[Q] Motonav on 2.1 - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried to install Motonav on 2.1 and no success. Anyone managed to install it?
Cheers

It worked for me, but the graphics were messed up, so I switched to CoPilot which works great.

using version 8.4.2.11347 seems to be working fine on my X10i 2.1 world generic rooted phone
What graphical errors did you see Cinner and what version of motonav!?

works great for me

works for me too. Unrooted Xperia X10. Used content from Igo 8.3 with Motonav. Runs fine, no resolution problems of any kind.
Send me a PM, I'll send you the apk I used.

Android 2.1 + Google Talk issues

Hi guys,
Yesterday I updated my X10 mini PRO to Android 2.1 via regular SEUS (Claro carrier from Brazil). Everything went just fine.
Not a surprise, Google Talk is not installed by default and not available in the Market (same as in Android 1.6). So I installed APKtor and downloaded Google Talk version 1.3 (latest version available from Google).
The point is, Google Talk just does not work. When I tap its icon, it seems to start loading then it hangs (I get that "Force Close" message). It worked just fine this way (downloaded from APKtor) back in 1.6.
Anyone else seeing this? Maybe it's blocked by Claro? If so is there any way to debrand X10 mini PRO with 2.1 already?
Thanks!

Knudsen, thanks for the tip but there was no such app installed... Claro is really blocking their users to run this app (maybe because high amount of data usage?).
Anyway I ended up by flashing the generic UK firmware, now I can use Google Talk perfectly and I am rid of all Claro crap.
Now let me see if the battery drain issue is also gone
Cya!
If you use gtalk for more than 3 hrs , the maximum data transfer will be around 3 MB ... so thats not the problem
My problem is worse. I have samsung galaxy S with android 2.1 update1 and the gtalk will just not open. it blinks and disappears again. clearing cache and all that has not helped me. Help please

[Q] Voice control & WiFi Issues on 2.3.3

I updated an X10a yesterday from 2.1 to 2.3.3 generic originally for X10i
The flashing was OK and the OS is working fine, but there are some issues. The Wifi works from time to time, the voice control isn't working (I don't know if that's because I have to download it from Market or it's integrated).
What can I do?
If I would like to change the firmware, which one is working fine and you recommend?
Thanks,
PS: Is there any guide to give a lookout on the themes thing?
WiFi doesn't work with me either.. This problem was from the beginning of official 2.1.. my wifi can't support WPA/WPA2 host..
with the provided 2.2 ROM's here, it works like a charm, but now after the official update 2.3 it doesn't work any more

[Q] X10 Mini Pro, MiniCM7 Pro v21 and Parrot ck3000 problems

Hi everybody
I have a problem with Cyanogen MiniCM7Pro v21 ROM and my CK3000 evolution. They pair and connect, spearkes and microphone work, so I can talk with them, but buttons in the parrot don't work, I have to pick up and down calls pressing on the phone the screen.
Comment that before installing this ROM, with the latest original firmware (2.1) it worked perfectly. Parrot has the 5.25c firmware version (it has been installed a month ago) and I already tried to reset its memory and reconnect devices, but nothing works.
I suppose it is a problem in the ROM, but I am not sure about.
Could anybody help me?
Thanks
PD: Sorry about my english, it is not my natural language
hi. It worked for you on 2.1?
On MiniCM7 Pro there can be problems. Try SonyStyle

Hi Paul, sorry for answer so late, and thanks for the help.
With the original firmware 2.1 it worked perfect, and if I restore it with the CWM it works again.
Now I have installed your latest version of SonyStyle and the ck3000 still doesn't work right. Buttons don't work. The same as MiniCM7 Pro.
Is there any way to restore old bluetooth tools or something similar?
Well
A long time ago has this thread started, but I have some news.
Parrot ck3000 buttons are working (at least the red one). I don't know which one was the difference but they started to work this time, the last one I tried to instlall MiniCM7 Pro v21.
The only difference I found, maybe, is that this time I wiped every possible thing with the clockworkmod options and after installing the rom I restarted a couple of times the phone before synchronising it with the bluetooth. I don't know if it has been the thing to fix all.
I have to say that I tried to install several times this ROM and there were times that things did not work propertly, like the screen, and it was becaus I used xRecovery to install it and not CWM. But I am pretty sure that the last three times I tried to install it was with CWM and only the last one works with the handsfree.
That is all, I hope somebody else could find it useful.
Thanks for all, specially to Paul-xxx

[Q] Need help to choose GB ROM to my x10a [SOLVED]

Hi guys,
(sorry if my words aren't clear, please tell me if any of what I say isn't undestandabble)
Yesterday I installed FeraLabs ICS v2.2 ROM in my x10a. Great ROM, I fell in love with android 4 and cyanogemod, it was my first contact with both. But I had some problems using it, some apps not working, others freezing the entire system, can't send SMS etc. I know that probably most of these bugs already have fixes, the ROM is being developed etc, but I decided that it's not for me yet, this is my main phone and I need it rock solid for day to day use.
So I decided to try some GB rom. But there are a lot of ROMs out there, and I couldn't find a thread answering what's the best for my case, so I'm gonna ask fro suggestions. =D
Here's what I need:
- A stable ROM, fully compatible with my x10a;
- Based on cyanogemod;
- If possible, faster than stock 2.3 ROM;
- If possible, less power-consuming than stock 2.3 ROM, but it's the least important feature (got a 3500mAh battery);
- I personnally don't like the Sony UI improvemments and general bloatwares. I like google default apps and UI. Also used a LG p500 for a year, liked a lot the LG punctual customizations;
- It can have bugs about video recording, I don't use it much;
- It can't have bugs with 3g, wifi, calling and texting (hehehe);
So, what flavors should I try?
Thank you all. ;D
Donut HD 2.2 it's faster than stock and cm and works perfect with good battery life 2

Hi,
Thanks for helping.
Looking at the instructions in the thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30999560&postcount=1167). Will it run OK with the feralabs kernel that is currently is installed in my system? Shouldn't I change hte kernel?
If yes, what kernel should I flash?
Hi guys,
I flashed doomkernel, booted to xRecovery, installed the doomkernel wifi module from zip, booted again to xRecovery, installed the donuthd, booted again, installed donuthd, booted to xRecovery and installed donuthd update.
It's really fast, I've never used and android this fast. I'm currently installing my apps, wanna see if it will keep great at night. =D
But I've seen a problem:
My sms messages aren't being delivered, just like happened with Feralabs ICS 2.2 rom. Anyone got this problem? Does this have some relation with my phone being a x10a (and now it's appearing in in my system settings as x10i) ?
Thanks in advance.
Hi again,
Today I cleaned up my phone and tried to install donutHD + doomkernel again. Everything worked ok, except sending and receiving SMS messages. So I flashed back 2.1 stock firmware and 2.3 (GB) stock firmware, and SMS sending/receiving worked fine again, in both versions.
Does anybody has any clue about what can be happening? When I installed donutHD (about 3 times), I was in 2.1 stock firmware, root/busybox/xrecovery from Flashtool (newest version). The same problem ocurred with the Feralabs ICS v2.2 ROM with feralabs kernel for ICS.
I also tried to flash the 2.3th kernel n5-1 (comming from 2.1 stock firmware), but it got frozen in SE screen, during boot. Even xrecovery couldn't open. =/

Problem solved: As observed I was upgrading from 2.1 stock ROM to DonutHD. Doing this upgrade coming from android 2.3 stock ROM, the SMS sending/receiving works like a charm. =D
