Hi Question need answering so here goes I updated to 2.1 on My x10i Mobile phone a few days ago all good up and running live wallpaper but now many brilliant live wallpapers from just the update so any websites for live wallpapers will be thankful also I noticed that ( universal Androot v1.6.2 beta 5 does root or unroot ) any reason. 1 more thing i managed to root via the superoneclick app on pc not really bothered unless I need to be bothered about unrooting but I wanted to change boot screen using the root explorer app on mobile which yes I no how to because i used it plenty of times on v1.6 before i updated to 2.1 so on the 2.1 it doesn't show start-up folder were you/i would replace pictures of the current boot up to the 1's we want so Help on that would be Thankful .
It's located at system/media.

hey
i have an xperia x10A from rogers in canada. i had updated it using SEUS and then rooted it to the FW 23 rom. anyways the new easy method came out and i decided to root to the FW 26. it was very simple, just go to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=7490733#post7490733
and download the megaupload rar file that is headed as
Exploid Root for X10a (contains Generic R2BA026 X10a) (it is the first download in that post)
once u have that downloaded, unrar it into a folder and read the text file named IMPORTANT.txt
the instructions are pretty clear from that point, and when ur ready to run the 'RootX10a_v2.cmd' file, just right click it and run it as administrator. follow the instructions and u should have it rooted to the latest 26 rom.
NOTE that all ur stuff will be lost in this transition so back up whtever u can before u do it.
good luck hope i helped!

I have tried several of the root methods, all works, but this is the easiest one !
You dont have to worry about your phones device ID, java or anything else, just smile !
And to give a comment to the previous post, reflashing removes all your installed applications, but does not remove anything from your sdcard or SIM-card.
I recommend updating to 026 with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) and then root with the above method.

You cannot ROOT with that method in 2.1. Universal root works when running 1.6 only.
Search the Android development sub-forum for the proper method to root your X10 running 2.1.

Hello Sr. !
im new to this forum.. im just interested to rooting my x10mini. ive been searching answer for these question but not found any. so, im end up to register in this forum just to make this clear to me.
The questions are:
1) If im root my x10mini, did my sms/text message in GoSMS Pro,stock sms and simcard; contact number in stock contact, simcard; notes in OnePunch notepad, stock notepad;calender's birthday dates in EboBirthday, stock calender; stock apps that installed when i bought like youtube, market, etc will be gone/deleted automatically exactly after rooted?
2)If the answer yes all will be deleted and my x10mini will be like empty with nothing install in it, how can i backup those sms, contacts, notes, birthday dates and stock apps so that after root i just can restore these things in the rooted x10mini?
3)If the answer no that root wont touch anything and it is just root only, which root application suite well with x10mini and after root did root application just like other application that i can open and set phone setting in setting menu?
Thanks to all Sr. in advance.. Im really really appreciated your help.. Im just too naive about this root things.. I want to root because i want the multi-touch function as well as the phone running much faster than usual.
Hey guys!
I have a empire electronics M805 , and i want to root it, but their aren't any tutorials / files, so i can root it.
It runs at android 4.1.1 (i think not the stock version, light edited, other kernel?) It is a tablet!
hi
if it is not on stock rom chances are your tablet is already rooted as most of custom roms come rooted but some of them dont come with a superuser app even though they are rooted in this case just donwload superuser app from play store and update the biaries (also check usb debuging to make root work ) , stock rom means the rom your tablet came with when you first bought it , if your tab is on stock rom chances are it is not rooted in deed even though some manufacturers sell their devices rooted , to root your tab i only see one last solution if there is no dedicated procedure for it , you will have to try general rooting sollutions like unlock root (it is normally safe but do at your own risk) : http://www.android.gs/root-any-android-based-device/
there is also kingo : http://www.kingoapp.com/
and one click root (works only for popular devices though) : http://www.oneclickroot.com/
there are others just google , if your device is a new comer to the market maybe a dedicated root method will come when it will gain more popularity , i hope i helped you .
Yeah you helped me !
