I suggest you pull the battery, put it back in, plug your USB into your PC, hold both up and down on the volume rocker and plug the micro USB into your phone t get back into Download mode and flash Odin the 512.pit and the JFD tarball.
..
Get into download like this
Take out battery.
Connect USB now press the volume buttons then put battery in

What ROM were you flashing when this happened? I doubt they will be able to see but it is possible they will see a custom ROM and charge you for the replacement.
I would at least try to get the original firmware back onto the phone before sending it back. Have you tried more than one USB cable to get into download mode?

you "should" be able to get back to stock, did you include the 512.PIT when you tried flashing 2.1? I usually do a 512.PIT with re-partition when I am going back to JFD
Maybe the OP should "read before posting". I've seen many threads like this, and its really up to the luck of the draw, if your unit happens to be inspected by Captain Flawless, he'll catch it, most likely they'll try to turn it on, see it doesn't boot into recovery and sent it through the refurbishing process. I've actually never seen or heard a story about someone having it come back to bite them in the ass other than anything physical like water damage.
in the OP you make it sound like a JIG is not an option.... may I ask why? THat would solve your issue.
That said, I dont think you have an issue.... send your phone in and quit worrying.
True I sent one one in with fusion on it cause the screen had some bad pixels they never said anything about it I didn't even think of taking the rom off probably cause I dont care but I never heard anything about it and never got any additional charges not saying you won't but the chances are good that they don't look or care either its not like they have 1 guy on a room setting all these phones back to the way they were

You flashed a I9000 ROM on an I9100 device?!
Kiss your phone goodbye unless you jtag it or send it to the service center.
You have flashed a rom for a different phone. The rom you flashed is for Galaxy S not Galaxy S II..
I have read a thread similar like this before but
for what I can remember his phone is permanently bricked. You might want to search
in the Q&A thread. This thread is for Android Development.

i don't know how i missed that. could you tell me what jtag is? is it the same as a jig?
thanks.
Yes it is totally bricked. Unless you have chance and want to try something. The USB jig to put i9000 and i9100 phone in download is the same ( Both use 151k oHms). If you try to use a jig on your phone you might be able to put it back on download mode. However, i would doubt that it work. Since you don't have the good Bootloader on your phone, i'm more like 97% sure it wont work. The black screen only is also a good sign of death. Sry to ear that. JTag is not the same thing than the jig btw. JTag is how they put the first information, at factory, on your phone. It can be used to put back the good bootloader on your phone. But if i remember well, only phone compagnie ( On this case Samsung) and a few person have what it take to make a JTag.

Thats from the creator of the i9000 ROM you just flashed.
Your phone is 100% bricked, just wondering why did you flash an i9000 ROM on a i9100 ROM, thats not only the wrong phone, but you also added a PIT files with Odin which also is not good for the i9100, and this ROM contains bootloaders.
its 100% bricked, however there is light at the end of the tunnel. A good friend of mine at Mobile Tech Videos can fix your phone 100%
hes the only guy that can do this around the world, only does it for 50 dollars, and he can guarantee fix your phone.
Just dont do this again, maybe next time flash DlevROM

I mean this guy is 100% trusted, and email him if you have questions.
hes the best bet for getting it back fast, and working.
Samsung will most likely play games, take longer, and ask you how this happened.
its your choice, but hes 100% legit, you dont have to use him Im just saying this is the best bet for saving you
Maybe if is better to send it to Samsung and let them figure it out.
If they ask what happened, just tell them that you left it on charger snd a few hours after it was dead. After all i doubt that theg can get info from inside the phone.
They will make a clean flash plus bootloaders.
That is what would i have done.

the reason why you should send it to dlev's friends shop to get it fixed instead of samsung is if samsung finds out what you did to the phone, they will probably charge you an arm and a leg for it...

Hey I know this may be the wrong section but im sure we'll get the answer quick here. Was running MIUI 11-4-11 (newest update), decided to upgrade my boot-loader to GB newest, successfully updated, thought CM7 and MIUI were good with GB bootloaders now. Now that I was updated thought I could flash back to froyo roms ok. MISTAKE Decided to odin to KA7 instead of just JFD or whatever. Forgot KA7 had some kind of bootloader file sbl.bin
Phone odined, finished, and shut off completely and nothing works. No lights, no download mode, no computer triangle problem. Im going to order a jig from Team Whiskey but if anyone has ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS please reply and let me know lets get this figured out. I've had the vibrant a long time and been around xda forever im not a noob just was stupid.
THANKS!
Ive had a couple soft bricks too that Ive never had problems with. First hardbrick like this happened with a friends vibrant a year ago and we just sold it. Hoping I dont have a complete HARD BRICK and a paper weight now. Any info is good
Remove Battery.
Hold Both Volume Rockers (Up and Down). Keep Holding.
Place in battery and press power button while holding rockers.
You should get in Download Mode.
If this don't help, your bootloader is corrupted.... you need someone to JTAG.... JIG won't help.
EDIT: If above steps don't work..... After You Remove Battery... Also place in USB cord. And follow same steps
Yea ive tried this a bunch. Whats the info on a jtag? Cant afford a 180 dollar jtag. Youre saying the jig wont boost me into download mode.? Thought maybe it could since my phone may still work, just the bootloaders made it not recognize hardware buttons. Thank you for the reply

I bricked my phone recently.. completely hard bricked.. it will behave just as no battery in it....
I did lot of reading, and found that JIG may not help with corrupted bootloader.
A last thing for you to do is charge your phone overnight and try combo buttons to enter in recovery mode. This helped few people here, somehow, magically.
EDIT: For US people, I saw JTAG happens for below 50$
Cool thank you. Will try the charge and combos and check back here later. So assume its hardbricked and nothing works, best option is to send the phone by mail to someone with a jtag that will fix it for aboput $40 and send it back? Whats the likely hood of the jtag user fixing my either single bootloader corruption, or if I corrupted the secondary bootloader as well.
As long as you are on a GB bootloader you should try Volume down +Power button to get into download mode. I'm not sure but you should try

Meaning jig? Who here has experience with a jig personally? Im wondering if itll force into download mode. I dont wanna pay $10 for a jig then have to pay another 50 to send it in for jtag repair. Thanks for the pointers and suggestions guys
I had something similar happen to me. I used mobiletechvideos service (http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-vibrant-unbrickable-mod/) for 30 dollars it worthy and it includes the return shipping. Takes around 7 to 10 day. Then I installed Ubuntu along side Windows (Ubuntu CD has that option) and perform the resurrection myself. You can also pay them 10 more to resurrect your Vibrant. After that it will be unbrickable, you can flash away and repair the phone no matter what.

Guys my note seems to be in the most dreadful state possible. It wont turn on, I can't put it in recovery, when I connect it to the computer I can hear a sound signalling it does recognize something, but adb cant find the device (seems like it turns off).
This happened after trying to put the cwm beta4 recovery.img , nobody except me is responsible, I was trying to put flash the image, after running the command however it dint seem to me it made any difference after trying to boot to recovery so, I tried running the command again, except this time, it gave me an error which said it ran out of space or disk space, I tried restarting and it wont turn on.
Any and all help is appreciated.

Honestly......best idea.... return it. I'd actually suggest leaving it alone, on the off chance you got Odin to recognize it, and maybe halfway fixed the Note, it might then look to whomever you return it to that you broke it somehow. Basically the fact it won't turn on at all is to your benefit at this point.

As for the brick, i concur, returning it at this point would be best. I hate using dd to flash things, one typo can screw up the entire device.
if it turns on at all... you may risk getting it found to be modded. just sayin.
if i were you. Id find an old ac adapter cut the wires and seperate. then zap the prongs where the battery connects. in my experience, old laptop chargers work the best. be sure to cut the end off of the cord that plugs into the laptop. the brick will protect you from fatal or even harmful shock so dont worry.

N7000 is NOT the same as i717. Can you still get to recovery? Hold vol+, vol -, and power for 5 seconds or so until it shows samsung logo, with luck you will only have screwed your main kernel and still have recovery to flash a working i717 one. If not do Power+Vol+ for 5 seconds for download mode which requires Odin on PC to flash a cwm/twrp recovery or stock rom.

if you can't boot into download mode, your Note is dead , pull the battery out, leave it for a minute and while holding the volume down, stick the battery in and see if it boots into download mode. I'm not going to ask why at this point of time anyone wouldn't know the difference of the two model Notes, it happened at first right after the US Note came out , anyways, you can try to get your hands on a jig and force it into download mode if nothing else works, pretty cheap http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-s-download-mode-jig/ , I have one and all you do is plug it in the usb port and it should automatically boot into download mode, they don't have one for the note but the galaxy s/vibrant 4g/nexus should all work.
If you can get it booted into download mode you can save it with the proper rom flashed thru odin, the n7000 boot.img/zImage is what killed your note, you can't use the kernel or modem from each other.
Good luck.

Using a jig is completely different than JTAG. Jig simply boots download mode, and probably won't work. JTAG involves soldering something on the motherboard and costs about 50 bucks if you ship it to somebody to do, which could save your phone possibly. And since you didn't read enough to know the difference between the international and ATT notes, you should probably read a lot more before the next time you try something.

Sorry for your loss....
It's an expensive (and avoidable) lesson to learn...
(Reading for comprehension)...is mandatory around here, to avoid a paperweight...and I'd rather risk being flamed alive for asking a repeat question, than to brick my note due to lack of understanding. The difference between these two devices is "very" easy to spot with minimal research.
very sorry....g
Sorry man. I read a lot before I started anything with an iPhone or android. There are devoted sections to each international and states note. At the very least you learned a huge lesson. Try a warranty exchange or insurance and you'll be good to go again.

thank you guys, but not body gave me an essential answer so far..... DID I LOSE MY NOTE? or there is any hope to restore it back?
I think you were given an answer; in all likelihood you've lost your note which is why people are suggesting warranty/insurance returns.

That's for the international note, you just hard bricked your phone. International roms aren't compatible with our phones and vice versa. Hopefully you're under warranty or have insurance...

I gave you the only answer you need ! Unless you can boot into download mode your Note is D.E.A.D.-S.O.L.... if it won't boot to download mode, either make a USB jig or buy one like I showed you, even gave you a link for it or claim warranty/insurance. Don't know what else you want, maybe someone can take a trip to your house and do it for you.....

After reading posts by the OPer it reminds me of a movie, remember rush hour "do you understand the words coming out of my mouth!" Well I also think your note is dead, JTAG probably.

Brick means dead. Paperweight. It happens. JTAG.
Here is a link to mobiletechvideos
http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-note-jtag-brick-repair/
I just broke the rules by posting that, you're welcome.
That is listed for the international version, but at the bottom it says "valid for the at&t lte version"
Josh is a trusted member of xda, and he has zombified many phones.
As stated above, this type of repair is the only hope you have of saving this phone.
