Download mm, ninjamorph, silver edit, and astro.. While here pick up a random icon pack... (your first morph)
Open silver edit..pick new xml.. Here is a template. Replace the dashes - with less than/greater than < .. They won't show on xda

Open ninja morph, choose the apk you want to modify.. The images you want to change are in res folder in the drawable dir.. choose the icon and replace it with one out of the icon pack..
Open astro.. Go to android themes.. Make new directory, Theme_Name.. Open the workspace folder..this is where the changed apk is... Copy res folder.. Paste it inside Theme_Name.. Delete everything but drawable... Open the silver edit folder in astro and copy Theme_Name.xml and paste it with your new res folder... You just made a morph on your phone...
Open meta morph..start checks and chose existing... Click Theme_Name and Theme_Name.xml, apply all...
Your original images from your apk are in backup inside android themes...

I followed this to the t. All i changed was a .png file for an app icon but it would not reinstall. there is something i'm missing here but ar the rookie, noob, or what ever. i can't put my finger on it. Any suggestions?

Nevermind. I was able to edit and modify the icons through ninja morph. I changed the wireless and cell signal bars so far ill post a screen shot if interested.

Well I haven't really had the ability to do lately... and those that can't do, teach.. I was lucky to get in on the bottom floor and learn before xda got cluttered with a bunch of ppl that just take... I figure this is my way to give back to the real devs that put out quality work but can't make their roms perfect for everybody... so that anybody can make the small edits to make their phone perfect for them...

I'm trying to change the icons on my lock screen the one that slides from left to right as well as right to left I found the file switched the icon but it won't change any ideas?

This is the bomb.
I downloaded three icon packs. But when I'm in nijamorph looking for the icon pack images I cant find them.
I went into system/app as well. I looked basically looked at every folder...

THEY ARE CALLED SOMETHING LIKE IC_JOGDIAL
Made this for myself and thought I would share. Support will be minimal due to time limitations. Unless there is a major problem.
This has been used with CM6.1 on both a Vibrant and Nexus One.
Not responsible if you don't know what you are doing.
Included apk's are:
- Browser.apk
- Contacts.apk
- Phone.apk
- Settings.apk
- mms.apk
- framework-res.apk
All of these are fully themed using the gingerbread files graphics files.
XML edits were also done to make the menus black with white text.
I didn't include the gmail app since it is from the market now. If you want to theme the notification icon, use a morph that is posted in the theme section. Or use ninja morph.

p.s. must change clock date and notification text colors to match in CyanogenMOD settings (UI tweaks)

everything is perfect only 1 thing, signal bars stay gray??
Signal bars should be green if you are in network. some of the roaming bars are gray.

Actually in the gingerbread sdk they are all grey. But the green does look better.

I just ripped open the framework-res.apk included in this theme and the green bar .png's are indeed there, so not sure what's causing them not to show up.
What weather widget is that? Can I find that somewhere around here?
ok so, there must be some major issues with the network in my area today. I normally get bars and today I haven't gotten any but my data is there, however, very spotty as well. Guess is they're fixing the network or something. The green bars should show up as they have on other 2.3 themes, as the .png's appear to be there in this theme as well. Thanks OP.

Updating op to include a download of full theme with fixed 4-Tab and Android lockscreen images as well as fixed Incoming Call Lockscreen Images.
main image is more transparent but press is solid and the images are fluent in color all the way thru. (minor neglect on my part not catching that sorry!)

If you have Call Connect Tone, Call End Tone or Outgoing Call Vibration enabled (not sure which one causes it) the phone force closes when you try to make a phone call. All three are under Settings/Call Setting/ All Calls. I'll try to narrow it down tomorrow before work. When you're in a phone call and you hit the Home key the notification bar goes blank. When you drop it down everything shows up, but only when the list is dropped down. Great adds from V1 though!
And I just finisher brotherhood also. This makes me want to go to back to project v.

I saw your post on EDT Forums after I posted on XDA. Sorry about that... It's still a great theme. Everyone at my job is mad that they can't get it for their phones. I'm going to mess around tonight with the software you suggested and see what all I can figure out.

Not sure about flashing with rom manager but first check the md5 against the posted md5 using something like md5check (attached)
If they match then copy the .zip file to your internal phone storage.
Reboot into red recovery (from project v just longpress power and choose recovery)
optional first steps:
Wipe cache
advanced>wipe dalvik
go back
Back to install:
choose install zip from sd
choose zip from sd
then find the file
when its done reboot
wait a few minutes and your good

This theme has a ton of ported elements from a cm7 theme called blood red by team carbon... most icons have been ported and are not my own graphical edits. It is ported to an extent.. the rest I had to do on my own. Doing this was editing image by image. I did not use apk manager.. so if you are using this and find something that needs to be changed feel free to bring it to my attention and I will rectify on my next update.
HUGE THANKS TO HEDWIG for allowing me to use his themed calendar for my theme as well as his update package. Also for helping me find images i couldnt locate.. if you hit my thanks button and you like the theme make sure you click his also

Quick Notes:
There are 2 zips 1 for the full theme and 1 for a volume fix courtesy of uot kitchen
Also when you flash this zip it is going to say hedwig v.5 red theme.. that is because it is his update package that he allowed me to use.. however my theme is contained in the zip
This update package should work for eclipse 1.2 and any of the release candidates for 1.3

1. Boot into recovery
2. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
3. Install zip called Blooded up and Blazed out 1st

Instructions
download the zip
extract using a file explorer preferably root explorer
to place these icons on your screen with a third party launcher choose custom icon when adding a specific app to your screen.. go to gallery and look for the images in the extracted folder "additional app icons"... select that in place of the original and your homescreen will have a red themed icon

The volume fix makes the volume indicator and the line in the browser red.. that's all lol didn't feel like searching for the images I think they. Are xml edits

the Google search widget looks like it has a red tint to it but thats it...is that what u mean?
My old theme had red text fields.. this theme has a red outline boarder only.. there is a tint on google search box and browser

Oh yeah...wanted to suggest maybe a little more red inside the messaging app if possible.
Like the send button.
And the gray bar on top that shows who the conversation is between when viewing messages.
Also the part that says "new message. Compose new message" would be nice if some red was in there.
This is great. Only thing that I don't like is that after flashing over 1.3rc2 I don't have the bionic camera anymore ;( please fix this
