Adobe Reader's Bug OR.... - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Today I just install Adobe Reader. And found something REALLY interesting.
Have any one try Adobe Reader?
When I open PDF using Adobe Reader, I just fool around with its feature including PINCH zoom. And found a shocking event. It WORKS RANDOMLY. Well it might be just a bug though.
I try to slide my two finger in and out. Sometimes it zoom in when I slide in my two finger, sometimes it does nothing, sometimes it zoom in when I slide out my two finger. It applied with the zoom out and it's a random event.
I won't post any controversial video here. Just try it by yourself. Find Adobe Reader at the market and it's only around 1,8MB in size. Please post your experience here.

Ya the pinch thing happens to me too but i'm wondering if it may be just double tapping that we don't notice

How to do text reflow in browser?

I can't seem to make this work, unless I rotate the screen from portrait to landscape and back again.
Can anyone tell me how to make it work after pinch zooming?
Thanks,
James

dolphin browser hd
What about it?
double tap to the screen.
That zooms out, and reflows, but doesn't reflow to the size you make the text with pinch zoom.

Haven't had mine come through yet so I've not been able to test this but in the Techradar review they say:
"One gripe we do have is the text reflow, as it doesn't do it automatically – you have to double tap the screen slowly to activate it when pinching to zoom in."
Hope that helps

why dont you try first? zoom in and double tap to the screen.it reflows in same size.
Thanks both for your comments.
Unfortunately I can't make it work even despite cCeT's arrogant reply.

This was the arrogant comment. Of course I've tried first, why else would I be starting a thread on the issue?

thats you misunderstanding.
did you checked autofit pages box under the the browser settings before trying to do that?
What did you mean then?
I've tried the auto fit pages button, but it didn't seem to have any effect

Confirmed, this does NOT work. Some oversight.
Like others have said, this does not reflow, it just zooms out to fit the text onto the screen...
this is a huge deal.
what about if you just load a regular page, zoomed out completely. then double tap somewhere, it should zoom in. does it reflow after a double tap in that fashion?
99% of my usage is just double tap on a place, and browser reflows teh text. i dont care about pinch to zoom reflow necessarily. any luck with double tap method?
Double tao appears to reflow correctly, but unfortunately that's not much good for many scenarios where I would like larger text

Yep, as above. The Nexus S had this issue too but got round it with the + and - in the lower right corner. Text would be off the edge after pinch to zoom but tapping either the + or the - reflow it while maintaining the text size previously set. No such luck here though.
Guys my SGS1 had been lost for almost a month, but as far as I remember the stock browser would not reflow on "pinch to zoom", would only reflow on "double-tap to zoom", and only on certain pages that had clear resizeable DIV/TABLEs (html language)?

Delete me !!!

I am pretty sure stock browser does that. When I double click on a page, it zooms in and wraps the text.

My immortal is quite right, just double tap the screen on the stock browser to resize

And if you find double-tapping too troublesome, you can always try Opera.
Thanks i dont have the stock browser as im not in the stock rom ! :/

Use opera or ff. Not all websites support mobile view.

Double tap zoom on browser

So on mosr mobile browsers ive used, be it android or ios, double tap to zoom on an article usually zooms in re sizes snd re alignes the document in a way thats more readable so one does have to keep panning while reading.
Is it only my phone that doesnt do that?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
hi !
go to browser>>>settings>>>more>>>settings>>auto-fit pages (mark).
enjoy
Oh thank you, thank you, thank you.

ICS/Gmaps

Ever since switching to ICS, I have had a small issue with Google Maps. It works fine, except I cannot figure out how to zoom out. It zooms in by double tap, but no +/- shows up to zoom out. Anyone else see this? Or am I having one of those moments?

Pinch to zoom out.
You're so smart. Me, not so much today. Never even crossed my mind. When did this change?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
I always remember it as pinch to zoom out. I didn't even know it had other ways lol
No idea, but I have always used the pinch method so its just second nature for me.
Please, make fun of me all you want. I'll never close this thread, just as a reminder to myself. I'm not even blonde! (No offense to those of you who are)

You can also pinch to zoom in.

You can also go into the options menu & I think it's under labs & enable the + - icons, as well as other stuff

Double tap to zoom in to read text on webpages

Hi,
On my old Xperia Arc, whenever I double tap, it zooms in closer and I can read everything perfectly without touching the scroll bars. I find that on the s3, when I double tap, it just zooms in closer but then i will need to use the scroll bars from side to side to see everything. I have tried going into advanced settings and ticked the option to make everything fit but it doesn't do the job. Any suggestions?
I am having this same annoying issue. Is there a fix for it or something as it seriously is starting to piss me off >.<
Try other browsers.
