Has anyone see this ROM - Link to thread. It's for the Desire and N1 but wondering if it'd be possible to port it, or some of it over to the Hero?

Working with StreakDroid 1.5.1 and not half bad, but not so great either. Atleast not yet.
Lyrics are always wrong. Nice thought. Doesn't fit our screens verywell.
Certain aspects seem to be slightly off and I wish the album art was larger. Alot of wasted space much like the default adroid music app.
No portrait mode is a nogo with me. =(
It is a step up from the default android music app however, tho I think I'll stick with PowerAmp.
Zimly Coolest Media Player (free in the market, [edit] Zimly is the older version and will nolonger be supported) is also a nice alternative to the defaut player.
Pretty slick layout. I'd replace PowerAmp with it if the dev added an EQ.
I really wish Dell wuld prt their 1.6 music app to 2.2. I LOVED the Dell music app.

+1 for winamp
Another +1 for WinAmp. I pretty much exclusively use WinAmp and it's wireless media sync feature.
MIUI Music on 318 Stock Froyo
It works on 2.2. I like the Widget and it is a better player than the stock option.
Does the Android Winamp support gapless MP3 playback ?

I've had no success using my Vulkano media player on any 2.2 ROMS. It does however, play on my EVO which is 2.2. I was able to get it somewhat work on one of the GB ROMS here, but I also need to use flash video, so GB can't work for me.
I've contacted Monsoon/Vulkano support and they were of no help. They don't support G Tab or 2.2 (even though it plays on my 2.2 phone) and state it only works on 2.1 or 2.3.
My question is, what is making it work on 2.3? Would there be a way to port this to work on 2.2 either via the ROM or a kernel? I have everything so good to go now on my G Tab (running Calkulin's ROM) except for this issue of the Vulkano. I just can't see how this player can't work on G Tab with 2.2.

Here are my thoughts
In Paris is great for video playback with paid for dice player but adownloader crashes the GT
Galaxy task 5.2 w 3.2 is great as adownloader works fine but for some reason dice player not working too great and have to use bsplayer.
So if you use your GT for video etc stick with in Paris v5
If you use GT for everything else use galaxy task 5.2

My personal experience is that Israel rom works best, neither task3.2 or overcomes new rom can support smooth video playback for some mp4 files with stock player.
Im back on in paris v5 with smooth playback in dice.
Hope the devs can sort out playback on 3.2 with dice player as its a great rom.

Thats wierd I've got no problems, choppiness, lagg or whatever with Diceplayer i GalTask. I had to re-wipe/re-flash to get smooth playback...
All in all, in paris might be a bit more stable, but so far I've not encountered any instability in GalTask 5.3...

Not advisable. The OP for the Galaxy Task thread clearly instructs users to do a fresh install when going to v5 or v6 of the rom.

Unsure why you would think that you could flash an update to one rom to at totally different rom in itself bro. That makes about as much sense as flashing an HTC kernel on our tab.
i did try them both... pluses and minuses... but they are all OK.

I installed your rom above ^^^^ and in the op, the screenshot of your tab shows a weather+clock widget. Naturally thought the separate Samsung Weather+Clock .zip was the widget but that installs AccuWeather.
Any help or direction would be much appreciated.

I read somewhere on the forums that MIUI is indeed based on CM7. Then why it has got so many video problems, while CM7 plays them butter smooth. for example Plex runs very well on CM7 but MIUI can not play anything. Thing is after after experiencing MIUI, everything else looks cheap. I just can not go back. Please suggest if you know any fixes. Thanks in advance.
