*cause i have to decompile(another apk) and compile it, always get error (usually if i change xml file)

i have one more problem ,now i can recompile it by replace ur string code
but when i copy Phonebook.apk (signed) to my phone by root explorer and i set permission
then i restart my phone after i lost contact & phone from my phone.
why like this sir?

An Arc with CM9 on. Don't sign system apks, that might be the issue.

I not sign phonebook.apk still the sam proble
And one more y original phonebook.apk =4.4mb
After recompile =1.91mb

Read the "Recompiling" part HERE
I cant recompile Settings.apk
I used:
Code:
apktool if framework-res.apk
apktool if SystemUI.apk
apktool if SemcGenericUxpRes.apk
apktool d Settings.apk Settings_S3
(edited two xml...)
apktool b Settings_S3
But always the same error.
I just updated apktool to the last version. I am using windows 7

You must add both drawables/strings with right id to public.XML
Hello, I just ****'d up that file on my device, and I dont know where I left the backup :$ Can someone of you please share with me the original android.policy.jar for my Sk17? You can find it in /system/framework, I will really apreciate it

Download this www.4shared.com/android/FTBFZ7cO/SignedSettings_DXLC1.html and rename it to settings.apk then replace this with stock settings.apk by root explorer and change the permission to w-w-w-r it is more smart then stock. Just forget about you lost odex file.

Hmmm.....use CWM/TWRP recovery to fix permission on your phone.....that should do the trick and fix any permission problem...
