I tried to take a screenshot on my x10mini, but no matter which software i will use i have the same result. Do You have the same problem?

Yes i think its the same for everyone.
As a workaround, you can use the android sdk to grab screenshots from the connected device.
Drocap2 works fine for me on 2.1-UK, get it from the market.

Same , generic UK, must be some slight difference in the hardware/software?
Thats interesting, but WTF with Sony ???
I had the same issue on the nordic 2.1 firm. Right now i´m on spain generic 2.1 but all the capture screen apps are still wrong.
Why it works on UK firm ?? I assume your phone model it´s the same as mine...
+1 with the same problem.
E10i with 2.0.A.0.504
Done a bit more testing, with drocap2 the image is ok but with shootme the image is fuzzy. It looks like it is a sofware problem.
But it also has to be something else, as on nordic and spain firmwares dropcap doesn´t work properly.
EDIT: Have to do a restore a couple days ago after disabling JIT. I´ve tried again the app and i can confirm that is working on Iberia 2.1 generic firmware.
got my x10mini from hong kong (cheapest i could find ), updated firmware to 2.1 via seus. only drocap2 (drocap for root users) worked on it (tried shootme and screenshot it).
then i updated the firmware again around dec 21, 2010 (that doesn't allow root - yet). so i downgraded back to uk version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=825664).
now nothing works.. anyone has 2.1 hong kong (or asia, i don't know what it's called) firmware? drocap2 should work on it.
Drocap2 also works in greek firmware, though anything else doesn't.
Great, I didn't have any luck so far with any screenshot program, I had the same program, Drocap2 fixed that for me, thanks alot for the tips

Hey everyone,
Was just wondering if Australia has got this update yet?
Today I thought I might check if it has came yet so I opened up SEUS and checked for updates...
I box did come up and said 2.1 update is here blah blah blah, do you want to install it?
I thought it might brick my phone if I try update it on top of my Rooted x10 so I did i clean factory reset and tried updating it through SEUS again but it doesnt come up anymore?
My phone keeps saying my software is up to date and so does PC Companion and SEUS. ( Phone firmware is still on 1.6 on phone)
I uninstalled SEUS and tried again but same outcome...
Does anyone know why it wont show up when my phone isnt rooted and does when rooted?
Is it even out in Australia yet?
Answers would be very appreciated,
Thank you, Chad.
It shouldnt brick, you need to have your phone rooted, and then to change your region code, Global Generic code works fine.
It shows up with an update for me, but it doesnt actually start downloading :/
How do you change your Region code?
Is there a link you can give me mate, or some information?
yea mate, just look at the first post of this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824711
you could also use as an alternative the global generic code instead of the norwegian code thats put in that thread which is 1232-9897
It appears someone here in Aus has already received the update.
Either that or they aren't the brightest and flashed their X10 and still believe their device is somehow evident of an Optus release...

If you're referring to the network settings which the phone lists as available, the only operators listed are Optus and Virgin.
Other than that I haven't noticed any other operator specific logos/settings.
Hi everyone,
I'm in canada and own an x10 with rogers.
Last week, I loaded the global fw on it and rooted it. So far everything works great.
Reading up on other posts, it seems like some ppl who updated prematurely regardless of their regions are planning and coming up with ways to update according to their regions once the official updates roll out.
The question I have is, why? My x10 works fine although it's not x10a anymore. So is it necessary to switch?
Hi man, I just finished to re-flash my X10a with the new Brazilian FW (X10a 2.1) i choose to match Phone Version(X10a) with FW Version(X10a)....reflash is so easy why not?
Btw with GlobalFW my bluetooth dosent work with the laptop (1.6 do) but now with the correct FW works great again (placebo effect? idont kown)
maybe beacuse people want to keep their warranty...

Rogers will release 2.1 tomorrow.
Or at least this is the rumor.

And, like, yeah, warranty.

I recently flashed my at&t X10a to X10a R2BA026 0001 CUSTOMIZED GEL/LUSTER WHITE NAM_1. I assume this is the generic for North America. My question is, does anyone know when the 2.1 update for the firmware I specified will be released? Any information would be much appreciated.

In the post from xperia10 it is X10a CUST-GEL NAM1 1234-4820 this is not the KIT #, it is what you need to get
PC Companion to do a repair. Put in KIT # and you get back up to date no new firnware available.
GEL = GEneric Latin
It is out today 11/17, I loaded it this morning.

Hi All,
I've recently purchased an X10 and while its quite a nice phone, I'm sure it would be a hell of a lot nicer if it was running 2.1 - some things which are "missing" in 1.6 have started to annoy me haha.
To this end, it would appear Telstra are about the slowest telco on the planet to release an update. My current firmware is as follows:
X10a
Country: Australia, Brand: Telstra
Phone Software Version: 1227-4612_R2BA023 GENERIC
I understand that if I follow a tutorial such as the "Debrand your Xperia X10 [Tutorial]" on xperiax10.net (google finds it, I'm not allowed to link yet sorry!) and debrand it, SEUS will then automatically update my phone to 2.1 next time I try to update.
Can anyone tell me what is a good X10a firmware for use in Australia? Note that it needs to be X10a since I use an 850MHz "nextg" network. The list on the link above appears to give me a rather limited set of choices, none of which sound generic or australian (what makes latin america latin america??).
If anyone could give me some hints that would be most apprecitated!
Thanks,
Tom

Which no doubt stems from xda, so you might as well use the original guides from here.
X10Flash 2.1 final & 2.1 Firmware (Update Flasher 14.11.2010)
That will debrand and update you to 504 firmware, then you can install xRecovery, then install a prerooted .24 which is the latest FW, which can't be rooted in the usual methods just yet.
And give this a read too - Step By Step Flashing 1.6 - 2.1
Aside of Xperiax10user advice. After you are done with the upgrade to. 504 2.1 version I recommend you to follow this easy thread to install Xrecovery, delete Junk apps and install Zdizihu's JIT v2...

Hi,
Thanks for the advice! I followed the tutorial and updated to 504, then flashed again to .24, however on both of these my bluetooth does not work :-/ Windows 7 shows nothing in the services menu and the phone seems to pair with devices but never connect. Also the .24 ROM available appears to have been a X10i ROM, this doesn't seem to have mattered though as 850MHz HSDPA still seems to work.
Any thoughts on fixing bluetooth?
I haven't installed the rooted version btw and I'm not quite sure what xrecovery does? Thanks!!
Fixed BT - turns out it didn't like to talk to my MacBookPro on Windows - updating Boot Camp drivers to 3.2 fixed that.
As for xrecovery, what does it do? And how does one root 0.24?
Thanks for the help!

BTW this update doesn't seem to have anything great which can equal the pain taken to reinstall everything. If Termdonte's process works OK universally then it can be tried.
