Hey people.
I'm running Android 2.1 and 2.0.2.A.0.24-rooted-zdz ROM.
each time i try to go in "accounts and synchronization" in my phonebook i get a FC error (com.sonyericsson.android.socialphonebook).
What's wrong? Do i need to re-install the social phonebook application? I searched for it but i cant manage to find it :S
Maybe someone can help, i would really appreciate it.
Thanks
try find it Here
i already looked at that thread but its not there :S
Hi all, I've got an Australian version of the LG P500 which is branded by the carrier Optus. In the stock android browser, there is a bunch of bookmarks installed by Optus which cannot be removed. I have rooted my phone and was hoping that there would be some way to delete these bookmarks through root explorer or some other means.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
hey keyman, welcome to the forum XD I'm also from australia, but I bought mine from Crazy Jones XD Did you try holding on the bookmarks and a popup should come up asking if you wanna delete? Mine came clean, but I dont use the default browser, I changed to dolphin HD browser since it offers additional features in comparison.
Thanks for the welcome
Yes, I have tried that, but unfortunately there is no delete option for the Optus bookmarks. I am able to successfully delete my own bookmarks but not the Optus ones. Guess I'll just have to try using other browsers.
I was gonna refer you to a thread on whirlpool since I've read something similar... so there might have been a solution there, turned out it was you that had posted XDD
EDIT:
Since you've rooted your phone, is it possible to remove browser and reinstall it? I THINK the browser app should be available in marketplace, but check that it is possible to get it and install successfully before attempting.

i manage to get ride of those crappy bookmarks with SQLite Editor
after launch this application search for the Browser stock app then open browser.db then bookmarks table and mark with 0 in readonly column coresponding with bookmark you want to delete
after that you can delete it like your own bookmarks
Thank you so much for that! Worked perfectly! Finally got rid of all the useless carrier apps and bookmarks
I actually post this in the apps section. And don't mean to spam. Does anyone knows what SyncmIDS do? I see my phone starting this up on its own. I would like to freeze it to save battery.
Thanks
hey everybody i have a real noob question and i have no idea on how to go on about it so if i could any tips or help it would be great.
i have a vibrant but im switching over to hd2 now i want to know how to get all my stuff off my vibrant to my hd2 ?
like my contacts messages etc etc pictures.
it would be great help if somebody can let me know
thanks alot
The easiest one is the contacts. You should save all your contacts to your gmail so when you sign in on the new phone BOOM! all your contacts are there waiting for you.
The messages can be backed up using any app off the market. Of course you will have to find the file on your internalSD and move it to the new phone then install that same app and restore using it.
Same for pictures and everything else you'll need to move them manually from one phone to the other. Good luck!

Hi there. I am having, what seems like, loads of problems with my phone at the minute!! Now apart from my other problems which I have (in my other thread, if you can help?) I have/had a photo that was on my home & lock screen but somehow managed to delete it from my home screen?? It is however still on my lock screen! Now where is the location of this photo? I cannot find it anywhere on my phone (gallery or in files?) it is not saved on my Dropbox either? I do not know if TB as backed it up or not? I need to restore my phone because of the other problems I have but I don't want to lose this photo, so I cannot restore my phone! Can anyone help me please as it is a photo of my two little boys? Where do I need to look, for the file?
Thanks in advance
Jay
Anyone know what I can do please?

1. Take a screenshot in your lockscreen. ( Power Button + Home Button )
2. Cut the unwanted parts.
3. Done
:highfive:
Good News
The good news is I have managed to find my photo!!! I had backed it up via Kies quite a while back on my old computer then backed up my old pc up onto an external hard drive! So after loads of searching I managed to find the file & reinstalled Kies on to my new pc. I now have my photo back!
The moral of this story has got to be #back up your photos# you just never know what can happen? I still don't know how I managed to lose this particular photo????
A very happy
Jay
