Folks,
i have created a MP3 files and place it onto any possible location on my SD card to detect as playable music file, but it does not seems to workout as what m expecting.
i am able to play the MP3 files, however it will not open up with MediaScape nor any music player i have on my device but with some strange player without any info. Just like a bid CD Album in the middle, normal playback buttons and 3 small icons at bottom left corner.
Mind to advise should i have any ID3 tag input on the files i have created then only can the device reckon it as music file?
attached will be my music files for reference...
hmm...i did manage to make it works once i have some tag in ID3....Thread close and do apologize for any1 appears to be checking my thread out...

How do i show album art of my songs in tf3d music player.. sorry if this has been aswered but the only that comes up is for wmp... thanks in advance for the help yall!!!!Also i notice scrolling through the music the music pictures dont flip up or downwhen scrolling
Yea I'm kind of interested in this question too. Can't seem to find an answer to this specific question. Do you have to use (sync with) WMP to use the album art feature in the music tab of TF3D? I created a music folder on my microSD card and just dumped all my music on it. But it doesn't show up in TF3D, and I have to access the file to even play it.
Thanks.
I sync music to my phone using WMP on the computer, and it embeds the art on each track, so it shows on TF3D. You may also try the how-to in this site: http://discuss.pocketnow.com/showthread.php?t=23550
Wow, that article is a really complicated way to say, just drop an image in each album's folder on your device and name the image "folder.jpg".
I just looked at the sample music and saw that's how they did it.
i messed with my profor a long time until it paid off......
usinf total cammander go to the file wherethe music resides
make sure you gave the album art there
whatever the name is rename it to folder
then make a copy of it and name it hTC_AM_AlbumArt
soft reset and it should work
it did for me

Click to collapse
i had trouble doing this at irst but i finally figured it out.very simple.
1st, get mp3tag and install
2nd: run mp3 tag and search for music files on your computer(your songs)p/s save all songs on computer and not on phone
3rd: download jpg files of artist for your songs, try to download the album jpg files(you can name it whatever you like)
4th: using mp3tag,edit each song album art by importing the ones you have downloaded for your songs i.e j-lo :love don't cost a thing(download either an ordinary pic of j-lo or the album cover for that song, call it whatever you like)
after editing the the songs album covers, exit mp3 tag
5th; open wmp and play your songs, save them as a playlist or several play lists.
sync PLAY LIST to you htc touch pro,and reset
off you go
I have a TP with the original ROM, and about 1.2 GB of music on an 8GB microSD. The music plays fine in Windows Media Player (just in case anyone was going to suggest that the card was the problem, and I installed the SD cab to speed up the card). When I try and play music in the Sprint Music tab, sometimes it won't play, and other times it will play the first 5-10 seconds of the song and then just stop.
I actually prefer the Sprint Music player over WM Player, I find it a cleaner application, and if anyone knows how I can solve this problem, I would appreciate it.
I know there are people out there that have 16GB cards filled with music, and they don't have this problem, so what's going on with my TP? I also can't find any answers in any other post here, or in a Google search.
Thanks in advance.
Have you thought about using Slide to Play? http://s2u2.ac-s2.com/
So here's the fix for the HTC Music player problem. First off Have you tried to add Album art to your MP3's? Personally I used Media monkey and added album art to all my mp3 files. This totally screwed up the HTC music player. After removing the album art from these files I was able to get the music player working again.
Second, there seems to be an issue for me with how the Folder is labeled in the storage card. If you call it "media" Sprint player see's the files but WMP does not. If you call it "Music" WMP sees the files but Sprint player does not.
Not sure whats the problem but it seems you have to choose which player to use.
So make sure the files are plain MP3 files in a folder named "Media" in order for your sprint player to work. If you want album art check out the Music folder in your Device and replicate the file format (FolderMP3name with MP3 file and "Folder" with containing album art. Oddly enough I think this is how the WMP tags MP3 files.
Or I'm an idiot and don't know what i'm doin
I have recently updated the album art in some of my music files using iTunes on my PC. They display correctly when I play the songs on my PC, but when I delete the old files from the SD card on my Atrix and transfer the update files, and play the songs with the Android music player, Google Music player, Winamp, or Meridian Player, all of them continue to show the old embedded album art. I know the file has the new image because I have viewed the file on my phone using File Expert which displays a thumbnail of the image next to the file name, but I can't seem to find a way to get the new image to show in any of the music players instead of the old one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
After more searching, looks like I found the answer to my own question. Someone posted on another forum that you have to go into "Android/Data/com.android.providers.media/ albumthumbs" folder and delete all of the cache files. Android will then rebuild the cache from the current music files. I've tried this and it seems to have worked as all of the music players now display the new album art. I should work a little harder before asking for help. Sorry!
Man Thank you so much, i was searching for this everywhere!
On my SGP 4.2 I noticed that both the stock Samsung music player and Poweramp seem to "eat" m3u playlist.
This is what has been happening. I would put together a playlist (m3u) file then put that file into a folder called playlist at the root of the ext.SD and as soon as I disconnect from the PC and launch either players the playlist (the physical m3u file) will disappear.
In the case of the SamSung player the playlist will show up under playlist even though the m3u file is no longer there. In the case of Poweramp the playlist will show up briefly and then it playlist will show that it is empty and vanish alltogether.
The work-around I found was to use pls files instead of m3u files and the stock Samsung music player sees and works with the pls file without making it vanish. I stopped using Poweramp due to other bugs so I have no idea if Poweramp behaves the same way around pls files.
Question: does anyone one know where and how the stock Samsung music player store it's playlist (one that was created within the program) ?
Knowing that will give me more options when manipulating playlists.
Thanks!
So, recently I heard about Google's Music Cloud thing where you can store 20,000 songs for free apparently. I was interested in this, so I decided to upload my songs to it.
I then decided I wanted to fix up my music collection, so I renamed all my music properly (artist - song (mix)). But then I realized, that the mp3 tags were either non-existent, or still messed up as well.
I have foobar2000 installed, and I was able to wipe out old tag data I didn't want, and then automatically enter then artist and song names in the right tag spots based on filename, so I did this.
So after reuploading my music, I found out that I made a few minor mistakes, and wanted to reupload the entire collection again, but Music Manager doesn't allow you to reupload previously uploaded music, even if you delete it from your music storage.
A fix for this was to rebuild mp3 tags from foobar2000 as well, which then modified every music file (but doesn't actually change the quality of audio or anything), and thus, made them all appear "different" to Music Manager, allowing me to reupload them.
And for a short summary:
- foobar2000 can properly fix music tags based on filename
- foobar2000 can rebuild mp3 tags
- Google's Music Manager lets you upload 20k songs for free (certain restrictions on certain filetypes and protected media)
Maybe someone might find this interesting
Thanks
