I replaced the twcalendar and twcalendar provider with the stock aosp one. works fine, only problem is i have the "white bar bug" and don't know how to fix it. eugene had a version of one of his ROMs with it and fixed, but that calendar didnt work on the stock ROM for some reason.
Anyone know how to fix the white bar bug?

[Q] froyo lockscreen for 2.1?

is there a way that the lockscreen for froyo can work on a 2.1 ROM? it might be the same as the regular vanilla lockscreen but the froyo one has some good animations and it makes the current wallpaper in the homescreen as the lockscreen one. so is there a way?
I'm not positive but I think the answer is no. Froyo uses API level 8, 2.1 uses API level 7.

^^check out this thread, It is pretty much the same as your question but he is trying to get the froyo launcher on 2.1 instead of the lockscreen.
PS:You should just use a froyo rom, their are some great ones on the forums.
ok thanks i would use froyo but theres alot of downsides to froyo especially on eris

Like what? The only problem I could think of was camera preview not working, but that has been fixed recently.

i have that for 2.1 but i tried froyo and i like how the lockscreen hides the homescreen using the current wallpaper and it has the music controls. also i can add my own message on it
White widow has the same lockscreen it may be a cyanogen mod thing.
can i extract that and install in to any rom?

{req} aosp apps - froyo

Hey guys,
i was looking for some AOSP apps that would work on modified FROYO 2.2 Roms.
In particular am looking for the calendar, market, and calculator apps. Any suggestions on were i can find them, or can they be posted?
Thanks!

Has anyone done this yet? Curious if the calendar has the same "white bar bug" that 2.1 has... I still havent figured out how to get rid of the bar. I know eugene's ROMs that had the aosp calendar had it fixed, but I am basically running a "stock" rom with my own "tweaks" and I tried his calendar and it didn't work for some reason.
I am not sure if all the CM AOSP apps will work. A lot of them are modified and could require framework-res changes that may not exist.

Port Samsung-Apps to CM9?

any way to port any of the Touchwiz frameworked apps (such as the dialer and contacts, or the clock) to work with Cyanogenmod9? I love CM9 but I miss the smartalarm clock and the contacts apps with swipe left/right to call and message. I tried rocketdial but i dont particularly like it.

So not possible mate!

ICS Question

Is there an recent ICS Rom with touchwiz that has the contacts tab in the dialer or do i have to keep using a dial app to replace the stock dialer.
Ive noticed that either the samsung or the leaked roms that appear seem to fix bugs but not the obvious missing functions! Does any one know if there is going to be a fix?

Try XXLPW:
There is a battery % in notification bar in LPW ROM, by default disabled. Have to enabled by display settings.
LPW also have the 4th tab of contacts like GB in logs. Maybe that's what you want.

Lockscreen Porting

I might be the only strange one, but I like the stock lock screen. I was wondering can I port this lock screen to another ROM. I really want to give the ParanoidAndroid ROM a try (I am really interested in Halo), but the lock screen is a big enough issue for me that I stay on stockish ROM. Thanks for anyone that can help.

I used Titanium Backup and backed up the "Lock Screen Settings" and something like ".com.lge.lockscreen"
Flash your new ROM, use TB to restore those two apps and uninstall the lockscreen that came with your new ROM. That's what I did when I switched over to Slick JB and it's working fine for me.
