I would like to know if anyone has tested this on Xperia X10 mini pro, the full body shield.
Thank you for your input.
I've got the mini's shield. Its pretty good. however the protection for the back cover is pretty much useless cuz it doesnt stick to the rubber coating. And if you do get it sticking it looks like crap. you're better off just getting the screen.

Thanks for the information. I might get some silicon protection for the back. The only problem is that my wife uses the phone as it was a nokia 3310, thrown around in her bag, which has everything from a lip stick to a bazooka .
As this was a present, I don't want it to look like an old calculator by the time we get to Christmas.
I have one installed at the kiosk on day one. After day 30 the sides starts to get get peeled and looks ugly. Now, after 3 months, the phone looks like crap (I'm still waiting for a replacement stock so I can't remove it yet). All the sides peeled especially on the earpiece side, camera and volume buttons.
@Johev: That's how I use my phone lol! So far my invisible shield, which claims to be scratchproof is already scratched from my normal extreme wear and tear. I think a good practice is to put silicone casing over the invisible shield.
Got My X10 mini a Invisible shield by zagg, got it installed by personnel on kiosk, which is official retailer on our country. Im still waiting for the replacement since it was peeled off. due to wrong installation, the personnel told me that I have to wait for replacement, though the replacement is free.
I have accidentally rub it to a rough wall, and luckily no scratch on either phone and the invisible shield, got it for more than 2 months now. and it still scratchless. probably luck or it just work or Im just too careful.
I have the full body installation, the back stick perfectly. though missing the rubbery feel, I still have other back cover. Invisible shield was installed on my favorite back cover(black).
as the back cover is replaceable.. wouldn't it just make more sense to buy new back covers and just protect the important part (ie the Front Screen) ??
I have had my phone for quite some time now.. and I don't use the silicone case that came with the phone much (because it makes it too hard to slip out of my pocket)
The phone has a few slight scratches on the (kit bundled) screen protector but the back cover still looks like new.. (I would just buy a new back cover if it did get scratched up)

Its not that it does not make sense. but Its just want to protect my phone and its an own personal preference.
Just a little input.
Invisible shield is not a perfect product, though it's efficient.
I have my iPod Touch covered with it, at the same time to fully preserve it's function I also got a Capdase silicon casing as outer cover.
My invi-shield is still intact, and my iPod still looks new (if I take off the Capdase).
And I'm planning to have my mini covered as well.
Good but not great
I put one on to cover up the scratches. The instructions and installation is easy but like other reviews said, it's not perfect. I prefer no screen protector period. To me, it makes the phone look cheap. I'll deal with the scratches.
my x10 min pro came with screen protector in box.
have used the zagg ones in the past and i think they are rubbish hard to put on and leave the screen dull looking

Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or is it just a screen protector?
It covers pretty much the entire rear and the screen. There is no cover for the 'frame' of the front.
IMHO It's very tough, quite tricky to put on the back (of an XDA Mini S with textured surface) and would have been better if it covered the exposed front parts (but I guess the various button and LEDs get in the way).
Re: Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or the sc
The Invisible shield comes in two styles. One is for the whole phone the other just for the screen. I have a Cingular 8125 with the whole phone style. The kit comes in precut pieces which you apply to various areas of the phone. So it offers a fair amount of protection but does leave some gaps. The screen cover is the best I have ever used.

I had also seen these on Ebay and was wondering if anyone had used it.
The "infomercial" has sold me on it, but I really wanted to get some opinions from others who bought it and used it before I took the plunge.
So, even if just the screen protector does the job, it would be money well spent??

Yes, the screen protector is worth the money. I would suggest buying directly from their website. They do not charge for delivery as they do on ebay
invisible shields are THE BEST screen protectors hands-down. I have been using them for ipods, cameras, and all my phones. It's always the first accessory I buy. I'm using one on my 8125.
Easy to put on, doesnt scratch, STRONG, and wont leave a residue if you choose to remove it- which you never will do and it will never come off, either. Plus they have a lifetime guarantee. Highly recommended for any gadgets.
Best piece of gear hands down. I have the "Full Body" on my 8125 and just a screen protector on another. I bought direct since I live here in Salt Lake City, UT. As for somebody saying it never comes off once it is on us untrue. Just respray it and carefully lift an edge and it will come off.
RE: Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or the s
I just tried to put mine on today, and it didn't cover the entire screen. It's like alot of screen protectors that I've used in that it leaves a 1-2 millimeter gap around the edge. I decided not to use it, and opted to use my WriteShield screen protector that I got from PocketPCTechs. I've tried their AG and C* (clear) screen protectors, and the C* screen protector is the clearest screen protector I've ever seen. And it cover the entire screen of the 8125.
Having said that, I went ahead and put the rest of the InvisibleShield protectors on the rest of my 8125 and I like it. I've got and IS on my IPOD also, and it does a pretty good job.
However, removing is does leave some residue. Like the one for the 8125 the IPOD version comes in multiple sections, and I didn't like the placement of a the pieces that go over the circular sections of the IPOD, so I decided to remove them and maybe try to re-apply them. When I pulled them off, they left a gummy, glue like residue. I did manage to clean it up with some GooBGone. I'm not sure if I'll be able to re-apply those pieces or not since they are not "clear" any more. Maybe there's a way to wash them or something to clean them up.
I may have done something wrong (and if I have, someone please tell me what it was cause I realy like the IS for my IPOD), but I couldn't find anything on their website which gave any instuctions for removing.
Does the 1-2 mm gap around the edge really make a huge difference?
RE: Does the Invisibleshield cover the whole phone or the s
It does to me. Invariably I would always slide of the edge with the pen. Plus it's kinda noticible when you look at it. It's more of a personal thing really. If you're OK with it, then I think the protector that comes with the IS would be a really good one. I just like to have to whole screen covered.
You do know you can order the IS a custom size to fit your needs.
Here's my review of the Invisible Shield, which I installed onto my 8125 earlier this week.
The quality of the material is excellent. I have no doubts this will save my entire phone from bumps and bruises. However putting the stuff on left me hating and liking it at intervals during the "ordeal". Unless one has steady hands and lots of patience it would be nearly impossible to put the pieces on without getting your finger prints on the underside of each piece. The adhesive is seriously good.
I did manage to get all the pieces on, after about 90 minutes. I did have to rinse the screen cover several times in order to clean the underside of smudges left by my fingers. I also had to lift a corner once to take out a bubble that just would not come otherwise. Even at that I was not impressed with how the screen looked immediately after applying it. But now, 4 days later I have to say that the claims of the bubbles working themselves out over time are entirely accurate. The shield is now crystal clear and undoubtedly a good protective device.
The material also has the characteristic of making the phone very grippy. I like that about it. What I don't like so much is that there are many pieces, and you can feel the edge of each one when you hold or handle the phone. This is because the material is thick, and that helps to provide the protection, but it takes some getting used to. The grip can be felt when using the stylus as well, but fortunately the digitizer on the screen is very sensitive so a light touch works well, and this minimizes the drag created by the material.
My final impression is that the kit is worth the money. It will protect the phone from all but the most careless handling, or serious accident. It is nearly invisible and makes for a better, albeit edgy, grip. I wouldn't want to apply it again, but then I shouldn't have to given its toughness. Perhaps next time I'll pay someone else to apply it for me. ;o)
Invisible Shield
FYI. I purchased mine (full cover) for my 8125 at a mall kiosk. They guy asked me if I wanted him to install it as it is tricky.
I have little patience for such things (like airplane models), so I had him install it for $5 extra.
It was WELL WORTH IT!!! The install was top-notch and I am very, very happy.
Could someone post the picture (front, back, side) of the MDA or 8125 with invisibleshield in it. I know that it might be difficult to see it clearly since the shield is almost invisible. Could someone put some arrows in the picture on where the shield is applied. I would like to see which area gets covered before buying it. TIA.
I contacted the seller and asked for the picture. But they don't have it.
Also, once you apply the invisibleshield, can you safely carry the MDA naked in a purse together with all kinds of stuff such as keys, pens, notes, etc?
I'd like to see some photos as well

What's the best screen protector for this phone? I've tryed the IPG Shield (a copy of ZAGG) but it isn't very good !
lexard's truevue is great.
I tried invisible shield, it was hard to apply, and I also didn't like the sticky feel.
if you like more traditional screen protectors try Lexard.
Their films are super thin (which also makes the application a bit hard.
also the adhesive under the film don't quite reach the very edges of the film.
but if you carefully apply these are great. they don't scratch easily and look fantastic.
in both glossy and anti glare.

I tried Zagg invisible shield, and its great, yesterday I have accidentally rub/hit my phone to a un-finished wall(rough wall). I was amazed that the phone does not have any scratch on it. with that much force and friction, I though that I need to replace the invisible shield or worse My phone would have a large scratch/dent on it. but my phone and the shield survive without a scratch. Is it because of invisible shield or It was just my lucky day.
anyway, I recommend it for any phone. If youre going to protect your phone, better protect it with good protector. unless you only need to protect it against smudges.
You can protect your phone with a normal screen protector but in the end of the day, those one with good screen protector will ensure that your phone will survive accidents like what I have.
by the way, there is a local retailer here on our country(philippines), and they will also install the shield once you bought it from them. so the installation (hard part) will be on them, while you should check after the installation if they install it properly.
have a look on ebay. I bought mine from there and I think there were 3 in the pack. I don't remember the manufacturer, but it's done a great job and doesn't affect the touchscreen in any negative way. I cut the spare ones to fit the screens of two digital cameras I have.
Now that's value for money
i think the original screen-protector is the best
I wanted to get one but could never find anything good, tried those "cut-to-fit" = FAIL
Went on a trip to Shanghai and was looking... couldnt find.... but then...
I found the perfect protector, Sony Camera 2.7 inch display protector.
These are made for Sony Cameras, the display, but work extra perfect and really are durable and have a good feel.
What's the best for glare tho? I find the mini screen a real pain outdoors on a sunny day, I am not so concerned with protection as my leather clamshell case will protect the whole phone from drops and scratches.. I just want the best out door functionality. (or perhaps no screen protector would be best?)

Here you can order one. Look at the picture it says sony.
Worldwide shipping, just orderd one myself.
Zagg Invisible Sheild Maximum Protection is the beast of Protection against scratches, nicks etc
I had it for a year, once my mini had fallen dead spot on the screen, no visible scratches at all. L
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield...es-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php
you can also go with screen coverage only, but for a few bucks I'd rather buy the maximum coverage.
I currently have Maximum coverage covering only the front of the phone, leaving the back unprotected. Back covers are cheap to find, and it's nicer with that gloss original finish.
I second the Zagg Invisible Sheild Maximum Protection as it has worked really great for me.
nice, i'll look for it
I have invisible shield too. The first one unstucked after 6 months around top left sensors (mimmi). It was replaced for free.
Hi guys,
Is there a pre applied screen protector on the Tablet S? Looking closely at the corners of the screen to does look like it but I haven't found any confirmation of this. I have a scratch on my screen and would obviously like to fix that.
Note that it was exactly like this on my Sony Ericsson Xperia arc where I just removed the pre fit screen protector and found a perfectly unscathed glass screen below. SE however declares that they apply a "shatter proof film" to avoid cracked glass displays
Can anyone confirm for the Tablet S? Has anyone tried to remove it?
Thx
Mine never came with one lol
Are you sure? Looks exactly like my phone. You would never have guessed it is there and you need to look really closely.
I bought one last week, and I can confirm there is a screen protector on the Tablet. I bought it in The Netherlands
- SnEAky
Yes, there is indeed one applied from factory, just as there was with my Xperia Play. I did go ahead and add an anti-glare protector on top of mine so I essentially have two protectors on mind now, but I think for most the hassle and frustration of trying to apply a protector without dust/air bubbles etc, simply isn't worth it as you are already protected.
There is a screen protector on the Tablet S just like most of the Android phones from SonyEricsson.
It is quite different from what you can get in the market. The screen protector from the factory is to prevent cracks or breaks. The screen protectors selling on ebay or whatever amazon are for anti-scatching.
I was recommended not to removed the factory screen protector on my X10 once before but I did it. After removing the screen protector, the glass is quite fragile like iphone's. It ends up with cracks at the edge when I dropped my phone from my pocket. Because I was sitting at that moment, the height is approx. 30cm.
Sorry for my bad english.
Mine has a screen protector. It's a 16gb one from the US.
Thanks, looks like the scratch is just on the screen protector then which is good news
On Xperia phones we know it's fine to remove (providing you don't drop it) but would like to hear from someone with a Tablet S. The my scratches aren't big enough to motivate the increased risk of breaking the glass, yet at least..
I have scratch on my screen already, so worry... now since everyone said there is a screen protector I feel better...
It seems redundant to put another screen protector over the factory installed. I can tell there is one on mine since it feels like plastic when I touch the keyboard...Is everyone still putting the sony screen protector over the factory installed?
I did, but it was a b*tch to do so with all the bubbles. But I managed to get them all, but one. See no reason why not use an extra screen-protection when you got one.
Has anyone managed to get this screen protector off the screen? It's a terrible dust magnet so i want to get rid of it and put on the "other" sony one.

Have you found that the sony screen protector has reduced screen sensitivity... especially when typing?
can't said that I had. Did not play around with the screen before i placed the protection over it. It feels fine and responsive. The only thing is that it gets a little harder when it's hot outside and your hands gets warm, but that goes for all touch-devices I guess.
ditto
the matte finish is worth any loss in sensitivity, its fine with the official sony extra cover on and the matte is a BIG diff.
In fact it was a major selling point for me IMO, saw it in store next to the samsung tabs and the glare was hilarious. It wasn't until I was checking the box contents that I realised that the matte finish was due to an extra cover, but since that was part of the deal I didn't care. I didn't realise that it would have any impact on touchscreen sensitivity (?), in my experience with other devices I've not seen such an effect.
I also bought the matte one and applied it over the "other" (since there seems to be no way to peel it of) screen protector. The matte finish is great, and the touch feeling is much better than before. The original screen felt sticky and kind of rubberish when swiping with the finger, the matte one feels more dry. Great improvement!
Didnt get one in the Netherlands, but myn Tablet was a Demo machine in a store
I bought the official Sony protector and I actually really don't like it. I got it on with no bubbles or dust, and the matte finish looks nice when you put it on and feels nice when swiping etc.
Unfortunately, in my case, the touch sensitivity took a steep dive and made swiping vertical lists, vertical combo boxes, etc a real pain to do. By far the worst thing I've found is that the official protector leaves horrid fingerprint marks all over the screen, which kind of ruins the Sony's lovely sleek and shiny looks.
I love my Tablet to pieces, but the official protector I bought here in Australia is truly dreadful.
Don't be a fool, leave the factory applied protector on. It would be like peeling the safety film off of your windshield on your car. There is no practical benefit from doing it.
Either buy a clear aftermarket one or the matte Sony one, but don't degrade your tablet. If you have kids, however, encase it in carbonite ASAP.
Since owners have had the phone a for a bit longer now, I would like some feedback on those screen protector choices you have made.
Basically what I want is the common things:
*As invisible as possible.
*Smooth feeling to the touch is preferred.
*easy to apply is a plus
*I prefer to not remove the sony one already there.
So I was looking at M.glass, other ebay glass ones and then my usual choices like Zagg HD the case friendly version for the plasticky ones.
So what is working out for you guys?
I bought one off of ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/261323055474?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649. It feels nice when you put it on. I got something stuck under it though so if you are installing one make sure your phone is perfectly clean. I like the feel of it better than the normal screen. It was hard to install well for me but probably not as hard as I made it out to be. I had it perfect but removed it to get the thing from under it out and that is where things went wrong.
Thats my problem too when installing myself..always some dust gets in somehow. I am thinking on trying to install inside the bath tub or something after running the how water for like 10 minutes to see if that helps...seriously lol

i have the Armorz Stealth Extreme R on mine. a bit on the pricey side but i love it. I also have one of the ebay ones for the back glass. both were put on over the stock sony screen protectors. on the back piece, i actually soaked the back of the screen with a spray bottle before applying it. It was a pain in the ass pressing out all the bubbles, but it looks flawless after a bit of elbow grease.
I have Glass-M front+back for mine and I absolutely love it. (Removed factory ASF as well). My notes
* It is really smooth. Like freshly made toffee it is so smooth it feels faintly greasy (but it is not). On an almost completely flat table the phone will slowly slide across the surface by itself due to a slope you can't see (be careful)
* I believe touch sensitivity is improved. Finicky DPI sliders in Paranoid Android setups give me no trouble now - before jumping 239,243,241 when I really want 240 dpi exactly. Pencil also works perfectly as a stylus.
* I believe screen brightness and clarity are improved. Subjective and probably due to removal of the ASF (and its invisible tiny scratches)
* Extra glass makes the phone a bit thicker but also much stiffer and I liked this. I also have a Z1 and I miss how solid that phone felt in my hand. Ultra always felt a bit too flimsy (bendy). I also had to widen the slot on my DK30 (sandpaper glued to a flat stick aka big emory board)
* Getting alignment correct is tricky - glass-M slightly smaller than the phone screen edges. Mine went on crooked but I can live with that.
* No dust or bubbles in mine. Used the shower trick of old school film photographers. Long hot steamy shower will effectively clean the room of even tiny dust particles.
* Removing the ASF is a truly harrowing experience (see the other thread). Halfway through you *will* have an "Oh God what have I done" moment. Still totally worth it.
Hope my ramble helps someone. In summary really happy with the Glass-M. :good:

Haha yeah I took it off and it made it way worse... ended up being a waste of money which has been happening a lot since my phone had been sent back for repair. I have wasted so much money. But yeah I bought another one and got it a couple of days ago but have not opened it. I will install it right when my phone gets back.
So when you guys go dual glass (front and back I mean) do you just carry it without a case? I mean, when I remove mine from the case it just feels SOOOO good to hold, like the case makes it feel not as ergonomic even though you will think is just one flat object

Glass-M Front+Back and I carry mine "au naturel". Four weeks of sliding in and out of pocket + keys, coins, cig. lighter etc with no marring or scratches. Seriously it feels way better in my hand than the factory finish: smoother, bit thicker (2x 0.25mm glass + adhesives is a lot on a 6.5mm phone), and far more solid. Absolutely love its handling after placing the extra glass.
Downsides are metal sides will eventually pick up scratches and dents and also I don't like the proximity sensor cutout: messes with the Sony design and makes it look like everybody else's iPhone/Samsung/whatever with slots cut into the front of the phone. I don't believe the cutout is necessary for that sensor to work. (could be wrong about that)

Ah you guys are going to make me join the nudist colony!
Well I got too many cases already on the way but they will live in the car to be used when required, but for the most part I love the feel of it naked....and we are still talking about phones just before someone locks the thread
Does the glass go all the way to the edges of the phone? Like if I use one of those cases that go just above the screen (if those will even fit which I doubt) will it make the glass come off?
I guess I should just not use a case but gosh I bought a couple of nice ones already LOL

Well, I guess I use it without a case at home and at work right now anyway since with my case it wont fit on the DK30 but still, if I were to use a single cable, that case wouldnt let me charge.

yeah maybe I bought cases for decoration now LOL We shall see.
I just thought of one possible issue if I get the Glass-M vs getting a single one for the screen only....I want to get one of those extended batteries case combinations.
So if I get that, I am pretty sure it wont fit with the Glass-M but maybe it will fit if I only get one glass for the front?
I'm getting my glass-m protectors today. I'll post my opinion tomorrow some time
Cool!
I got one of the front glass only protectors from ebay. Still waiting for it to arrive to see if I can deal with it.
I should have gotten the Glass M but I dont feel like modding the DK30 which I will probably have to do anyway

Got my Glass-M protector yesterday put it on this morning. It works great. Its' pretty comparable to the spigen tr I had on my S4 maybe a littler thinner. It includes the front and back glass protectors, rear camera cutout was perfect. The front appears to cover the camera. There is a cutout for something to the left of the camera but I'm not really sure why. Maybe I am misunderstanding the layout? Luckily it laid down well enough that its not causing any distortiong.
It actually feels nicer and seems more fingerprint resistant than the stock bare screen with its ASF film. It's an expensive kit but considering both front and rear protectors are glass it seems like its worth the money to me.
Shipping was also really fast considering it came from hong kong....about 5 days.
So I ended up trying this glass one:
Protector
The feeling and quality of the image is so pristine compared to my previous regular plastic like protector!
I did have to sand paper the DK30 a bit to make it fit but all is good. I still can use all my cases if needed and I left the plastic protector for the back part.
So overall, I think I will keep this one because with the dual Glass M ones, I dont think my cases will work nor the Charging case combo I want.
With the size of this phone and the Explosion proof glass...I feel like Captain America now
Hi all,
it would be nice if we could compile a list of the accessories we're happy with.
I'll start with the official case. It's really snug and feels good in your hand, and (as opposed to the official case of the original Swift) it doesn't crack when you look at it crossly Really happy with it, endorse it without reserve. (You need to like flashy orange, though )
EDIT: this one: https://www.pdashop.be/product/759010/wileyfox-swift-2-swift-2-plus-back-cover-oranje.html
Okay so for the cases:
My device came with the official one (in grey color), and after a month or so the power button came off, it didn't seem very strong at first and I knew that was going to happen at some point. Still, not disappointed with it but I didn't feel like it was "protective enough".
So, I went ahead and bought this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/WileyFox-Olycism-Shock-Absorption-Resistant-Transparent/dp/B06XG78G9B/ which came yesterday, and it definitely feels more safe now. Official case feels too plasticky for me, and I've always been a fan of this gummy style of cases. The cutouts for buttons and I/O are perfect, and align perfectly with the device. It doesn't feel too much thick either, so it's definitely a plus. It has a bezel protecting the screen in case the phone falls to the floor, so yeah. I don't regret spending 6 bucks on it in sale.
I can provide pics of any of both, if someone needs it.
I've got a clear one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132114205792 , which seems to look very similar to the case shared by linuxct . Fits well and cut outs are good.
Need to buy some screen protectors soon..

I got one of these:
amazon.de/Abacus24-7-Handyh%C3%BClle-Kreditkarten-Schutzh%C3%BClle-Smartphone/dp/B01MTY0YJY/ref=sr_1_3?s=telephone&ie=UTF8&qid=1493056844&sr=1-3&keywords=swift+2+abacus
It fits good and the possibillity transport debit cards or paper money without a wallet is nice. Unfortunately the seam dissolves a litte bit but that can beficed with a fire lighter or a drop of superglue.

Are they snug enough? I bought one that looked like these on e-bay for my original Swift, and it wasn't really tight enough. Just tight enough in fact to remain on the phone, but it felt quite loose.
Anyone know a good fitting tempered glass screen protector for the 2X? Al the ones I found are too big (edges don't curve down) and don't stick very well.
Wileyfox themselves have just released a screen protector for the swift 2x I've just ordered one. I've tried loads bought off eBay and had refunds for all of them as the fit has been terrible.
I bought a soft screenprotector from Screenknight. Fits very well and is smooth (after I peeled the protection layer off haha). I don't like the soft feeling, but it's better than an ill fitting tempered glass one.
I'm just gonna order the one on Wileyfox's site and report back when I receive it.
- Edit -
I received the screenprotector.
Good quality and very easy to apply.
After application you see a little oily residue under the screen. I hope that will disappear after a while.
Cool thing is that the logo on the bottom is shiny, so it's more visible than the dark logo.
I too got one of the Wileyfox screen protectors for the swift 2x it has the slightly oily look underneath it too. I thought it was a fault and got a replacement but the second one is the same. It does seem the best fit out of all the ones I've tried so far. The oily look is only visible when the screen is off. I do have a screen knight but have never applied it as I didn't fancy getting the phone wet.
Another one here with the slimy look under the screen protector. Fits nicely and like already said, looks nice too.
Got one of these as a case

Awful. Looks smooth in the piccys but the back has quite sharp edges.
This was the reply from Wileyfox about the "oily" screen protector issue.
"Other than making sure your screen is clean and then reapplying the screen protector there isn't much else I can suggest I'm afraid."
Not a big problem anyway.
Dropped my phone on a sand path with pebbles. My screenprotector flew off. Cracked.
Not a scratch on my screen or case
Been walking around without screenprotector since. The screen is much more responsive compared to with the screenprotector.
I think I'm gonna leave it like this. If my screen breaks, I just get it repaired or get a new phone.
