Downgrade to 1.6 (X10a), then flash using the official update through SEUS:
OR
Flash directly to v2.1a (Rogers):

Hey everyone,
Was just wondering if Australia has got this update yet?
Today I thought I might check if it has came yet so I opened up SEUS and checked for updates...
I box did come up and said 2.1 update is here blah blah blah, do you want to install it?
I thought it might brick my phone if I try update it on top of my Rooted x10 so I did i clean factory reset and tried updating it through SEUS again but it doesnt come up anymore?
My phone keeps saying my software is up to date and so does PC Companion and SEUS. ( Phone firmware is still on 1.6 on phone)
I uninstalled SEUS and tried again but same outcome...
Does anyone know why it wont show up when my phone isnt rooted and does when rooted?
Is it even out in Australia yet?
Answers would be very appreciated,
Thank you, Chad.
It shouldnt brick, you need to have your phone rooted, and then to change your region code, Global Generic code works fine.
It shows up with an update for me, but it doesnt actually start downloading :/
How do you change your Region code?
Is there a link you can give me mate, or some information?
yea mate, just look at the first post of this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824711
you could also use as an alternative the global generic code instead of the norwegian code thats put in that thread which is 1232-9897
It appears someone here in Aus has already received the update.
Either that or they aren't the brightest and flashed their X10 and still believe their device is somehow evident of an Optus release...

If you're referring to the network settings which the phone lists as available, the only operators listed are Optus and Virgin.
Other than that I haven't noticed any other operator specific logos/settings.
I have an AT&T X10a. I want to flash it to 2.1. Preferably a unbranded/generic rom.
How do I go about doing this.
It's not rooted or anything yet.
You can download the flashed and software need on these forums I've done it and it worked perfectly

To place in flash mode: press and hold the BACK (arrow) button on the phone while simultaneously plugging in the USB.Your phone has to be switched off.
Disable UAC: means disable the User Account Control settings in your Win7 machine. You can do that from the control panel or just type "UAC" in the search programs and files box when you hit the "START" or Windows logo on the buttom left of your desktop and then choose it from the list and drag the arrow to NEVER.

i have tried this version, and also the global world, and there is another generic global version...
everytime the flasher says press any key to continue ( after doing everything) and quits i unplug the xperia and turn it on and always get the dead phone with the exclamation mark... wat am i doing wrong here ... ive tried 3 different versions so far for xperia x10a to be able to get my att xperia x10 on 2.1 but have failed each time. coming form a nexus one, which is so much easier to root and install roms on this is frustrating the hell out of me.
i have been able to install a generic unbranded 1.6 on the phone and it boots fine but no version of the 2.1 will work... is there something that i am missing. anyones help would be appreciated.
thank you
p.s the x10 i have is a white one from att, dont think the color should change anything though.

I used the Generic Rom to upgrade my AT&T 1.6 x10 to 2.1 but after the upgrade the phone was slow and sluggish. Keyboard response was slow also, I ended up just going to back 1.6. Seems like there aren't any optimizations for speed for x10 on 2.1 =(
I have a new rooted and unlocked LG P509 from T-Mobile USA and just updated to the latest firmware. Noticed that once the update was complete, the phone now has sound on that annoying T-Mobile splash/start up screen.
Is there a way to remove the files so that the phone boots right into the LG and then ANDROID screen?
Thanks in advance!

Nice....
I can't flash it due to the KDZ program crashing on me repeatedly. Could it be because of Windows 7? I'm doing everything right, but it crashed the second I press the button to flash the phone.

Hello,
I have one white Z2 that displays LTE when its connected to ATT and another Z2 i just bought and it only shows 4G. Both of these are the same model number but im assuming the black one i just got is from another region. The LTE still works, but it just displays 4G. Can i change the rom on the xperia z2 to the firmware my white one has? Is that possible?
Ok so i figured out that the black one i just bought is 1282-0226 the UK version. Can i flash it with the USA/CANADA firmware?
Info

thanks for the response buddy, i just want to be 100% sure i can flash it.
4G is what we Brits call LTE , it's working fine as is, although as @Geeks Empire says feel free to flash US firmware.
OK I will guys. I just wanted to make sure I don't lose my DRM keys by flashing another regions firmware

clear colleague
in Mexico it was telcel. and the blue logo and its letters and its apps appear.
with this rom
it's just samsung logo and nothing else samsung
the apps that can come are few, they are netflix and others but they are with a weight of less than 1 mb.
can be frozen or removed
I remove them with twrp and root
