just updated my x10 to 2.1 n I am surprised to say that I actually am surprised to say that I am liking it more than before.
I have to say android guys are doing great and hope their good work continues.
I am staying in Dubai and have been considering to flash my x10 to Nordic firmware since I bought it.
I would like to know if we can flash x10 to Nordic firmware without rooting it? Or is rooting compulsory? n I hope that would get me the market application

No it doesn't need rooting it just need seus installed before starting

great.... so does flashing bring me the market application here in UAE (dubai)??
Moreover another question is I have already updated to 2.1
So can I still follow the general flashing rules with the available Nordic Rom or is there something different with a 2.1 updated version.

Your version says 2.2. Are you running a ROM or did u put down 2.2 instead of 2.1 by mistake. SE didnt release 2.2 firmware. Just want the facts right so i can help or others can help.

What's is your region? Currently only the Europeans have 2.3.3 update but we could always flash with Odin flashtool. Firmware provided by Samfirmware.com

Then you might want to flash it yourself.. though froyo is more stable. I think gingerbread is a leaked, not yet official rom, Europeans please correct if wrong.

I bought new Samsung galaxy S GT-19003 4GB one with SC LCD screen running froyo 2.2.1 Asian firmware. I want it to upgrade the firmware to 2.3.4 Europe firmware. Is there any problem if I upgrade asian firmware to europe firmware as I live in india.

I really need to go back to it. i bought in singapore only but using it in india. i never noted that official firmware version of 2.3.3 but ive a screenshot of official 2.3.6. Pls help me in this case
