolution' like 180 on Android.
Anyone got an idea on how to do that on winmo?
Thanks!

Hi, I am new to Android. I bought Galaxy S2 y'day. when the phone is locked, i have a wallpaper(image) and i have slide to unlock it.
In the other android phones in the stores i have seen a lock screen with slider (like the iPhone one) How can i get them?
Also where can i find good themes for Galaxy S II?
Thanks for your support
The S2 has Samsungs own lockscreen instead of the default android one (The slider). Give it time and someone will probably port it. Also the 'Themes and Apps' sub-forum might be a good start for some themes
You can get using widgetlocker. You have to pay for it but it is way better than the default lockscreen
Thank you guys. I will wait This is my first android phone. hence curious to learn/do all sort of things
beginners enthusiasm
I have posted a simular thread concerning the lock screen and would also love an aftermarket lock screen to replace the default one

Hello everybody,
One week after I got my SGS2 I realized that the screen is way too big for this resolution (480x800). So I started playing with some screen density changer applications from market. Everything worked well, as I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275768 . But, I had some problems with the Market (couldn't download the most important applications) after I changed my screen's DPI.
Recently I found a software in market (LCD Denisty Modder) which in the Pro version offers you a fix for downloading applications from Market.
Ok, my question is : What if we change the screen density with the one on the Samsung Galaxy Note, and we use a Galaxy Note system dump to get the TouchWiz widgets. Could it work?
It would be nice to see some Galaxy Note wanna-be ROMs and believe me, after you use a lower DPI, you don't wanna come back to the stock density.
What do you think?

There's a limit by how much you change the ppi on the phone. I'm not sure why you'd want some touchwiz widgets from the Note
Well I got myself an Epic 4G (OG) with AOKP/CM7/CM9 and a Chinese ICS tablet (I am a Chinese high school student myself...) so I'm easily fascinated by the tablet UI of ICS. Apart from that, once I testdrived CM7 on my tablet and the Honeycomb-style softkey really enlightened me...
So today I was wandering the net and came up with this:
rootzw i ki. com/topi c/20451-mod -9-roms-table t-mode/ [REMOVE SPACES - THE FORUM WON'T LET ME PUT LINKS...]
Well, there's support for tablet UI mod for 9 different ICS roms inside for Galaxy Nexus...
But then look at the version required - it seems that the packs are not just modded for a specific phone, a specific ROM but also for a specific version... So it's kinda useless to me... Tried more search and returned no more results except that someone mentioned that some mods could be done in /res/values/bools.xml of framework-res.apk (I'm no total noob and I know how)...
So question is, is there really a way as detailed as modding DPIs and framework-res.apk to enable tablet mode on ICS? To make it further, is it available for Gingerbread?(i.e. putting FULL CM7 Tablet Tweaks on ALL phones without compiling a new ROM) And for tablets, any way to disable tablet UI as well? (My tablet HAS capacitive keys designed for portrait use like a Galaxy Tab P1000 so I would like to disable Tablet UI for it)
EDIT: Modding DPI only doesn't seem to do it at least on my tablet - DPI from 120 to 240 but results are only bigger nav bar and buttons...
Bump... sinks so fast
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a modded market that can handle some not standard DPI (like 280). In the current state, every app I want to download are marked "not compatible".
Did someone, get a workaround ? I have already try LCD density modder PRO but it cause a lot of FC with JB roms.
Got my Answer for evryone who need a fix try this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1839871
It worked for me
hi there,
wondering if there is any rom/app/hack that got this function,
I think a lot of people are also interested in this kind of lockscreen.
Does anyone know if you can use this function in combination with the multi-user android?
