I flashed my Xperia X10mini few days ago with new Android 2.1 using the DaVinci-Service. There are 2 Apps (Chinese Keyboard & VIVAnews) included. I uninstalled both of them, but everytime i do a reboot, they are back. How can i get rid of them? They are really big. Both Apps take away about 15MB from my memory.
I tried rooting my X10mini and uninstall them with Titanium, but they always come back.
Please help, thanks
I already sent a mail to their customer-service, but maybe someone can help too
Edit: That's the FW i use: E10i 2.0.A.0.504 0001 CUSTOMIZED WORLD-1-8

Hi guys,
Yesterday I updated my X10 mini PRO to Android 2.1 via regular SEUS (Claro carrier from Brazil). Everything went just fine.
Not a surprise, Google Talk is not installed by default and not available in the Market (same as in Android 1.6). So I installed APKtor and downloaded Google Talk version 1.3 (latest version available from Google).
The point is, Google Talk just does not work. When I tap its icon, it seems to start loading then it hangs (I get that "Force Close" message). It worked just fine this way (downloaded from APKtor) back in 1.6.
Anyone else seeing this? Maybe it's blocked by Claro? If so is there any way to debrand X10 mini PRO with 2.1 already?
Thanks!

Knudsen, thanks for the tip but there was no such app installed... Claro is really blocking their users to run this app (maybe because high amount of data usage?).
Anyway I ended up by flashing the generic UK firmware, now I can use Google Talk perfectly and I am rid of all Claro crap.
Now let me see if the battery drain issue is also gone
Cya!
If you use gtalk for more than 3 hrs , the maximum data transfer will be around 3 MB ... so thats not the problem
My problem is worse. I have samsung galaxy S with android 2.1 update1 and the gtalk will just not open. it blinks and disappears again. clearing cache and all that has not helped me. Help please

Hi, I want to see how Mediascape runs in Android 2.3.3, but I wanted to know if it it's possible to get the app from an X10 so I can install it on my X10 running 2.3.3. In case I can, do I need to root?
Thanks in advance.
I think that's not possible. is between 2.1 and 2.3.3 to the consuming
Wolfbreak say this on his WB-XPERIA TW Gingerbread Thread.

Sry but SE dumped Mediascape in 2.1 becouse it needs to much Time for OS Upgrades becouse porting Mediascape to newer Android Versions is critical and a longtime Process even for SE so i think theres no way to get it in 2.3, sorry!

Hi everyone,
i tried several roms from slade, paul, etc. but everytime i come back to stock rom because of some (tiny but annoying) bugs. I didn't like the blue SE theme with the corners and also the semc* apps from the start. now i'm searching for the original android 2.1 rom with all standard apps (calendar, browser, conversations, flashlight, etc). i just found pfonck's clean rom, but it's SE theme's anyway and with most custom roms i don't get proper connection to edge+umts (takes minutes till phone finds network or i have to push search manually).
maybe someone knows how to fix this issue. SE stock rom seems to have some app to download all necessary settings for connections (setup wizard), custom roms don't.
now i'm back at stock rom again, trying to customize on my own.
where do i get standard apps from google?
Edit: whoops, was pointing you to pfonck's ROM...my bad.

Hi guys,
(sorry if my words aren't clear, please tell me if any of what I say isn't undestandabble)
Yesterday I installed FeraLabs ICS v2.2 ROM in my x10a. Great ROM, I fell in love with android 4 and cyanogemod, it was my first contact with both. But I had some problems using it, some apps not working, others freezing the entire system, can't send SMS etc. I know that probably most of these bugs already have fixes, the ROM is being developed etc, but I decided that it's not for me yet, this is my main phone and I need it rock solid for day to day use.
So I decided to try some GB rom. But there are a lot of ROMs out there, and I couldn't find a thread answering what's the best for my case, so I'm gonna ask fro suggestions. =D
Here's what I need:
- A stable ROM, fully compatible with my x10a;
- Based on cyanogemod;
- If possible, faster than stock 2.3 ROM;
- If possible, less power-consuming than stock 2.3 ROM, but it's the least important feature (got a 3500mAh battery);
- I personnally don't like the Sony UI improvemments and general bloatwares. I like google default apps and UI. Also used a LG p500 for a year, liked a lot the LG punctual customizations;
- It can have bugs about video recording, I don't use it much;
- It can't have bugs with 3g, wifi, calling and texting (hehehe);
So, what flavors should I try?
Thank you all. ;D
Donut HD 2.2 it's faster than stock and cm and works perfect with good battery life 2

Hi,
Thanks for helping.
Looking at the instructions in the thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30999560&postcount=1167). Will it run OK with the feralabs kernel that is currently is installed in my system? Shouldn't I change hte kernel?
If yes, what kernel should I flash?
Hi guys,
I flashed doomkernel, booted to xRecovery, installed the doomkernel wifi module from zip, booted again to xRecovery, installed the donuthd, booted again, installed donuthd, booted to xRecovery and installed donuthd update.
It's really fast, I've never used and android this fast. I'm currently installing my apps, wanna see if it will keep great at night. =D
But I've seen a problem:
My sms messages aren't being delivered, just like happened with Feralabs ICS 2.2 rom. Anyone got this problem? Does this have some relation with my phone being a x10a (and now it's appearing in in my system settings as x10i) ?
Thanks in advance.
Hi again,
Today I cleaned up my phone and tried to install donutHD + doomkernel again. Everything worked ok, except sending and receiving SMS messages. So I flashed back 2.1 stock firmware and 2.3 (GB) stock firmware, and SMS sending/receiving worked fine again, in both versions.
Does anybody has any clue about what can be happening? When I installed donutHD (about 3 times), I was in 2.1 stock firmware, root/busybox/xrecovery from Flashtool (newest version). The same problem ocurred with the Feralabs ICS v2.2 ROM with feralabs kernel for ICS.
I also tried to flash the 2.3th kernel n5-1 (comming from 2.1 stock firmware), but it got frozen in SE screen, during boot. Even xrecovery couldn't open. =/

Problem solved: As observed I was upgrading from 2.1 stock ROM to DonutHD. Doing this upgrade coming from android 2.3 stock ROM, the SMS sending/receiving works like a charm. =D
