Use Myphoneexplorer, connect with usb cable, turn on the debugging mode on the phone. And then use load screen on the Myphoneexplorer menu.
(you have to have adb installed too)

No you can`t!!!
In SE case you ALWAYS maust flash with PPC, SEUS or Flashtool.
Only when bootloader is cracked we`re able to install SE rom through xRecovery.
The only thing xRecovery allow in SE case is restore from a backup file...

Nope, how did we install the pre-rooted 2.02 firmware?!?
With xRecovery...
You just need the X10 Flasher if there's a new kernel, baseband etc to flash.

If you stay at 0.2 xRecovery.. you can copy it anywhere( if you can't remember the date of backup, rename it how you want)

if your phone is rooted you can do it with xrecovery
You can only apply dualtouch with USB or OTA.
It is not possible via xRecovery sorry.

Ota never tells me when an update is available but when I plug it into seus then low and behold an update exists! Still on stock android but rooted until a stable 2.2 or even 2.3 becomes available with everything working.e.g camera and camcorder.thanks for all the help.looks like an ebay order for a data cable is needed.

[Q] Anyone knows how to install the new 2.3?

I have an x10i that was an x10a(Not really sure what my phone is now), im running "Eclair Bitsnacker.com v2.6, BB 2.1.54, KV 2.6.29, Buuild number 2.1A,0.435"
Do anyone know how to update to 2.3? I want to run the CM7.
The link on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=927140, the MT enabler is dead and so as the gb_alpha_0008 is dead.
Use the GB by J from here
Just unpack the file, flash the baseband then flash the rom.

just FYI, your phone will always be X10a, it doesn't matter if it says X10i or x, it's whatever the Dev wrote. I changed mine to say 'denenatse' :-D

Hey, don't worry... The worse that can happen is that you lose your information... I know it sucks, but I think the only way to get it back to work again is to restore the phone's software...
If you have PC Companion installed in your computer all you have to do is turn off the phone (or remove the battery) and then run the PC companion software and clic on update/repair software... then plug your phone by pressing the back button and release the button until the led light turns green... then just follow the on-screen process... it's not that hard!
Let me know if this works out for you!
what do you do before that? and flashmod run or not because there is a siple solution if it run . flash a generic version or use seus but you loose all in your phone

Try flashing a gingerbread firmware using flashtool:
Enable usb debugging in settings
Download & install flashtool here: http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
Download a generic 2.3 build here (& put it in the firmware folder): http://www.multiupload.com/JEXUAHAZTL
Open flashtool, click on the flash icon , choose flashmode, select firmware & flash
Do you unlocked your bootloader? Do you flashed a new ROM??
