I just bought my phone last saturday with android 1.6 . I wonder why I can't get connected to the internet with all application in my phone. Even using browser, android market, facebook, gmail, youtube and all the apps built inside my phone. I already configured my internet phone setup from my network operator celcom in Malaysia but still, it won't work. It keeps saying 'THIS COULD BE A TEMPORARY PROBLEM OR YOUR SIMCARD MAY NOT BE PROVISIONED FOR DATA SERVICES. PLEASE TRY AGAIN WHEN YOU ARE CONNECTED. IF IT CONTINUES, CALL CUSTOMER CARE'. Please someone, I really need help here.
Edited : I've updated my phone to 2.1 but still I can't connect to the internet. Please someone, do me a favor.

Yesterday I have received a new phone - Motorola atrix 4g AT&T.
I still at all haven't received an unlock code, but i use it for internet surf. I was registered motoblur account. And i tried to download any free software from android market, but all what i see it's status bar - Starting downloading, and nothing more happens.
I'm going to main menu and tap on the GTalk( name on the screen "Talk") application, but this doesn't want to work, he said to me - Could not connect to server. Will retry shortly.
pls help me, i don't know what i need to do for get a working Gtalk, i have gmail account and i was recieved all my mails and contacts, i activate sync in Account menu.
I in shock, it my first phone on an android, and I can't normally use it.

Just to check, you re connected to wi-fi correct?
if yes then maybe try to add your gmail account again?
When I first received my atrix I had issues when trying to download apps. The wireless connection would cut out, but it would still look like it was trying to download. Try a reboot and see if that fixes the problem.
Yes, my wi-fi connections is correct, because i watched videos on youtube and surf in internet.
And i'm tried re enter gmail account, and nothing i create a new gmail account but the result hasn't changed.
I'm try to use this system code *#*#8255#*#* and i click "Send heartbeat to server" and was get error - "The application Talk(process com.google.android.talk) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

My phone is unlocked, and i have adjusted the Internet from the provider of communication. But it's not help to me
my wife has my old HERO (rooted custom rom etc) her own optus pre paid sim card etc.
i have a DESIRE new sim card , original gmail , google account etc
i setup my wifes own google account/gmail etc on the pc sighned in all good.
the problem:
all my gmail - youtube notifications are going to my wifes cell phone & mine ?
how do we stop this going to my wifes phone ?
we try to sign in on her cell phone to her account but it will not allow us - says your phone needs to communicate with google blah blah. then it says cant establish a reliable data connection to the server. ?
she has 500mb of data use available.
it's same as my prepaid & i don't have a problem with my account.
As the title says, I can't send or receive messages through these two apps, meaning there's a connection problem on my phone (it's a Galaxy S2 btw). Only when I am connected to a WI-FI I can properly use the program.
What should I look for and how do I solve this issue?

After multiple softphone application tries they all gave me the same problem:
Each one would require me to open an account on the app, which I want to avoid to do as there are costs.
Another disappointment is that a phone number is required and I do not have a carrier.
Second Failed Attempt: Internet telephone settings wizard not found (error message)
To make an internet call a valid SIM card must be inserted and the phone connected to a WLAN this gave me a problem as:
I do not have a carrier plan and intend on using the phone without one.
I followed the steps to attempt to activate the internet call with a WLAN connection and without a SIM, but I was blocked by this error message "Internet telephone settings wizard not found".
Knowing only the basics of SIP and VOIP, is there a way to make calls via the internet without a carrier(sim) account?

Hello mvikrant97Could you please explain the limits of my attempts.
I purchased the phone as a project, to see if I could play around and get to call without the use of a SIM. I have been teaching myself about telecommunications in general.
I would like to understand why not instead of why it is so... if you understand me.
