Hello I have an HTC Touch Dual (Nike) running Orange UK rom. The phone is in full working order, wich i confirmed with the mymobiler software. The only problem is that the screen is completely black, well you can see some light. My question is how do you know if it is an LCD problem or a flex cable problem without trying on another device.
If you didnt drop device, i don't see any reason why LCD screen will die, it's kinda strong thing.
Well i replaced the screen, and the problem continues!
Hi,
I got a HTC Legend with a broken screen and digitizer.
I replaced the screen and digitizer without any problems.
I turned on the phone, and the screen went on and showed the android boot screen.
30 seconds later the screen went blank, and now it doesn't work.
It's like the screen displays white/black pixels every second ribbon
The phone still turns on and plays the "startup sound".
I have cheched the ribbon cables, but they all seem fine.
Is the screen broken or is it something else?
Any suggestions to what the problem is?
Thank you for your time
My Legend screen was cracked a few days ago after the phone fell, I was looking to get a new screen as well. Where did you get your replacement screen from? It looks like you got a faulty screen based on what you've said.
Hi I recently dropped my T-Mobile HD2 in a puddle of water very briefly i took the cover off and battery right after it happened and wiped everything down. The phone worked flawlessly for about 6 hours then I finally got a black screen. The phone will turn on boot into android(2.3 NAND) and the touch screen works plus im able to recieve calls and messages BUT the only way to tell is to use a bright flashlight to see the screen as I have NO BACKLIGHT. Help me please?
You have probably dead light emission layer. By all means, LCD is to be replaced.
You shouldn't turn phone on immediately after accident. Removing battery immediately, complete disassemble of every possible piece and letting it rest for 2-3 days in warm dry place is a proper way to do this. Next time of course.
So just replace the LCD? Should I order a digitizer with it? Thanks in advance.
Hello All,
I have a serious problem: Today I cleaned my htc evo 3d's display with glass cleaner,
but I took too many drops and swiped with a cloth arround the display. So after a minute, the display began to flicker and then it went black.
Not the colour black, I mean that the light got entirely disabled. But I noticed, that the touchscreen and everything else is still working fine (I got vibrations: for example unlocking the lockscreen) .
So what are my options?
I still have warranty left but the device is unlocked and I see no way to relock it while the display is off.
I'd appreciate your help!
I dropped my defy face down while talking on the phone. The still works except for the LCD display.
The phone rings when I get calls, I can answer and talk on the phone. But the LCD screen is blank. I can see the backlight is on. But nothing on the LCD.
I am not sure what is damaged. Is the LCD screen damaged or did some electronics get damaged?
I opened up the phone and tried reconnecting the screen. But no use.
I also froze the phone overnight. But again no use.
