really... streaming dance music for your PDA?
Isn't that like buying a porche so you can take a hampster for a joyride?
rather than try to take a stab at you personally, i'll try to answer your question... You're at their mercy. They own the source so they'd have to release it. Maybe only possibility is to have an app that interfaced with their website? But don't know if thats possible.

FWIW beatport isn't really about streaming. Its for.purchasing tunes for djs to play. Having the ability to preview tunes before purchasing on the go is quite important to some.

I know this post is really old, but maybe It's interesting --> http://api.beatport.com/ they have an API for developers, and commercial use ""is possible""

They will probably declare bankruptcy soon but they do have a nice Netflix type deal which they let you rent both movies and games through the mail. I am interested in the game option since it appears to be cheaper than Gamefly or any of the other mail-rental game businesses.

lol... good Q... I think netflix shut them down... and stream what videos.. its 3g... at least on 4g the videos are HQ like u would see on wifi... on 3g its gona be blurry as a crap... so why would u pay money to watch a movie that will be chopped need buffering all the time and low quality?
the blockbuster app is coded to look for fascinate software, could be a simple build.prop edit but I doubt it. It looks for something that tells the app the phone is a fascinate. Disable the app to not look for a device i.d and it might work
the blockbuster app is overpriced crap. Just wait for MediaHub.
it's already in the market, anyone plays game like this?

very buggy, have to buy songs, Ans slow.
Will check of again later.
feeling generous? buy me some redbulls by clicking donate button!
there's a lot of free songs when you level up. but yeah it's really buggy and slow. good thing is the actual game is perfect.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
You don't even really have to level up to play a lot of the songs. Half of the free songs I downloaded say they will be unlocked at a certain level but it still let's me download and play them.
where do you see that?
I clicked on Music from the first screen. Browse by artist. Then when I find a song I like "click to download and play", some of the songs have said they would be unlocked at certain levels, I think one said level 20. Im only level 8 and I've been able to play every song so far without a hitch.
For instance: Necropolis by The Black Dahlia Murder says "Unlocks at level 9" but that was the first song I downloaded and played.
oh the bad thing is you don't know what songs is free unless you click them, and browsing songs is so slow. I might purchase the metallica 10 pack later.
Yeah and even worse, after checking the song, backing out puts you back to the top of the list.
hahaha! yeah right!
By installing some application you will be able to earn credits. 300credits= 6 songs of one artist. 100=2 songs. But not it's not applicable to all artist. Even if you uninstall the application the credits will be there.
Ahh I was wondering how much those were worth. What's the point of the coins then? Is that pretty much points youve earned or do you actually spend them on something?
I'm sure it's not for buying songs. Maybe for your avatar?
Nice.
10 characters.
I ended up playing TTR for 5 hrs last night and was late at work today.. @[email protected]
Has anyone on here been able too see the new movie rental option in the Market? Ive been reading about it, and ive got to say im interested. Although Im not if I might prefer a monthly flat rate fee like NetFlix. Google's cloud service is a definite advantage though. Sounds interesting, and I for one am glad there is another way to stream / download movies too our big screens.

I'll second that
i had not looked for it as i read that rooted devices were been blocked from using it.....?
Ya ive read tge gossip concerning rooted devices, but so far from what i read its still speculative. I hope its not true. Either way im pretty confident in the android dev community and their abilities to find a work around.

Its for 3.0 devices only for now

Those movies are 4 dollars to rent that kinds steep for one movie. I just added HBO to my cable and now I use that on my xoom and streak works great and I get more then one movie ffor the same price basicly.

I'm a music producer and Android loVA and I have suggestions 4 those like me.until Flstudio mobile gets ported the only hope we have is a little app called caustic
(get it from the market it's free)
If you haven't seen this thing move out of ur cave it's sweet as hell.
I personally use a few apps to make music:
tapemachine-sampler
Electrum drum machine-isn't it obvious
Caustic-sequencer/synth
All of these apps are very interoperable on a 1GHz chip or better although memory may be a factor as well.
I need a decent sample editor (not recorder)
That will enable me to "chop" up mp3 songs (ringdroid is a fluky alternative)
Maybe even a kontakt/fruity slicer-esque utility would do.once again these are suggestions any dev's reading please take it as consumer thoughts and opinions. Seeing that iOS caters more to the mobile musicians than Android I feel that this fact should brought into the light
Check out my Droid anthem.. http://snd.sc/ju3mAU ..I made it on my OG4G
Please share the song amongst our fellow nerds.
Feel free to post ur suggestions as well

****UPD8****
Just got SPC Music sketchpad and it has some kind of openSL audio interface that reduces L8-n-c and overall this is showing the progress bein made on the android platform. It can also sample and slice loops. This ****s on every music app out there with the exception if caustic. I'll be making music on my phone until I get another hard drive cuz my current one is acting fluky.
Or you can say "oh-gee!!!4G" how about "oji foji" for the Japanese variant (htc evo4g+)

Sounds interesting seeing I'm a DJ. And I tried to get your song but the link seems to be down :/
Sent from my double barrel Shooter. BANG!
Lol ''I'm an Android.'' Pretty sweet.
I need an app that can record the speaker but in the mean time a you tube downloaded would fulfill some needs but it's numerous ways to download songs for sample material

Maybe we should start at thread for musicians only

Hi, niko twenty here.
Actually I do have an app for chopping MP3's, it's called "Sonic Chop Sample Ripper"...it doesn't do a bunch of fancy stuff yet right now but it will chop and get the BPM's for you.

Niko you are the man. I'm buying this. And I use ur app Reloop as a miniDAW. As a customer I think it should be marketed as that. I know that latency is a pain so asking for a record button on each track is far fetched I guess?

It's so ridiculous. The milk app wasn't compatible with my N10.1-2014, but was compatible with my now defunct Asus To Prime.

All respect for the USA, but is the rest off the world not good enough?
this is not correct.
I can't post the way to fix this but there's a way, (2 ways that work) but I think it can be mod in the app itself.
will give it a try 4 sure

It is about licensing issues. To get around chasing up their own licensing deals they went through a company called Slacker (according to Engadget). Slacker is unavailable in my country (Australia) and so Samsung Milk is too. I believe Slacker is available in the UK but obviously I can't test this and frankly I'm too lazy to check. If that is the case you could reasonably expect Samsung to expand to the UK shortly if they make a deal with Slacker. Countries that don't have Slacker are probably in for a much longer wait.
Is it Samsung milk or coffee?

It's ad free "for a limited time" but it IS compatible with Viper4android... unlike the stock Samsung music app.
