I buy the Full Body Coverage of DEVDEF, is amazing my phone now is like Black piano i loved, and full protected for scratch i recomend to other user to try.

Bye
I bought their screen only protector and loving it! The first screen protector out of several dozen I used in the past 5 years that installed easily and without any bubbles! It was scary at first to use the "wet application" procedure but, hey, it worked like a charm! Highly recommended!
I should try their full body option...
This looks good, but I'm looking forward to some cases being designed specifically for the Optimus 7. Has anyone seen these around? My carrier, Telus (Canada), hasn't gotten any yet and I already got a scratch on my phone's screen!
What are you talking about? My Optimus 7 from Telus came with a screen protector, which I have yet to take off...it is working well so far, and I am waiting until bestskinsever has a skin for this phone.
ordered...
I ordered the devdef full body kit from the UK... it was like $15 ... I'll give a review when I get it.
I've ordered mine on Dec.28 and received it today. Fast shipment considering it's free and I'm a few thousand miles far.
But I didn't like it at first. The cut is not so perfect, and at least until now (after 1 hour installed), the display's image is not so good. I'll wait the first 24~48h before made a "final judgement" about DevDef for Optimus 7.
I cant find a better one. I want a leather one but there is no

My LG is open-market, and it had original foil protectors on the screen and on the back-cover. I have been using my phone for 6 months, and on LCD protection foil there are no any signs of scratch. On a foil protecting back cover there are only two small places where air entered between foil and cover. I am not intending to use any kind of additional protectors as long as is possible to user original foils.
I bought a screen protector from a random store and a Gelaskin full body protector skin against scratches & it looks awesome, take a look in Gelaskins Website with lots of choices for the LG Optimus 7. Probobly you will find something you like.
I made my own design with Linkin Park ^^
I got pics but since I only got 2 post I cant link or upload them yet...
Are this type of cover better than a rigid case? They only provide scratch protection not shock protection?

Okay, so I was looking around for a new screen protector for my 8525. Tried a few of the generic "universal" type and they all sucked. Bad.
Then I went to Circuit City the other day, and as I was walking around thinking how stupid it is that so much effort must be put in to finding decent screen protectors given the large amount of large-screened phones out there, I stumbled across the Nintendo DS section.
Bingo.
Even though CC online says $7.99 for the two pack, they were only $4.99 at the store here. They even come with a really nice polishing cloth (similar in squishy-soft goodness to the type that come with a PSP or an iPhone).
These things are crystal clear, people. I used a plastic card rather than the little cardboard crap that came with them to apply them, and boy do they look nice. My wife couldn't even tell I HAD a screen protector on the phone when she first saw it. They have a nice thickness to them and work great with the stylus, too.

Just thought I would share my find with everyone.
-D.
Nice find. I'm way overdue on getting screen protectors on two 8525s. (The ones they came with are sheer crap - they leave a fair sized unprotected gap!) The link you posted didn't work. Is this what you bought? http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Peli...sem/rpsm/oid/152027/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

Don't know why that link didn't work, but you found the right one's. You do need to trim them with scissors to fit perfectly...they're a little too big right out of the box.
I took a Nintendo Ds Lite Screen Protector and Cut the right size out works GREAT!!!!
i use the claireview ones.
these dont la t very long. boxwave versions last much longer
+1 for the boxwave, I've been using the anti-glare one for a few months and it's great.
Is there any place that can show a visual difference with the screen protectors?
I use the invisibleshield...go to the website...it really is good!
It seems that the only way to get a full screen protector is to get one that is designed for a larger device and cut it down.
Just about every protector I've seen does not cover the entire screen, there is almost always a small strip of the screen that is not covered.
If this is not the case with some brands, I'd like to know which ones they are!
Invisibleshield - Best screen protectors ever!! Lifetime guarantee too. Plus, they're on sale for half price.

I bought a bunch of different ones thru ebay and love this one that I got now it has lasted over a year and perfect. I have the 8925 Tilt and fits perfect search ebay for Professional Screen Guard on the bottom it says for dopod 838/9000/d600/p100/c800/c858 its the best ive ever had you even have to read the instructions on how to put it on because its three layers.
Put a Martin Fields on my Tilt & it works great. Stiff for good protection, but doesn't decrease screen sensitivity any.
I've got an Exim screen protector from Taiwan via PDA-now thru ebay and am pretty disappointed in the results, especially when it comes to bubble-free installation. It's pretty easily removed and cleaned, but I just could not install it w/o bubbles even though I tried several times. Also, the size was not perfect, and now most of my skinny scrollbar in portrait is unprotected.
I think I will try the G3 screen protector made for 8125:
https://secure.spincaster.com/pdasc...roductdetails.asp?ProductID=402&ProcessType=1
I've used one of these on my Sony Clie for ~6 years and mostly liked it. Pain to install though, but it lasts forever; it actually does not adhere at all, but gets tucked under the sides of the case (it's a little larger than the screen on all sides). So it's pretty much impossible to get bubbles.

Yeah, it can be tricky getting the size just right. I put a new one on a little while ago and got it almost perfect; the one before that had a gap on the bottom from not being cut properly.

UPDATE:
I finally received my invisibleSHIELD the other day. Past by my local kiosk that does the professional install. After 1 hour give or take I went back to the store. Right away the store attendant told me it looked sharp and I had to agree with him. To my surprise it looked better than I thought. I purchased the full body protection and it pretty much wrap the entire body. The kit fits almost perfectly on every curve and holes. The mocha color has a glaze look to it like a coat of glaze you would apply on wood. He told me I shouldn't put it in my pocket or place it in any case for at least 24-48 hours, letting the process take place and reduce the lint and dust. During the first 24 hours, it did felt the rubbery feel to it. It felt awkward at first. However after my first 24 hours, that rubbery feel disappeared / less noticeable. Not sure if I got use to it or it takes a while for the product to settle. Now waiting for ProClip to release its device holder for the T-Mobile version.
Comparison: Screen Protector that came with my HTC Rhodium vs. invisibleSHIELD - no comparison. After couple of days with the stock, there were visible signs of scratches from my nail and stylus. invisibleSHIELD - none. The only thing that the stock has over the invisibleSHIELD is that it was more flush and didn't have any major gap. I can't complain.
Overall: I'm happy with it and I don't have to worry about it getting scratched or dent with the full body kit.
I would strongly advise not getting an invisibleshield. My friend bought one and its not really touch screen friendly. Its very squishy (for lack of a better description) and when using the stylus and or finger on the screen you finger/ stylus gets stuck, almost sticky like. The screen does not react to many of the screen taps or slides.
My friend hated it so much he had to replace it with a generic screen protector (but he kept the rest of the body on.)
Try the Bodyguardz, they're somewhat similar but they are much more responsive and easier to deal with, and you get 2 sets with each one-
http://www.bodyguardz.com/content/accessories/57---2007.htm
I'm waiting for bestskinsever.com to get it. I've been using them ever since I had my Blackberry Curve 8320 and I think they are the best. Works great and without any problems with touch screen devices, I have it on my iPod Touch.
As of right now I'm using the piece of crap one that came with the phone. Got a few scratches on it already, I mean as long as it keeps my screen safe then I don't care.
same here and i hate the one that came with it.
I tried an InvisibleShield on my TP2 last week. It went on easy enough with just a few bubbles that slowly dissipated over a few days, but it is definitely not touch screen friendly - using your stylus with it feels like dragging the stylus through treacle.
Luckily it came off easily enough too....

Try the Bodyguardz, they aren't as "grabby" as the InvisiShields-

They also give you two sets with each box, nice if you mess up (like I seem to always do lol).
Anybody tried the Bodyguardz protector? I'm loathe to spend more money on something that looks practically the same...

I'm waiting for bestskinsever as well. I just noticed last night that i have minor scuffs that you can't really see on my screen unless you look under a light. I tried to install the original screen protector & it just didn't want to go on.
Oh well.
Bodyguardz...... I have the screen protector and its great!!! "the one that came with it"? I looked at that for a second (us tmo) and it only looked like an template to me...lol
Did you guys buy the full protector or just the screen protector from bodyguardz? How's the full version? Does it fit well?
Hello, I found one that works well. It is from www.clearprotector.com I bought the entire phone protector and am very impressed. I did have to use a heat gun to shrink the edges a little on the battery cover, but that was because I did not align it very well As for the screen, it did feel a little on the sticky side for the first week, but as of now I cant hardly notice it and I personally dont feel that it had made the screen any less responsive. Overall a good investment vs. a beat up phone.

I have also tried the invisable shield. It is a great product...but not for touch screen devices. You have to oil the screen to get your fingers to slide, LOL. I took it all off except for the back cover protection and went back to the factory screen protector till one comes out that "FITS" and works with touch screens

He is saying the surface of the protector is much more "grabby" then the oem protector or protector's like Boxwave and Martin Fields. It is much harder to slide your finger with these types (body guardz, zagg, etc...)
I got news for you, Bestskinsever uses the same material as the zagg stuff.. I ordered a universal cut your own kit. Its just as sticky as Zagg (which I have also owned before)..
So sounds like body guardz is also the same material, yes?
I just ordered my holster from seidio and all I need is a full body invisible transparent shield for Tilt. I'm having a difficult time trying to determine which brand is a better choices(Bodyguardz, zagg, phantom skinz). So far, I'm leaning toward Bodyguardz full body shield because it seems to protect the chrome corner side part and heard good reviews on surface texture feel.
Any inputs before I order the bodyguardz? Money is not easy to come by for me so I want to make sure before I plunk down hard earned cash. =)
Thanks in advance.
I bought one of them, think it was the bodyguard or flex version. I cant tell you how they hold up though because I ended up destroying mine while trying to put them on. Talk about a pain in the ass.
It was difficult to place them in the right spots and keep out the air bubbles, even using a credit card to squeegee the air out didnt work out to well. Then some how pieces of the larger ones were sticking to themselves while I was trying to put them on. They arent like the simple screen protectors that come with the phone and are very easy to put on.
They need an instructional video for people like me. Id really love to use the full protectors after shelling out the money I did for my Tilt 2, but I wont waste my money on something thats im likely to ruin before I even get on.
Bodyguardz
Bodyguardz is great, feel and protection wise. It is a little difficult to put on but once on correctly it will be worth it. If you use a little water (actually it comes with applicator spray) it will make it easier to position while applying. I used a Best Skins Ever on my Fuze and it was a little sticky while sliding with the finger but this one is almost like the stock protector, but thicker, longer lasting. If you do a search here a xda there is a thread where someone did a very good job showing and explaining how to put it on. GREAT Of course I have Tmous TP2 but I don't think they are that much different.
I finally took the plunge and ordered bodyguardz for my tilt 2. I'll post pictures and post it here. I hope I'll do a good job installing it. I hope the shield will protect the chrome edge part of the tilt2.
have you guys ever heard of GHOSTARMOR. very similar product. these guys show videos of their product actually being scratched and tossed around. They say its made out of the same material they use on military applications. this stuff looks extremely durable from their videos.
http://www.ghost-armor.com
I wonder if bodygaurdz is made out of the same material that GHOSTARMOR uses. Ive been really leaning towards getting GHOSTARMOR for my Sprint TP2.

i do like the att screen shield - it is very smooth and feels nice. i bought a 3pack for $10 at the local att store when i picked up my new tilt2. had to ask to find them. i have 3 tiny specks of something on the current one (not bothersome so much), because once you peel the back it attracts everything to them. ive got the second one on and have 1 more before i realized that it had one i the box lol. i just got my 2 pack of body guardz but havent had the time to put it on. must devote my full attention to the process! there are great youtube videos for application tips and also great thread on this somewhere. i am very a very detail oriented person and a flawed application will drive me nuts. anywho i have 2 to try for $20 (i used a 20%) off coupon. will let you know how it goes. i chose bodyguardz cuz everyone said they are very smooth and durable and you get 2 instead of one....

I was actually looking for a screen protector online and in stores and stumbled into the one that AT&T put into the box with the phone. I was soooo excited!
Anyway...I don't know if I can spend $20 on 2 from bodyguardz...it's way too much money. However...you do get a lifetime replacement on them...so it might not be that bad.
Let me know how they come out and if you like them...I'm curious to see how they fit the Tilt 2.
Did you get just the screen protector of the case/phone protectors? They also sell the plastic peices for the back and sides...???
Snap some pics when your done with the application!
Thanks,
so the one that att has out of the box.. does it require cutting? or is it an exact fit?

lol yea.. i actually just got mine today.. so yea found out myself... and i put it on perfectly!! seems like a very legit screen protector... very rearely do i use the screen protectors that come out of the box.. this one is actually well made and durable
id love to see pictures of this. Thanks. I ordered the only case ATT had which is a clear plastic one.
I much rather use this and a leather case so i dont scratch it with the case itself.
Bodyguardz
I bought a pair of Bodyguardz because I was very happy with them on my Raphael. They survived a crash (on the moped) which my denim jeans didn't. I also tried Best skinz ever, but they peel off far to easily. I won't be buying that anymore. Anyway, the BGZ armor has been protecting my phone for almost or over a month now. Still happy with it. I'm not so pleased with the fitting though. The ones for Raphel fit absolutely perfect. the one for Rhodium not so... I have to say I could have done a better job with the pieces on the (front)sides of the phone. But that's easy to say in hindsight. It wasn't very clear how they would fit before application. Now I know better. the screenprotector is the worst part (the way its cut out). However many people complain about the screenprotectors from BSE/BGZ/GA because of the rubber-y-ness and go for the stock one (I f-ed up my stock screenprotector so had no choice, btw I've gotten used to it). Still I would recommend BGZ. BGZ has proven itself to me several times. A crash and several drops on the floor. No damage, no scratch and doesn't peel off that easily.
Hey everyone, I made this post to ask around and see if anyone has tried out the ZAGG Invisible shield for the Mytouch Slide, and what do you all think about it.
I'm thinking of buying it but would like to get some feedback first.

I have it on my slide it has allready saved my screen my daughter dropped mine and it scratched the screen shield and it saved my screen. They have a lifetime warranty they are a little difficult to put on so if you are getting it at a store let them do the install and whatever you do make sure you leave your phone of for 12 to 24 hours. 1 is it helps and all the bubles realease and 2 they use a liquid spray on each piece when they install it.And you dont want anything wet when you turn it back on. I swear by mine. And I live in Utah where they are headquartered.I have an in so I get alot of free skins and stuff.
I wont use any protector that requires a spray or water to apply the protector. I'm waiting for the plastic static cling protectors to come out. I used them on my G1 all the time and they are simple to put on without any bubbles and plus the are pretty cheap. These new rubbery screen protectors feel weird, they say its some high tech military material or some garbage. I just want a simple plastic protector that sticks to the screen with no solution. There's a ton for the G1 I dont know why they havent released any for the slide yet.
I'm not too sure about Invisible Shield, but I recently installed a bodyguardz full body protector on my slide and so far I love it. The major advantage I see over invisible shield is that, for about the same price, bodyguardz gives you two sets of protectors in case you botch the first installation (which I did). Overall, after a few days after the second installation I only have a few small bubbles and I actually love the feel of it overall... since installing the protector, I have found it much more easier to type accurately in swype, but that may just be me. There is also no negative effect on the touch screen in any way if you were worried about that.

Thanks a lot! I actually never even thought to check T-Mobile and the last time I checked e-bay all I could find are those new ones that require that spray or water. invisable shielde
whats up man. i just wanted to let you know about my personal expirences with invisible shields. i personally have had one on every htc phone ive ever owned (touch pro, touch pro II, HD2, and now the mytouch slide 3G) and i love pretty much everything about them. they seriously are nearly scratch proof and honestly, during a fall it will protect your phone for the most part. installation can be a pain in the a$$, but you just have to brave about it and use plenty of the spray. use it ilberally on the actual shield and your finger-tips and it will make it pretty easy to position it. on the back peice just go ahead and soak that thing cuz its hard to get it right the first time. luckily if you do mess up, these things come with a lifetime replacement warrenty. all you have to do is give them back the old shield and they'll hook you up with a brand new one . once you figure it out though you'll appreciate it a lot. it gives the phone a really nice feel and it keeps it really well protected. me personally, i like to pair a full body invisible shield with a regular t-mobile screen protector. the reasoning behind this is, one, that ive discovered that it is nearly impossible to get the screen portion of the invisible shield on without bubbles underneth it for some reason (possibly because of how slick the screen is compared to the body of the phone?). and two, a touch screen is meant to be glided around on. it should be nice and slick and feel extremely smooth tothe touch, not all rubbery and sticky when warm. and finally, because it just plain looks better, straight up. your not going to get the same clean look of the plastic protector as you are from an invisible shield. yes the standard protectors are easier to scratch, but thats why they come in three packs. so you can replace em when nessesary. i find it easiest to place the protector down on the screen and position it properly, then take a piece of scotch tape and tape the side. that way you can peel up the backing and lay it down properly with a credit card as to get it perfectly positioned and without bubbles. if you follow my instructions you should be able to install with ease . ive really liked every invisible shield ive had, and the only problem ive found with them is that after time the edges of the shield will get dirty because of the adhesive on the back slowly being pressed out over time. that and the edges sometimes come up. but thats why they come with a warrenty, so you can replace em all you want . i tend to replace mine every 4 to 6 months. in the end i found that its a worth it investment if your the kind of person that wants to protect your phone but doesnt want to add a bunch of bulk to the phone from a case. it really allows the beauty of the phone to come out while still being protected. anyways, i hope my review will help you with your installation and help anyone else reading with their choice on wheather or not to purchase an invisible shield. i really like mine, and i hope you like yours too. enjoy
I have had the invisible shield on my last 3 phones and it is clean, discrete and it does everything that it is suppose to. I personally pay the extra money to have the representative put it on for me and call it a day. You will not be disappoint in the product and the others are just plain cheap and inefficient.

yeah i ordered mine Monday of last week and they just shipped it Tuesday of this week. Very slow processing time.
Went to the local ZAGG store and they finally had it, and I got it lol, now I got one and one coming in the mail, but I must say the full body extreme coverage is nice, feels a bit rubbery but the grip is awesome! So I must say my hat is off to you ZAGG.

That's the one that I ordered. The full body extreme. And the rubbery feeling should be nice since the phone is so slippery anyway.
Where can you buy these locally? I don't want to put my own on.

Hey everyone, I made this post to ask around and see if anyone has tried out the ZAGG Invisible shield for the Mytouch Slide, and what do you all think about it.
I'm thinking of buying it but would like to get some feedback first.

Ghost Armour all the way
I ordered one, came in the mail, this was the first Zagg Invisible Shield that I had put on perfectly. I left it for 24 hours to sit and dry and now it's perfect!
my martin fields isnt really upto the job, it keeps coming off and needs alot of cleaning and i just cant be botherd witht hat now!!
so let me know what you use and how long its been working for you.
thanks
The ZAGG Invisible Shield seems to be very durable. I have a friend that has had one on his iphone for over a year and it hasn't started to peel. He puts it in his pocket, no carry case, so it's had quite a hard life. It doesn't seem to adversely affect the touchscreen operation either.
EDIT: Not sure if it is available in the UK.
sounds like what i need, hopefully it is available in the UK and for a good price!!
Cheers
I just picked up :
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390227019923
This is the same material as the ZAGG brand as it hasn't been patented, and there are a few companies that sell it without the markup.
The seller is an actual website that sells at retail prices, but their eBay pricing is always heavily discounted, I've used their protectors before and ZAGG's, and I can confirm they are the same in quality.
The slight difference I found is Clear Protector brand is easier on the fingers when sliding, I find the ZAGG brand is hard to slide your finger across the screen against its material.
EDIT: ignore the signature, as I haven't updated yet. =P
thanks for that, ill keep it in mind! i had the full body type like that on my nokia but it didnt feel light. Will deffo keep it in mind tho!!
Thanks

I can't vouch for the Clear Protector brand, but I will say that there is more friction with the ZAGG screen protector than without. It didn't take long to get used to and the protection is certainly worth it.
Lokosis, can you remove and reapply the Clear Protector like you can with the ZAGG?
A big +1 for the Clear Protector film.
I've had mine on since day #1 (I got my TP2 on release day last September). Not a scratch or defect yet... and I carry my phone EVERYWHERE.
The only down-side I see is that it has a bit of a rubbery feel to it when dirty. A wipe down with a microfiber cloth helps. A shop of Plexus, or Pledge once a month keeps things slippery.
IMO, if applied correctly, the screen protector will last the usage life of the device (3 yrs +/-), no problem.
ok i really need to sit down tonight and have a look at them all as i need one asap!
i think i may have fitted my mf one too close to the edge and thats why it got pulled off and dust goot in ect... but my screen is still like new under it! and i can get a twin pack for £12 or £13 posted and itll be here within a few days which would be good, but ill see how they compare to others ect...

ZAGG i been with zaggg for about a year and a half now and never been let down, 4 buck for replacement life time warranty. its was made to last i had a full body protection on my TP2 ever since i bought it from day one which was last year October, had to send my device back to tmobile because the touch screen died on me other then that i would have been with the same protection till this day. all i had to do was call zagg asked for a replacement, you dont even have to call it for a replacement you can do it right off the website now. But overall the case increase your grip, keep your phone from sliding across desktop(what a life saver) i never had a problem with sliding my finger across the screen, people don't notice it. idk how but they just don't notice it
