Hi,
does anybody know where the default fallback ringtone is saved?
If I select a song with musicpicker and then delete this file the phone falls back to a default "bbbbrr ...bbbrrr ...bbbrrr" tone, but in the menu is the sound "World from Dr. MAD" selected.
I want to select the fallback tone, I like it
nobody? perhaps someone with a rooted phone can find the soundfile?
I attached a mic-recording of the tone.
pleeease

many many thanks mate
Does anyone know where on the phone this ringtone is located? I've checked /system/media/audio/ringtones, alarms, notifications and ui folders but it isn't there.
Sorry for digging up the old thread.

Hello
I have upgrade my HD2 from 1.66 to 3.14 - stock european rom (danish). No extra's except Cookies hometab.
I have searched, and searched and found answers, but sadly they do not work here.
Issue: SMS Notification: SMS Sent successfully (translated)
I do not want it. And i cannot seem to turn it off.
I have looked into SMS -> Settings .... and there is no mark in the SMS Delivery Report (again my translation). Tried some registry changes found using google, and still the I get the notification.
So the question is: how to turn it off ? Is it possible ?
tia
mvh / best regards
I had the same issue, and I could disable it.
When you're in the settings tab, use the Menu soft key and click the Plus menu item (it should be the only one), to access the Windows Mobile (i.e. not Sense's) control panel.
From there, you should be able to navigate to (roughly translated, I use the French ROM) sounds and notifications(sounds and alerts ?), then navigate to the second tab. There is a drop down list where you can select the "SMS sent" notification, and then, uncheck all the boxes to stop notifications.
When this is done, just press OK at the top left corner of the screen to save the changes, and return to the manila (sense) UI.
I hope this solves your problem.

Hi and thank you.
I tried it, but no effect.
It is not a big issue - just a small annoying one
so I can live with it.

Guys from HTC will probably never make SMS working perfectly on HD2. Fixing one thing, break another. These annoying notifications happen because of a missing registry entry. Just add it manually:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Jataayu\Messaging]
"DisableSMSSuccess"=dword:00000001
Worked for me.

And for me as well. Thank you.
Perhaps something for Tips & Tricks ?
If you don´t want to mess with the registry there is a cab file that does it for you.
http://www.4shared.com/file/9eCnZJR4/SMS_zend_popup_uitschakelen.html
It´s in dutch but it works with any language.
I installed the cab to disable the "message sent" notification, but since then the sms conversation mode has stopped working. When I receive a message I can see it on the messages screen but when I tap it the screen opens with the top half of the screen blank, where the sender's message should be displayed. The bottom half of the screen shows the reply section with "Tap to add text".
Uninstalled the cab and soft reset but cannot get back the conversation mode. I seem to remember someone posting about a similiar issue with an earlier rom, but despite searching I can't find it.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help.
Edit: deleted all my messages and now conversation mode seems to be working again
Fix worked
This has really been bugging me since upgrading too..reg fix suggested works a treat with no ill side effects, thanks!
i created the registry key and it worked.
Thanks a lot!

i added the string manually and all ok
In some cases you need to set following value, too:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings]
"SMSNoSentMSG"=dword:00000001
Hi. Its a common problem. I called HTC Support and they said that is an error in this ROM upgrade. They still dont know if an upgrade will come to fix the proglem. It probably will. I had the same problem so I "Downgraded" the ROM to 1.66
Regards
Stefan

but all ok now!
Right now I am using the latest version of trigger, I don't have a tone for my dialer on key presses, I have a .ogg file in my /system/media/Audio/ui that is labeled as dialer tone or something like that. How do I make that tone and the dialer work together?
Edit: Ok, maybe I should be more specific, I checked the box in settings/sounds that allowed me to receive a tone, I just want to be able to change it, and maybe a couple of other tones on my phone.
Thanks in advance

There are many programs on the internet that will change mp3 or a sound bit to .ogg. Then rename it to dial.ogg or what ever you want to replace. Then just use root explore to puse it onto your phone
On my EVO and EVO Shift I could set the voice mail notification to "None" so that it did not make a noise EVERY time I got VM. However on my new 3D that option is missing and only allows me to change the sound, no option to turn it off.
I need help please! As my friends and family get really irritated at me when I turn VM off completely.
TIA

hmm, interesting. You're correct, I couldn't find a way to shut the sound off either. As you stated, there was no selection for 'none'. I was unable to find anything in the regular phone settings either. Perhaps you could use an app such as ring tone trimmer or something, and create a ringtone which is just silence, and then select that? I'll try that and see if it works, give me a few.

Okay, I got it to work. Download an app called 'ringdroid.' Then choose 'record new'. Use the sound recorder, and record 10 seconds or so of complete silence, then stop it. Then choose 'use this recording'. Then it brings you to a screen where you can edit the ringtone, but you don't need to do that. Just hit the save button. At that point, change the Type to Notification, instead of ringtone. Change the name to something like "silence" or whatever, and hit save. Then it'll ask you to make it the default notification sound, choose no. Then go back into your voicemail app, and go to the settings>notifications>select sound. Then look in the list, and the ringtone you made will be in there. Choose the silent ringtone you created, and you should be good to go.

Hello everybody, I wonder, if some of you know if is possible to assign a mp3, o a ringtone, for each contact in our phonebook in the MiniCM7 by paul, for mini pro. Since i tried this rom i have never could, but I want to know if it is a fact, I mean is impossible, or is just making some modifications in the setting I have no idea.
Thanks for your help...

Yep, just open the contact, press menu key (the left one) and go to the "options". Here you will find how to change the ringtone. Do not go to "edit contact"
Thank you so much....
I always was getting in edit contact, but nothing happened...
I thought it was because the rom... :S
And, this is for every terminal with Gingerbread, I mean, that is the way for editing the tone?
You were very helpful...!

You have to put your own sound into the Notifications folder on the internal storage sdcard. Than you are able to select the sound.

My phone is on charge so I can not confirm yet if it works on SGS3 but it is how it works on my SGS1:
-use file explorer to go to your internal SDcard
-if there is none, create a "Ringtones" folder
-put your custom ringtone in this folder
-go to your app settings and now your custom ringtones should appear in the list
My memory is not that good, so it could be "Notifications" instead of "Ringtones"...
Done it . . .
Need to copy what sound you want to notifactions folder in my files then go into the menu you said then its there
cheers anyway
